Guest UserSheyi Tea Culture hotel was an amazing stay, definitely a must stay if visiting Hohhot!
Food & Drink đ«
This hotel is also a tea house and it is a tea drinkerâs dream! First the room a booked came with my own tea brewing equipment and a tea brewing table with an excellent view and comfortable seats! But that is just the beginning, as you head down to the main floor a fully stocked, beautiful tea house & cafe awaits you. Daily tea and even delicious milk tea is always available. Private table sets and outdoor seating is available too. The tea masters are skilled and attentive, which made all my tea drinking experiences fun and enjoyable! You can also purchase various tea and tea ware right in the tea house.
Location đ
This hotel is perfectly located close to the near by Ancient Street, with many close by temples and shrines to visit. A craft street is close by and available all day, while a famous local food street opens up for colourful night time snacking in the evening. Many close by restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, I recommend reading the hotelâs recommendations as they were always great. If you need even more tea experience, there is a nearby tea wholesale market and many high end tea house in the area as well.
The Room đ
The room I stayed in had lots of space, was very clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable. Daily bathroom necessities are provided. High quality bedding, robes and slippers are waiting for you. High end bathroom equipment is installed, with hot water always available. Premium television is set up and Wifi connection always had high speeds. A beautiful kettle and tea set can be used to make tea with daily water and a welcome tea package provided.
Staff đ©âïž
The staff were very king and helpful right from check in. Actually even before check in they were helping bring my luggage inside! They were patient with communication as I was a foreign visitor. They answered any and all questions I had. They recommended great tea and amazing restaurants! The staff were always available and always smiling! Such great people really made my stay a dream.
This was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in and I definitely would recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot! I will be back again for sure.

Guest UserOn a business trip to Hohhot, I chose this place mainly because of the convenient parking. The large courtyard has plenty of parking spaces, which is super friendly for drivers. The room is equipped with a Hansgrohe shower, providing a comfortable water flow and stable temperature. The smart assistant controls the lights and curtains quite responsively. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a restful sleep. The front desk service was attentive; they noticed I was on the phone during check-in and slowed down their speaking pace. The self-service laundry room is a highlight â the washing machines are clean, and you can dry your clothes immediately after washing, which is a lifesaver for managing clothes while traveling. The breakfast offers everything you need, and the milk tea and shao mai are just as good as those found outside.

YizievaGreat location, right next to Dashengkui Cultural and Creative Park, Shaomai Street, and Xiaozhao Primary School. It's really convenient for dining and leisurely strolls. It's only a ten-minute walk to Deshunyuan Shaomai Restaurant. The room is quite spacious, and the facilities are relatively new, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The front desk also offers complimentary snacks and drinks. Plus, there's a Yituanhuo convenience store downstairs.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is located in an old building in the city center. The 4th floor houses an educational training company, and the 3rd floor is under renovation. Unfortunately, the elevator is faulty and stops and opens on both the 3rd and 4th floors every time, and this cannot be canceled. I wanted to mention these shortcomings first to manage expectations. On the positive side, dining and transportation nearby are very convenient, the breakfast is good, and the front desk service deserves five stars. They even gave us complimentary breakfast and allowed us to check out late at 2 PM.

Elisa.sI chose this yurt because I wanted to try something a little different, and I never expected such a warm welcome. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel at home, and it was clear that they genuinely wanted me to have a great stay.
Even though we didn't speak the same language, it was never a problem with the help of a few translation apps and plenty of smiles, we were able to communicate and share some wonderful moments. I was even invited to enjoy a homemade traditional meal with the family, a simple yet heartfelt experience that will remain one of my favorite travel memories.
The yurt itself is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Spending the night in such a unique setting was an unforgettable experience. In the morning, I was treated to a delicious homemade breakfast, another thoughtful touch that made my stay even more enjoyable.
I even had the chance to try on a traditional outfit, take some photos, and enjoy a fun karaoke session during my stay.
If you're looking for a genuine local experience rather than a standard hotel stay, I highly recommend this place. It offers a rare opportunity to experience true hospitality, and it's a memory I'll cherish for a long time.
I couldn't be happier with my stay. If I have the chance to visit China again, I will definitely come back here without a second thought.

Guest UserCleanliness: Even though it's an older, established Chinese brand hotel, the cleanliness has always been exceptionally well-maintained. The room was full of thoughtful touches; as soon as I entered, I noticed the turndown service with milk đ„, which immediately made a great impression.
Service: The service was exceptionally gentle and friendly, truly making guests feel at home. When the security staff needed to move my car, they were also very polite and courteous, not making me feel uncomfortable at all.
This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. Next time I'm in Hohhot, I'll definitely stay here again!

I stayed at the Vienna Hotel during my recent trip to Hohhot, and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
The Good Stuff:
The staff here are greatâreally friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. The rooms themselves are actually quite nice; theyâre spacious, clean, and the building feels relatively modern and well-kept.
The neighborhood is very quiet, so I had no issues with noise at night. Itâs also super convenient if you need to be near the 2nd Affiliated Hospital. While there isn't much âactionâ right outside the door, if you walk about 5 or 10 minutes, there are plenty of small local restaurants where the food is really cheap and decent.
The Not-So-Good
The location is the biggest hurdle. Itâs pretty far from the city centerâyouâre looking at a 30-minute taxi ride just to get into the heart of town, and thereâs almost nothing to do or see in the immediate area.
The breakfast was the lowest point for me. It was almost uneatable, to be honest. Thereâs hardly any variety, and they serve the exact same few things every single day. Iâd recommend skipping the hotel food and just hitting those local spots nearby instead.
Overall: 7/10
If you have business at the hospital or just want a clean, quiet place to crash and don't mind the commute, itâs a decent choice. But if youâre a tourist wanting to be near the sights or youâre someone who lives for a good hotel breakfast, youâll probably want to look elsewhere.

Guest UserThe hotel boasts high-end decor and excellent cleanliness, with a superb location right by the racecourse. It feels grand and impressive.
However, my stay wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. First, my room was quite a trek from the lobby, easily 50-60 meters away. Second, the pillows were all incredibly high; all four provided were the same, offering no softer alternative, which led to a restless night. Third, the toilet wasn't smart, and the toilet paper holder was awkwardly placed behind it, feeling a bit outdated. Fourth, the staff seemed accustomed to serving VIPs; for regular guests like us, they were rather cold and unresponsive. They'd only answer direct questions, and when I asked about breakfast, they didn't volunteer information about the hours or where it was served, which almost caused me to miss it. Most hotels serve until 10 AM, but here it's 9:30 AM.

The hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
