Son Matias Beach - Adults Only

Lovely hotel very clean and great view of beach from balcony. All the staff are so friendly especially Julie who does the entertainment,quiz, bingo etc. the night entertainment was excellent every night. The evening meal is from 6pm to 8.30pm and people were queuing at 6pm, I personally thought there was not a lot of choice and if you didn’t go in early they ran out of items and had to replace with something different, than what was on the menu, also at 8.30 it was all cleared away, so if you like eating a bit later this is not for you. The pool is not heated and very small, I only saw one person have a swim in the whole week I was there.

This is a lovely little hotel. The staff cannot do enough for you. There was a large variety of food, even for vegetarians. It was absolutely spotless and we cannot fault it in any way. Right on the beach with excellent views. Lovely poolside bar. Keith had really good knowledge of the area. Cannot wait to go back.

Just returned from 1 week at Son Matias - great hotel & central location right next to beach. We had twin room which was comfortable - cleaned daily - kettle & cups in room was great with complimentary tea/coffee on arrival. We stayed on b/b basis - breakfast was great plenty of choice & 1st time in Spain we've had a decent sausage for breakfast although the young chef serving the omelettes was a bit dour not very sociable however rest of staff were pleasant & always eager to assist. Entertainment every night mainly aimed at the older age group who tend to visit this hotel - who sat around like manikins clearly don't know how to enjoy themselves. My partner had his birthday during our stay & complimentary bottle of fizz & birthday card was sent to room which was a lovely gesture 😊 Pool doesn't open till 9.30am & the oldies sitting waiting with their towels ready to run like grand national but no need as plenty of beds however pool area can get very hot 🥵 we went to beach a few times - lovely breeze but only downside was the €6.50 each bed & €6.50 for umbrella so nearly €20 a day. Majorca has also introduced tourist tax nearly €50 for 2 for 7 day stay. Plenty of lovely bars & resturants around & short 15 min walk into Magaluf - the hotel was great & we throughly enjoyed our week's stay would definitely recommend 👍

Fabulous hotel, staff so nice and helpful... Sea views are amazing from every room in hotel. Catered so well for 2 friends with coeliac. Pool bar and food good for a snack and bars and restsurants nearby are fab. Sun on balcony in the morning and so great to chill with a coffee. Kettle in each room and mini fridge with coffee, sugar and tea sachets provided and small cartons of milk. Many are returnees to hotel and I can see why. Had a great relaxing holiday in a lovely spot in Palma Nova and will deffo return.

Great hotel right on the beach. Very clean and modern rooms. Spacious with excellent maid service. Booked half board. Not a huge selection of food but certainly enough to choose from which was delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pool area spacious and clean. No mad rush for beds which was good. One thing I would suggest is that water at dinner should be free. Also, tea/coffee after dinner should be free. Will definitely return to this hotel and the resort itself which is fab.

Overall the stay was made more enjoyable by the friendly and welcoming staff. Everybody from the cleaners .waiters and waitresses to the bar staff and entertainments officer Julie were brilliant. The front desk /reception were obliging and always wiling to assist with a friendly smile.

Quite simply,total perfection! Spacious modern rooms, spotlessly clean,with amazing sea views Excellent quality food, plenty of choices,both at breakfast and dinner,very friendly staff throughout the hotel .Can,t wait to return

This hotel continues to be one of the best we have stayed in. Excellent friendly and super efficient staff. Great buffet choice for breakfast and evening meals, always many choices with show cooking as well. Comfortable rooms and everywhere very clean. Many couples come here twice a year for three weeks or more at a time. That tells you everything.

Lovely hotel. Reasonably central to everything. Sea view. Very clean , staff lovely. A welcome pack of toiletries and bottled water left in room Comfortable bed. Walk in shower. Balcony with lovely sea view. However, the safe in the room did incur a charge of 5 euros a night which I felt was very expensive. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of food and well cooked. Good entertainment in the hotel. Tribute acts etc, Bingo Quizzes etc. Free WiFi in hotel. The pool area is lovely with a small bar there that serves drinks and snacks. Hotel not happy about parking a bike outside the hotel so if looking for a cycling holiday it might be worth checking about where to store your bike. Our stay in The Son Matias Beach Hotel was excellent. Couldn’t fault the hotel and staff. A short walk to Magaluf if it’s a place you would like to visit. Would definitely return to this hotel.
