Five-star review

The Green Lake Hotel in Kunming boasts an excellent location, right next to Green Lake Park, making sightseeing and travel incredibly convenient. The hotel's ambiance is elegant and grand, exuding the charm of a classic five-star establishment. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding ensuring a restful sleep. The staff provides attentive and meticulous service; the welcome fruit and turn-down treats add a lovely touch of ceremony. The breakfast offers a rich variety, including authentic Yunnan flavors. Overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant.

This is a well-established five-star hotel with an excellent location. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is friendly. It offers good value for money and is always my top choice when I visit Kunming.

It's very convenient for food, accommodation, and getting around. It's just a short walk to Kunming Oriental Plaza, Spring City 66 (the twin towers), Nanqiang Street, Nanping Street, Kunming Old Street, and Shuncheng Shopping Center. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and I highly recommend their flower cakes and 'Crossing the Bridge' noodles – they're delicious! 👍

The room exceeded my expectations – it was much better than I thought it would be, and super close to the E exit of the subway station. But honestly, the service was the real highlight. We were disappointed to learn that the Sleeping Beauty bus route had changed to the wildlife park in July, but after hearing our regret, they actually called us back to offer a special ride just for us to Dianchi Lake. I was incredibly touched by their kindness and highly recommend them for their thoughtfulness. They even provided a full set of children's amenities, which was fantastic. Definitely a great hotel for families!

The hotel is not far from West Lake and very close to Zhongshan Road and Hefang Street. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety, and the restaurant is spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. The best part was the breakfast restaurant staff – so enthusiastic and energetic! They proactively helped us find a seat and clear dishes, and even offered to get us the special wontons, which were absolutely delicious. They also refilled our coffee. The coffee was exceptionally fragrant and rich. I highly recommend both the coffee and the small wontons – a perfect experience!

I brought my parents to Hangzhou for a trip this time, and I specifically chose this highly-rated hotel. Turns out, my whole family was very satisfied. The hotel lobby is grand, and as soon as my parents walked in, they said I made a great choice. On the guest room floors, there's a lounge area every two floors, which is very convenient for sitting, enjoying the view, and chatting. The front desk staff were especially warm and welcoming; they proactively helped us arrange a quiet room when they saw we had elderly guests and patiently explained the hotel's facilities. The bellhop helped us carry our luggage all the way to our room, and my parents kept praising the excellent service. The room was spotlessly clean, which made my parents feel very comfortable. It's also close to the subway station, so we didn't have to walk too far when going out, which was great for my parents. I truly recommend this place!

The service was great! They gave us complimentary fruit, a map, and a fan, and even some snacks when we checked out. The breakfast selection was also extensive, which was a plus.

However, the room itself was a bit disappointing. Our family room was on the 6th floor, and it made us feel quite uncomfortable. The view outside was indescribable (and not in a good way), and the window was small. If we had known this, we definitely wouldn't have booked the family room; two separate single rooms would have been a much better option.
