The hotel is as we remembered - still as classy and elegant, with its stunning lobby and beautifully manicured central courtyard garden. The suite we were upgraded to has been recently renovated to a high standard and there are signs that other parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment too (for example, work on the roof) which is a good sign of regular maintenance. A pity though that the breakfast, whilst still brimming with choice and variety, has lost some of its quality. Breakfast at the hotel was, during our last visit, a serene experience we anticipated every morning. On our current revisit, the breakfast room has become chaotic and noisy like a railway terminal, as the hotel appears to gear increasingly towards catering for large conference groups. Tables, hitherto confined to the actual breakfast room and the lovely tree-arbored terrace overlooking the fountains and ponds, have now spilled over into the colonnaded corridors of the garden, ruining both the ambience and lowering the tenor of what used to be an elegant ritual. The calibre of the hotel guests seems to have deteriorated as well, which is a pity for this iconic, historic hotel.

The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and helpful, and check-in was quick. It has a private hot spring bath, and there's also a public hot spring pool on the rooftop. The location is convenient, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again!

The room was spacious and the facilities were new. The window could even be opened, and the biggest surprise was the view of Canton Tower and Huangpu River. The water pressure was excellent, and the soundproofing was great. We stayed for two nights, and they even tidied up and restocked our necessities. The bed was very comfortable. Although the location is a bit far from the subway, there are plenty of food delivery options nearby, and it's easy to get a taxi. It's also close to the tram and the Metro Museum, making it very suitable for families with children. The service was good even during Chinese New Year. The buffet breakfast on the 23rd floor had a rich variety of options. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy and not cool enough; I imagine it might get a bit hot in the summer.

The service was perfect. The staff contacted us a day in advance to check the number of people traveling, upgraded our room, and prepared children's supplies and welcome fruit for our children. The hotel is very grand, with activities related to the 15th National Games. The connecting corridor is stunning, and the room has a great view. I could relax and unwind looking out the window while the children played in the pool. It's also not far from the Shisiyong Seafood Market, so we drove there after enjoying the seafood. It was a very satisfying stay.

Newly opened hotel with new facilities. Outside the hotel is an experimental field with a quiet environment. The location is also very convenient, just opposite the subway entrance and close to various attractions in Cheung Chau. The only difference is that the breakfast options are a little limited.

The environment is beautiful, the room is large, the front desk upgraded the room for free and the attitude was good. However, the area around the hotel is similar to a village in the city, and the bathroom in the hotel room is small, and the water is heated by electricity, which is inconvenient to use in winter.

It was an unexpected stay. It was originally intended to be a place to stay for one night on the way back to Shaoguan from Mangshan, and to soak in the hot springs to relieve the fatigue of climbing. The result was so good that we had to change our itinerary and stay here for another night!

The entire resort is built in the style of Bali. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the stone decoration makes people feel very refreshing. The large-scale empty restaurant and lobby, plus the artificial waterfall behind the lobby, give people a very relaxing atmosphere.

The hot spring area is simply amazing. It is built along the hillside and the guests can enter the mountain unlimited times. There are pools and amusement facilities for children to play, and there are three normal temperature swimming pools, one of which is the infinity pool at the top.

From the foot of the mountain to the top of the hillside, there are dozens of hot spring pools of different sizes, with a comfortable water temperature range of 38-43. There are many water dispensers in the hot spring area, and there is a food building in the middle, which provides free sweet potatoes, taro and drinks without limit. You can stay in it for a day as long as you want.

Going up to the infinity pool at the top, in front of us is a magnificent picture of Yangxi River Reservoir and the mountains in the distance. Especially when we encountered a short rainstorm in the infinity pool, we hid in the roofed hot spring pool next to the infinity pool. The heavy rain outside made the water surface crackle, and the mountains in the distance were looming in the rain and fog. At this moment, the Chinese landscape painting seemed to have turned from paper into reality, which was even more amazing than the scenery on a sunny day.

In addition, there are slides and swings for children to play by the river, and there is a plank road ending at a small waterfall for fun. In summer, there will be a water park. Considering the price here, the cost performance is much higher than that of the resorts in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. It is really a paradise for children.

The only regrettable thing is the food here. The price of the Chinese restaurant is much higher than that of the farm outside, but the taste is not much different. The food in the breakfast restaurant is simply unworthy of the name of the Guangdong and Guangxi gourmet province. It is recommended to improve.

I took my kids here when it just opened 10 years ago and was very satisfied. I wanted to take some comparison photos and come again 10 years later. I was extremely disappointed. I was prepared for the old decoration. To be honest, the room was clean. But the public area swimming pool and hot spring pool were dirty and cold, and the service attitude was not good. The toilet was blocked at night, so I thought I would not bother the waiter to wait until the morning to clean it up. In the end, the toilet paper ran out and I asked her for an extra roll. The answer was, didn’t she give you too much yesterday? (The toilet paper was very thin and not enough. I asked her when I checked in.) When I asked her to give me more water in the room, she said she would charge for it. The attitude was as if the hotel’s things were her personal things. This kind of waiter was just driving customers away. Moreover, I came here with a good impression in the past. I was extremely disappointed. It is a doomed hotel. There will be no next time.
