We have now been to the castle restaurant a few times at longer intervals, also with larger company, for a celebration and privately in a small group. So far I've been reluctant to give a negative review, even though there was always a reason. When I made the reservation on the phone (hotel reception), I was pretty speechless this time when the lady I didn't know gave me a totally inappropriate "Hi!" hurled at the phone. The small menu for the terrace is quite expensive for a "beer garden ambience" (I had the impression it was the menu from the restaurant?), and the attempt to bring the Mediterranean Sea into the Eifel, come hell or high water , has failed at the latest when it is not possible to distinguish between spaghetti and linguine in the restaurant. An Italian would return the plate immediately. At my kind suggestion, our table waitress was neither sorry nor suggested anything. When the subject came up again with the bill, she only said succinctly that the chef had been informed (but didn't show up). Unfortunately, instead of "roasted tomatoes" there was only one cherry tomato in the pesto arrangement and lots of noodles on the plate. Two people at the table, on the other hand, were not satisfied with the large salad plates, despite the starter - I won't forget the comment: "Here you go looking for the salad - there are more croutons in it than salad." The fish was ok. There was too much garlic somewhere - like a previous time. Ordering drinks was an art, the lady didn't come. That was different in 2018. It's really a pity, because the ambience is unbeatably beautiful, even if there were better toilet solutions (size, number). The points listed can all be improved relatively easily.

Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal in jedem Bereich des Hotels. Sehr ruhige Lage, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Essen auf der Terrasse wie im Restaurant sehr gut. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Völlig professionell geführtes Haus in dem es noch persönlich zugeht und man sich auf die Kunden einstellt. Meine Feier war ein Traum! Die Gäste wurden alle in einem Haus untergebracht und darauf geachtet, WER Treppen steigen kann und wer einen flachen Zugang benötigt. Sechs Zimmer wurden reserviert und die Kommunikation vor der Buchung war entspannt, souverän und sehr informativ.
