This hotel boasts an excellent location, with river-view rooms offering stunning panoramas of Guangzhou city and the Pearl River. It's just a few hundred meters from Tianzi Wharf, where you can take a boat tour of the Pearl River, and equally close to Beijing Road, perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping, and a visit to Fanlou for authentic Cantonese cuisine. The church is also conveniently nearby. The lobby design beautifully reflects Guangzhou's charm, and the staff are very friendly. Parking is convenient, with slow-charging EV stations available, making it very car-friendly. Any room issues are handled promptly and efficiently by the staff, demonstrating high service standards.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Asia International Hotel. I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience. The breakfast was extensive and offered a wide variety of options, all while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view, which made the mornings even more special.
The swimming pool was also a great addition—clean, relaxing, and perfect to unwind after a busy day.
What stood out most was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, and communication in English was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday.  Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking.  
Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day.  The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food.  Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro.
Reception is big but not enough seats
All in all would hv expected something more for a 5* hotel

I booked an Executive Room, and it was unexpectedly perfect!

Service: I was escorted from the front desk on the first floor to the Executive Lounge on the third floor for check-in. It was quiet and efficient; I just sat comfortably and waited. The staff on this floor were noticeably a cut above – all tall, beautiful, and with lovely voices. They could all provide service in three languages, and their Cantonese was perfectly modulated, soft and soothing, truly melting your heart. While I was in a blissful daze, the staff even arranged a room upgrade and late check-out for me – super happy! 🥳

On the night of check-in, they gave us a welcome gift and a handwritten card as a small anniversary present. 🥰🥰🥰

Perhaps due to the late check-out service, the room card's magnetic strip had a slight issue, but it was resolved quickly and smoothly – excellent job!

Every staff member I encountered, at all levels, had genuinely radiant smiles, not forced at all. The entire team is well-trained, and the salaries and benefits must be good around here – truly living up to the 'White Swan' name. ☺️

Dual Executive Lounge Privileges: By the time we checked in, it was past afternoon tea, so we enjoyed the evening cocktail hour. There was a variety of basic mixes, and they could even make non-alcoholic versions for ladies and children. Besides small snacks, there were various Western appetizers, nuts, cookies, and cheese to pair with red wine. Vegetable salads and fruits were also available, along with Chinese dishes like chicken wings and braised ox tongue – you could easily have a full meal! 🤣 Unfortunately, we only had a little bite before heading to the pool.

Cleanliness: All mirrors and metal surfaces in the room were sparkling clean, the bathtub was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable.

Facilities: The heated infinity pool has an accompanying hot tub and changing rooms with showers. The large towels were clean and soft. Right next to it is the spa, separated for men and women, with both dry and wet saunas. There are attendants to guide and introduce you, so you won't feel lost.

What's particularly worth mentioning is the landscaping. The gardeners have meticulously trimmed and maintained all the flowers and trees. The plants are thriving and blooming, with no obvious signs of being haphazardly planted and replaced when they die. Especially those very old staghorn ferns – their blossoms smell wonderful, giving a full tropical vibe. The Koi pond's water quality is excellent, and the fish are healthy and lively!

The White Swan finally showed me the true meaning of 'feeling at home.' When checking out, the staff member bid me farewell with 'see you next time,' and I genuinely look forward to it.

Very close to Guangzhou Station, the hotel has been renovated and the facilities are new. Although the room isn't big, the layout is decent and everything you need is there. It's also convenient for dining nearby, making it a good value for business trips.

I really enjoyed my stay. I received a room upgrade at the check-in and a packed breakfast at the check-out as I had informed about my early leaving next morning. The room was well-equipped, at least for 1 night stay I didn’t have any complains, also it felt like someone really had considered ergonomics and design. 2 types of slippers, for slippery and dry floor, were just a cute act of special care!

This hotel has an old-school English charm, located right on Shamian Island. It's really well-maintained, so it doesn't feel run-down at all, and the location is super convenient. The only downsides are that the room was a bit small and the window was tiny and didn't let in much light. Also, just like other reviews mentioned, the shower water temperature was really inconsistent. On the plus side, parking was easy and the service was good.

It's state-owned and managed by the renowned White Swan Hotel Group, boasting a rich history, beautiful gardens, and a swimming pool, all at a very reasonable price. Perfect for both business and leisure travel. 👍

Every year, my parents, my kids, and I come to Guangzhou for shopping and dim sum. We used to stay at Marriott or Sheraton in the Tianhe Sports Center area, but their prices have been steadily increasing in recent years, and the surroundings are getting too crowded and noisy, leaving little space for my elderly parents to relax. After careful comparison, we chose Guangdong Guest House, and both my parents and children loved it.

First, the environment is fantastic. As an older hotel, it has the advantage of spacious grounds, perfect for swimming and leisurely strolls. Second, the entrance isn't congested, making it super easy to catch a taxi; all the drivers know the place, so my parents feel comfortable getting back on their own. Plus, the hotel isn't overly popular, which means the service is more attentive and personalized. Walking through the gardens, every step reveals a new beautiful scene, with precious photos and artifacts that really give you a unique taste of Guangzhou's charm. We'll definitely be staying at Guangdong Guest House again next time we visit! ❤️

The hotel environment is first-class. The front desk ladies, Xiao Cao and Xiao Qiu, were incredibly thoughtful. They helped us upgrade to a lake-view twin room (I was traveling with my mother this time, and had originally booked a mountain-view room). In the evening, we ordered the 'tangzhuo' fragrant pork set meal at the lakeside restaurant. The pork was very aromatic with no ***** smell, and had a great texture. The fish was also very fresh and delicious. While the breakfast selection was a bit limited, for just over 300 a day, including breakfast, the environment and service offer excellent value for money. If you go in the summer, swimming and soaking in the hot springs would be a lot of fun. The air quality here is fantastic, and transportation is convenient with plenty of parking. You can also take the subway and then a short taxi ride from the station.

This hotel in Guangzhou offers excellent value for money. Its location is fantastic, making it really convenient to get to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, and the Zhuhai Night Cruise Pier. The hotel staff are friendly, and the breakfast is plentiful. Plus, for those driving, there's free parking. It's also easy to get to local restaurants for a taste of the delicious food around.

I brought my mom here based on a travel blogger's recommendation. The blogger mentioned that the front desk helped with luggage upon arrival, but we didn't receive that service. The location is excellent; it's lovely to stroll along the river after dinner, and it's very convenient to get to the old town. We were given complimentary fruit. The cleanliness was just so-so, and some areas felt a bit dated. My main complaint is that the floors are thin, and the soundproofing from upstairs is poor. We unfortunately had children staying above us who were running barefoot at 11:30 PM, during naptime, and again at 6 AM. I reported it to the front desk staff, hoping they could speak to them, but instead of potentially offending the guests, they offered to move us to another room. I declined because I didn't want the hassle of packing and moving all our luggage. Unfortunately, the noise continued on the second night. This was quite bothersome to me.

The hotel is located in Songkou Ancient Town, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The location is excellent. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and even more picturesque on rainy days. 😍😍
The hotel is a renovated historic building, and some of the design elements (such as the windows) retain their nostalgic character. 🏠🏠 The rooms are bright, clean, and very comfortable.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, sharing detailed information about nearby attractions. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was pouring rain when we checked out, but the front desk staff not only reminded us to drive to the hotel's location, but also held an umbrella for us and helped us load our luggage into the car. Very thoughtful. 🥰🥰🥰

Hygiene: Spotlessly clean.

Facilities: The smart home features were a bit finicky. At night, the toilet would often auto-flush and open its lid even when no one was around. The lights also had a sound sensor, turning on with any noise when I was trying to sleep. Furthermore, the shampoo and shower gel bottles were constantly knocked off by the shower hose and were difficult to dispense. These are areas that definitely need improvement.

Facilities (positive aspects): On the positive side, the bathtub was excellent, complete with disposable bath liners and bath salts. Disposable toilet seat covers and other small amenities showed great attention to detail.

Environment (positive aspects): It was also lovely to enjoy a drink and moonlight on the rooftop in the evening. Both the room and balcony were very spacious, as was the bathroom. The toilet was pristine, with no odd stains, which speaks volumes about their hygiene standards.

Environment (location): The hotel's location within a pedestrian street was perfect for shopping and sightseeing. However, parking outside the hotel proved to be a major inconvenience.

Service (overall impression): I specifically chose this hotel because of the White Swan brand, and overall, I had a very positive experience. 👍

The room was very spacious with a great ambiance and good soundproofing, so we weren't disturbed during our rest. The service was also very attentive, and we even received small gifts like a fridge magnet and a keychain upon check-in – really thoughtful! 

**Facilities:** Besides being well-equipped, the underground parking garage has charging stations, there are USB ports on both sides of the bed, and the shower room, with its wet-dry separation, even has hooks for hanging clothes. So many thoughtful details! Definitely worth commending and recommending!

**Hygiene:** The entire room was very neat and clean.

**Service:** Extremely thoughtful. From check-in to check-out, everything was attentive. They even specially changed our room because of road construction outside.
