The room was pretty decent for being in the city. We booked the half-board option, choosing breakfast and dinner. However, there was a discrepancy regarding dinner; the front desk and the restaurant staff told us different things. We were initially told both the second and third-floor restaurants were options. When we went to the second floor, they said no, and it took some back-and-forth communication to resolve it. Then, at the third-floor restaurant, they also said no, despite the front desk confirming it was fine. We went back to the third-floor restaurant, and again, they refused. Isn't this something that should be synchronized internally within the hotel?

During my two-day stay, the master bedroom's bathtub and shower were unusable. The water temperature was too low, reaching a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius even when turned up all the way, and it wouldn't maintain that temperature. Hotel staff came to check and discuss three times, each time claiming the equipment was working fine and advising that the bathtub shouldn't be filled more than halfway with hot water. However, in reality, the hot water in the tub only lasted for 2-3 minutes before turning lukewarm. The entire bathing experience cooled down within 5 minutes, leaving not even enough lukewarm water for a shower. The second bedroom had the same issue; after the first person used it, even waiting over half an hour wasn't enough for the next person to have a complete hot shower. This is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel and doesn't meet its service standards. The entire communication process severely disrupted our travel plans. Furthermore, from the night of check-in until the next morning, all four phones in our suite were unable to connect to the front desk for assistance. Eventually, we had to rely on Trip.com to contact staff to come to our standalone building for repairs.

On the positive side, the suite had good views. At the breakfast buffet, when we asked if they had Spanish coffee, they initially said no, but then directly brought us a prepared cup, which was a nice touch and made us feel a bit touched.

Great hotel, very near the beach. Rooms are clean and very well maintained. Will definitely recommend this hotel to travellers coming to Dubai. I will definitely come back one day.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the metro station, making transportation incredibly convenient. Right next door, there's a shopping mall and a Carrefour supermarket, which was absolutely perfect for our last-minute shopping spree before heading back home. The room itself was incredibly spacious. We stayed on the 30-something floor, offering expansive views and a spectacular cityscape. The bathtub was huge, making for a wonderfully relaxing soak, and the bedding was also superb, ensuring a very sound sleep. The TV was actually the largest we saw during our entire trip to the UAE. As a honeymoon couple, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a chocolate cake for us, which tasted fantastic.

The most delightful surprise was the hotel's outdoor swimming pool on the sixth floor. It's really large, divided into two sections: 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters deep. There were plenty of loungers by the pool and even a bar. We went twice in total; the first time we stayed for three hours, and the second time we indulged for a full six hours. Just lying there, reading a book, browsing on our phones, occasionally taking a dip, and then coming back to relax some more – it was truly delightful. When we got hungry, we'd order pizza, quesadillas, or fries, and the prices were very reasonable. Plus, they had a happy hour from 4 PM to 7 PM daily, offering various alcoholic beverages.

The only minor inconvenience was that if you ordered takeout, you had to go downstairs to pick it up yourself. Delivery drivers weren't allowed upstairs, and the hotel didn't offer room service for deliveries.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable two-day stay here.

It's a little strange that children are not allowed to stay~ The location is in the city center, but it's not very convenient to travel, and the road is closed in front of the door~

I’m not sure if Paris is just expensive in general, but… this place doesn’t really feel like a 5-star hotel.
There’s a musty, almost moldy smell in the room, and the water pressure is so low that it took me forever to take a shower. 😩
But then again, the last 5-star hotel I stayed at didn’t even have hot water, so… I guess low water pressure is something I can live with.

They did upgrade my room, but honestly… aside from being bigger, there’s not much to like.
Since it’s just the two of us, we don’t really need a larger room anyway.
The whole place — from the room itself to the building and even the elevator — feels old and a bit unpleasant.
For a 5-star hotel, it’s really disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s an InterContinental right across the street, and the staff there actually greeted guests properly.
It was around the same price, and honestly, I wish I had stayed there instead.
The staff here are very kind, but apart from that, I have to be honest about what really matters to me.

I do appreciate the room upgrade, 
but truely the hotel facilities are disappointing.

The experience staying at Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe was remarkable. From the service (at the reception, bellboy, room service staff) to the room itself, the quality was just top-notch. Felt welcoming every single time I returned to rest after the end of each day, and even during checking out, the staff left a good impression. Will be back to stay at this hotel!

The hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of various attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with separate wet and dry areas. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is rich.

Great hotel! The front desk is open 24 hours. We checked in late at night and initially received a smaller room than what we had booked, but a male staff member was willing to help and switched rooms for us. The stay was great, with good amenities, we requested a fan at check-in for extra ventilation, and they provided it easily. We also ordered food delivery, and robots delivered it to our room. Ive was very helpful in guiding us through the ******* app. The hotel is clean and new. On our last day after checkout, the staff were very nice and helpful with bright smiles, both when we wanted to leave our luggage and when we picked it up as well.

I highly recommend the Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao! The front desk service was absolutely amazing. My business trip to Shanghai was disrupted by heavy rain, and I arrived at the hotel late at night, tired and anxious. The two front desk staff members were smiling throughout, quickly checked me in, and even proactively helped me change my room type, recommending a quiet room on a higher floor. What was even more heartwarming was that when they learned my subsequent plans were affected, they patiently helped me check the weather, recommended indoor activities, and even assisted me in arranging transportation. The hotel's location is excellent, and they offer a free shuttle to Hongqiao Tiangai, but the most memorable aspect was definitely their professional yet warm service. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming!
