Kodhipparu

Aside from the slightly dated facilities and its location outside Otaru city center, there are no other downsides. There's a covered walkway from the train station to the mall, and the hotel is located inside this shopping mall. The mall has many restaurants, and most conveniently, there's an Aeon supermarket. Across the street is the bay harbor, perfect for an evening stroll. The hotel service is excellent. Although the hotel opened some time ago and the facilities are a bit old, they aren't dilapidated. For example, there are no USB ports, which nowadays could be considered an 'old money' aesthetic. I recommend staying for more than two days; one day is too short.

After the summer holidays, taking advantage of a brief dip in prices before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, I went to Singapore for a two- or three-day business trip. Ctrip was having its 919 big sale at the time, and I snagged a pretty good deal on a pre-sale package for this hotel. I quickly booked two nights, September 15-16, only to find out they only release two reservation slots per day. Luckily, there were exactly four of us, so it worked out perfectly – any more and we couldn't have booked, any less and it wouldn't have been worth it. For pre-sale packages like this, if you have a larger group, you really need to pay attention to availability. As for the hotel itself, everything was decent, nothing spectacular. The main draw is its excellent location, not far from tourist attractions, and with convenient access to shops, supermarkets, and dining options nearby. The promotional price made it incredibly good value for money.

The Ultimate Healing Retreat: A Luxurious Escape for the Soul

If you are looking for a place to truly disconnect from the noise of the world and find your inner peace again, Grand Park Kodhipparu is the ultimate destination. After experiencing a period of burnout, this resort was exactly what I needed to recharge and find a fresh perspective on life.

Seamless Arrival & Pristine Beauty

From the moment we deal with the staff at the arrival area, the experience was effortless. The resort provides a dedicated luxury speedboat that picks you up and drops you off directly at the airport. It takes away all the stress of travel logistics. The island itself is incredibly well-maintained. The sand is powdery white, and the entire resort is kept spotlessly clean, preserving the natural beauty of the Maldives.

A Sanctuary for Peace

What I appreciated most was how the resort caters to both physical and spiritual well-being. They have a beautifully maintained mosque on the island, which is very serene, clean and well-kept. It added a layer of calm and convenience that made the stay even more meaningful

And not to forget, for your food of mind, they also have a mini library so that we can lay down through out the stay accompanied by the book of our choice. It can be borrowed & later returned via the reception.

Unforgettable Highlights

Snorkeling from the Villa: One of the best parts of the stay was being able to jump straight into the crystal clear water for snorkeling right under my room. The marine life is vibrant and right at your doorstep.

Dolphins at Breakfast: Imagine sipping your morning coffee and watching dolphins play in the distance. We were lucky enough to spot them during breakfast, which was a magical way to start the day.

Stargazing: During serene night, either near the beach or while you slowly brisk walking back to your room, it’s surely the perfect place to just enjoy the Maldivian night sky with the beautiful shining stars smiling at you.

The Staff: The service here is world-class. Every staff member is genuinely kind, attentive, and dedicated to making your stay perfect. They really go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home.

The Perfect Cure for Burnout

The atmosphere at Grand Park Kodhipparu is incredibly quiet and private. It is the perfect place to sit with a book, listen to the waves, and clear your mind. I left the island feeling like a new person, with a renewed spirit and a calm heart.

Final Verdict: A 10/10 experience. Whether you are seeking luxury or a deep mental reset, this is the place to be. We cannot recommend it enough! 😘
