Hotel Casa di Meglio

This was a small hotel geared for an older crowd. The property was a bit far from port and it was surrounded by homes. People's homes looked into the pool at hotel. They did have on site dinning which was nice since other eateries were far (a minimum of 15 minute walk). The rooms and hotel was very clean and staff was nice. The rooftop was pleasant.

This place is for savvy travelers. It could easily be a 4 or 5 star hotel. Amazingly clean! It’s location is great if you like to walk for 10 to 15 minutes. Restaurants and coffee shops all over. I was discouraged when I saw the taxi driving away from the port without knowing that Ischia has this beautiful area called Casamicciola. A ten minutes walk down the hill will take you to the bus stop if you want to go to the port (also ten minutes away). The restaurant has authentic Italian with prompt and friendly service. Entertainment on the terrace starts at 10pm with a beautiful view of the lights on the nearby hills and the sea. I was very impressed with this hotel!!

There were carpet beetles (saw a few of them there) in the room and unfortunately we did not realise it was them until we found them from our luggage and from our home later. I truly hope you take care of this issue so that other travellers do not have to go through the same as we did. We had to throw away some of our stuff, and it was a huge task to get rid of them.

This was a perfect property. It was our first time in Ischia and unsure of where to book. The property is well cared for and the hosts were lovely. We opted for breakfast only because we wanted to explore what the island had to offer but food options looked good. The pool is a warm thermal pool and very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the time of year everything is blooming. Not sure why people would give this place anything else than a 10. If I return to Ischia I would definitely stay here again. The pictures online do not do it justice. Did I mention it was very reasonably priced for what you get?

Fantastic hotel and lovely owners

It was our 1st visit to Ischia island - recommended by our family friend, we are so glad we visited it! So very happy with service, staff and facility overall ! We had double room with semi-private terrace with beautiful sea view! Swimming pool with natural hot spring mineral water was fantastic! The hotel looks like upscale mini resort , love decor and beautiful garden , fresh flowers in many pots and around the property take your breath away! The restarant food, service and staff were outstanding! We will definately come back!

Really good

Everything about this hotel is excellent! Why it was ever deemed only 3-star is beyond me! In my opinion four star would still be too low! From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was so kind and thoughtful! The room was well laid out, and provided with A/C, which was a godsend during the very warm nights of our holiday! The fridge allowed us to keep a supply of water and soft drinks cold, and instantly available. There are 2 swimming pools heated by thermal springs, one outdoor and one in an indoor spa area, but because of the pandemic only the two pools were accessible! We stayed on a half-board basis, which was exceptional value, and the food was really first class, Michelin star quality. Until day 12 of our two week holiday we were the only Brits in the hotel, and from our trips around, we might have been the only Brits on the island! Brits take note: this island, and this hotel in particular should be on everyone’s bucket list! We’ll certainly be returning in the near future, given good luck and a following wind!!! Wonderful place. Great value, especially considering the excellent facilities, including an outdoor heated pool that was the perfect temperature, and indoor geothermal hot pool that was actually hot. Nice outdoor seating areas with an orange cat to cuddle. Very peaceful and quiet setting. I hope to come again.
