On this business trip to Guangzhou, I habitually chose the Dongfang Hotel again. Its location is super convenient; I got here easily from Guangzhou South Railway Station by subway. I've stayed here a few times before and I really love the ambiance and historical feel of this old-school hotel. The old photos lining the corridors in the lobby truly showcase its rich history. I'm grateful for the complimentary upgrade to an executive suite, and a special shout-out to Li and Feng from the concierge for helping me receive my express packages. The breakfast variety and dining environment are also excellent! My only minor issues were that the shower water was a bit too hot, and while the toilet looked like a smart one, it lacked the most important bidet function, which was a bit disappointing.

My second child was insistent on going to a hot spring during dinner, so I booked a hotel, packed, and drove there all within two hours. A big shoutout to the front desk attendant (Xiao Mo) for being so patient! She told us all about local attractions and good places to eat, and even upgraded our room for free. The room was super clean, just like what you'd expect from a big-name five-star hotel, and the balcony view was fantastic! 👍👍👍

This was my second stay, and the room was huge! I really loved the design and layout. You can also take the tram that goes to Canton Tower from here, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Despite that, the hotel location is a quiet oasis in a lively area, which is great. The river view rooms offer beautiful scenery outside the window.

This is my second stay here for a conference, and I booked a twin room. It was quiet at night for sleeping, though occasionally there was a noticeable sound of running water from the bathroom.

The service was still warm and welcoming. After check-in, a staff member called to ask if I was satisfied with the assigned room and immediately arranged for welcome fruit.

However, I can never quite figure out the room lights. The control panel by the bed doesn't accurately control all the lights; the bedside spotlights only turn on and off with all the other lights. Also, after turning off the air conditioning, the control screen emitted a strong buzzing sound. I hope the hotel can improve these issues.

The hotel service was excellent! Manager Hu at the front desk was especially gentle and courteous, with a pleasant smile and quick assistance to resolve issues. I was deeply impressed! This was a pleasant short break, and we're excited to explore the world-class Nansha. The future is bright and exciting!
The hotel's gym is large and well-equipped, and the indoor pool is perfect for children. We recommend opening the outdoor pool soon!

We came here to see Ah Mei's concert. We searched and found this hotel is very cost-effective. As expected, it is convenient to go directly to the South Station by subway. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, suitable for business training, and the subway station is opposite! It is very convenient, but there is not much food, but it is very convenient to order meals. After checking out, we also had afternoon tea in the restaurant downstairs. The front desk service of this hotel is very polite, and they specially helped us upgrade the room. The room is very new, clean and sanitary, and the bed is very comfortable. I will stay here again and I like it very much.

Qiling Hotel: A Quiet Choice Next to Huayan Temple in Huadu

I originally planned to stay at Atour Hotel, but because it was far from Huayan Temple in Huadu, Guangzhou, I finally chose Qiling Hotel, which was only a few hundred meters away. This choice was undoubtedly a big surprise on this trip.

As soon as you step into Qiling Hotel, you can feel the high quality of its hardware facilities. The environment is quiet and elegant, and the lush lawn and atrium garden complement each other, making people feel like they are in a quiet oasis. The hotel service is also very warm. In the early morning, even the aunties who meet by chance will send warm greetings.

The room is equipped with facilities from well-known brands such as American Standard and Panasonic, and the details such as automatic flushing toilets and complimentary bottled water are all attentive. The corridor on the first floor near the highway is spacious and atmospheric, more than two meters wide, reaching the standard of a five-star hotel. Here, even if there are small needs such as insufficient hangers, the waiter will respond quickly with a phone call, and the thoughtful service can be said to be responsive.

The breakfast experience is also wonderful. The mung bean soup porridge is sweet and delicious. The rich dishes make people's appetite increase greatly. The overall cost performance is very high. The hotel's parking is very convenient. The parking lot can directly reach the lobby door, which is very convenient for getting on and off the car or carrying luggage. The landscape design at the lobby door is ingenious. Whether it is a dazzling night view or a bright day, you can take satisfactory photos.

The bedding in the guest room is well selected, ironed flat, clean and tidy. The bathroom has sufficient hot water supply, strong water flow, and high-quality toiletries. The interior decoration of the hotel is also quite distinctive. The corridor on the first floor displays many GAC models, highlighting its origin with GAC Group.

It is worth mentioning that the guests during the stay were very quiet, allowing me to enjoy a quiet rest time. This trip to Qiling Hotel not only allowed me to get a full rest in a comfortable environment, but also felt the hotel's care and quality in the details. If I have the opportunity to come to Huadu again in the future, Qiling Hotel will definitely be my only choice.

It was an unexpected stay. It was originally intended to be a place to stay for one night on the way back to Shaoguan from Mangshan, and to soak in the hot springs to relieve the fatigue of climbing. The result was so good that we had to change our itinerary and stay here for another night!

The entire resort is built in the style of Bali. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the stone decoration makes people feel very refreshing. The large-scale empty restaurant and lobby, plus the artificial waterfall behind the lobby, give people a very relaxing atmosphere.

The hot spring area is simply amazing. It is built along the hillside and the guests can enter the mountain unlimited times. There are pools and amusement facilities for children to play, and there are three normal temperature swimming pools, one of which is the infinity pool at the top.

From the foot of the mountain to the top of the hillside, there are dozens of hot spring pools of different sizes, with a comfortable water temperature range of 38-43. There are many water dispensers in the hot spring area, and there is a food building in the middle, which provides free sweet potatoes, taro and drinks without limit. You can stay in it for a day as long as you want.

Going up to the infinity pool at the top, in front of us is a magnificent picture of Yangxi River Reservoir and the mountains in the distance. Especially when we encountered a short rainstorm in the infinity pool, we hid in the roofed hot spring pool next to the infinity pool. The heavy rain outside made the water surface crackle, and the mountains in the distance were looming in the rain and fog. At this moment, the Chinese landscape painting seemed to have turned from paper into reality, which was even more amazing than the scenery on a sunny day.

In addition, there are slides and swings for children to play by the river, and there is a plank road ending at a small waterfall for fun. In summer, there will be a water park. Considering the price here, the cost performance is much higher than that of the resorts in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. It is really a paradise for children.

The only regrettable thing is the food here. The price of the Chinese restaurant is much higher than that of the farm outside, but the taste is not much different. The food in the breakfast restaurant is simply unworthy of the name of the Guangdong and Guangxi gourmet province. It is recommended to improve.

1. Best service. Especially a Liu*Mei for breakfast? The staff are very dedicated. Sorry I didn't remember all their names. There was no watermelon for breakfast at that time, and the child told her about it. She immediately brought a big watermelon to cut and peeled the skin carefully, comparable to a five-star hotel. Even her mother was not as careful as she was when cutting watermelon for her child.
2 The price is reasonable. During the National Day holiday, the average room cost two to three hundred yuan, and it seems that the price has not increased much. The suite we booked cost a little more than usual. Booking on holidays will be expensive, so it is recommended that you book at least one day in advance. The suite I booked cost more than 700 yuan on the day of booking, but less than 600 yuan a day in advance.
3. The surrounding area is fun. It is very close to the Hongqi Tea Factory, 1.7 kilometers away. I had a great time playing in the tea factory for a day. The most worthwhile experience is picking and making tea by myself. The tea tree is an old one. I made Yinghong No. 9 green tea myself. When I got home and drank it, it was comparable to the raw Pu'er tea from the ancient tree. There is a Chocolate Kingdom 2.8 kilometers away. There is no need to queue during the National Day holiday. Children under 1.4 meters tall can enjoy all the activities.
4 Complain about breakfast. Booked a suite with breakfast, but only 2 breakfasts were provided. Children over 1.4 meters tall will be charged 38 yuan for breakfast. It feels like the dim sum is not freshly made and the quality is so-so. During my two-day stay, I only ate freshly made soup noodles and vegetables.
5 The food in the self-operated restaurant next to the hotel is very good. Went there twice.
Suggestion for the hotel: It would be perfect if the breakfast could be improved.
