During my stay, I received a complimentary BTS Skytrain one-day pass. The room was clean, and the staff were very polite, always greeting me kindly. The bed was incredibly large and comfortable, and the shower pressure was excellent – a big plus! The breakfast spread was extensive, and the noodle soup was delicious. There's a large supermarket and mall nearby, and a 7-Eleven and ATM right outside the hotel, which was very convenient. Highly recommended!

The hotel is situated in an upscale neighborhood, a popular choice among Japanese, Korean residents, and expats. The rooms are incredibly spacious, measuring over 40 square meters, and come with two beds and a balcony offering excellent views. The in-room washing machine was a fantastic convenience for daily laundry. The hotel maintains excellent cleanliness standards. The surrounding area feels very safe and boasts a 7-Eleven, numerous Michelin-starred restaurants, and a wide selection of high-quality Japanese and Korean eateries. For added convenience, the hotel provides a tuk-tuk service to the nearby BTS station. Plus, there's a great gelato shop on the ground floor offering generous portions at affordable prices.

Beautiful hotel in the lively area of Sukhumvit. Great amenities and incredible view from the restaurant and bar at the top. Room was exactly as photographed, clean and to a great standard. Would definitely stay again. Thanks to all the lovely, helpful staff

Check-in was smooth and the staff were very helpful. I needed a late check-out and they recommended joining the membership which allowed it, super thoughtful! The room was clean, spacious, and had great natural light. The bed was comfy, aircon worked well (and didn’t trigger my sinus), and the bathroom was spotless with a bidet and nice-smelling toiletries.

Some appliances like the hair dryer and weighing scale were a bit outdated, and the towels were slightly rough, but everything else worked great including the washing machine and microwave. Breakfast was a small spread but everything was tasty. The infinity pool offers a beautiful sunset view (I didn’t swim but it looked great).

They also provide free tuk-tuk shuttles to the nearby BTS. Location wise, Thonglor is perfect with plenty of food and massage spots around. Housekeeping was exceptional. They even folded my clothes and returned forgotten items on my last day.

Perfect for families, business trips, or long stays. Quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Only suggestion would be to add an anti-slip mat for the bathtub. Overall, a really pleasant stay!

Excellent friendly staffs and smooth check-in process, help me decorate the room for love anniversary. Really delighted and happy to have stay in the one bedroom apartment at level 7. Very spacious and comes with free detergent daily. Very quiet and ease of going to Asoke or Nana and Thonglor via bolt. Opposite the hotel have a 7-11 to buy anything.

Facilities: Very spacious room.
Hygiene: Spotlessly clean and no unpleasant odors, making for a comfortable stay.
Environment: Large and well-equipped with amenities.
Service: Very patient service; housekeeping and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly.
I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Bangkok.

We stayed at Somerset Grand Hanoi in November and had a wonderful experience. Yes, the hotel is older, but it is extremely convenient—just a 7–10 minute walk to the Old Quarter and close to everything you’d want to explore. The cooler weather was perfect; we could comfortably wear shorts, and the kids even enjoyed the pool.

Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit on the 10th floor was spacious and practical, with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer combo—super helpful for families. The kids especially loved the ping pong table! There’s also a Quick Mart right inside the hotel, which made it easy to grab breakfast items, snacks, and even last-minute things like cough drops.

We didn’t eat at the hotel since there are so many incredible options just steps away—but that’s part of the charm of staying here.

Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and family-friendly place to stay in Hanoi. Highly recommend!

This hotel was absolutely unreal. From the moment we arrived, we were approached with polite and kind attitudes not the staff, offered a medicinal tea during our wait and patiently assisted in locating am ATM to retrieve cash for a deposit. Every instance of our arrival and departure from the hotel for our day to day activities followed by polite greetings from the front desk staff.

The view was beautiful, and the service apartment came supplied with several household objects including cooking pots, pans, and utensils. It was also equipped with a microwave which was very convenient.

The location which just a 15-20 minute drive from Old Quarter, and still convenient enough for exploring by walking. There were several authentic shops and restaurants nearby which made for easy access to great meals and snacks during daily activities. I would highly recommend a stay with this hotel.

The location is a little far from the Old Quarter, but it was a great stay. The staff was wonderful. They were super sweet, leaving me a cake in the fridge for my birthday. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Hanoi.

Good apartment but misleading photos and far from center
The Somerset Guangzhou was a decent stay overall. The room was good and comfortable, with everything you need for a serviced apartment.
However, the view was disappointing - just a regular city view with nothing special to see. The photos in the listing are quite misleading about the views, so don't expect what's shown online.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, which was appreciated.
The apartment has all the necessary amenities, which is convenient for a longer stay.
The main downside is the location it's quite far from the city center and there aren't really any public transport options nearby, so you'll need to rely on taxis or ride-hailing apps.
Overall, it's not bad if you have your own transport, but be aware of the distance from downtown.

I've stayed at Somerset twice now and both experiences have been great. The front desk is on the 47th floor, and the rooms are all above the 37th floor, so there are absolutely no obstructions – the views are incredible, with the Pearl River right below, completely unobstructed. The subway station is just downstairs, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There's a Starbucks and a convenience store nearby, and it's very close to the university town. You can even bike there, or it's just one subway stop away. University students' stuff is always good and cheap! Breakfast is included and the variety is pretty decent. For this business trip to Guangzhou, I couldn't book Somerset for the first two nights and stayed at a hotel nearby, but it wasn't as good as this one. So I quickly moved back for the last two nights.

I recently traveled and had an absolutely fantastic experience at this hotel! Its prime location in the city center was a huge plus, with malls, restaurants, and tourist spots all conveniently located within a few minutes' walk. Getting around was incredibly convenient.

Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed. It was spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated in a minimalist yet stylish way. Everything was impeccably clean, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable – it felt like sleeping on a cloud, ensuring a deep and restful sleep every night. The bathroom featured a convenient wet and dry separation, and the toiletries were of good quality. The attention to detail throughout was truly impressive.

The service at the hotel was simply outstanding. From the warm welcome I received from the staff at the front desk during check-in to their prompt and efficient handling of any requests throughout my stay, I felt genuinely cared for. The breakfast spread was extensive, offering both Western and Chinese options, and everything tasted delicious – a perfect way to start an energetic day.

Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. It's perfect for both business travelers and leisure tourists, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone! I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again on my next visit to the area!
