I absolutely love this little hotel. Small and cozy, very functional place at a quiet alley in Chaozhou Ancient Town. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet day time and night time. Every corner is nicely decorated, a lot of thoughts have been put into furnishing the place. You can find items you need on the hole board shelf in the common area E.g. tripod, reading glasses, sanitary pads, insect repallent, plasters, cotton buds etc etc. I got my supply for latter 2 from the board as I got a bad blister from all the walking. I wish my house was beautiful/functional like this. Owner gave good recommendations for places to dine, helped to carry my luggages up/down the stairs. Highly recommend.

Very good location in the old town. Very helpful staff. There is disposable towel which is not great but the place is great otherwise.

The room was beautifully decorated. It had a washing machine and tea-making facilities. Its prime location, close to both dining spots and attractions, meant we saved significantly on taxi fares. It was also incredibly convenient for families with young children.

This guesthouse was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The host was incredibly kind; they provided disposable toiletries, helped us with our luggage, and even assisted us in picking up takeout late at night. We're truly grateful for their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Its location is fantastic – the ancient town is literally on your doorstep, making it super convenient for exploring and dining, as there are so many food choices. Despite being in a lively area, it's remarkably quiet at night, providing a perfect peaceful haven.

Nestled deep in a quiet alley, adjacent to a police station, which provided a great sense of security. The guesthouse isn't large but is spotlessly clean. A fan continuously runs in the entrance hall, keeping it pleasantly cool. My cozy room, aptly named 'Tingyu Xuan' (Listening to Rain Chamber), featured an inner courtyard with a tea-drinking area – perfect for listening to the rain. On the desk, a guestbook offered poignant stories of joy and sorrow, truly a delightful discovery! By the bed, a photo album titled 'Old Images of Chaozhou' provided inspiration to explore. You could follow its historical cues to visit Tianning Temple, witness the unique 'bridge dismantling' of Guangji Bridge, or ascend to Han Gong Ancestral Temple on the opposite bank to learn about Han Yu's profound influence on the local culture. For those who appreciate quiet, ancient charm, Jiadi Lane is a must-stroll. And of course, don't miss the culinary delights of Chaozhou Ancient City! The host thoughtfully provided recommendations for various meals and snacks – make sure to sample as many as you can if you have time. A highly appreciated feature was the washing machine available on-site. Plus, there was a convenient spot near the in-room air conditioning unit to dry clothes – a true lifesaver for summer visits to Chaozhou, allowing you to wash and wear fresh outfits daily. I returned home refreshed and look forward to visiting again soon!

Our flight was delayed, and he patiently waited up for us until 2 AM. What's more, even though it was pouring rain, he still came out to the street corner to pick us up. The guesthouse is perfectly situated within the old city. It's a beautifully renovated property tucked away in an alley, and for our first stay, the owner even came out to pick us up, which was a really nice touch. The interior decor was exactly my style, and we particularly loved that we booked the entire building, giving us all the space to ourselves – such a fantastic feeling! Disposable bath towels are provided (great for hygiene!), there's a washing machine, and the bedding was super comfortable. Ordering food delivery was also incredibly convenient. What truly impressed me was the sheer variety and excellent care of the plants throughout the property – it's clear a lot of effort goes into their upkeep. The entire guesthouse has a Japanese-inspired aesthetic, simple yet incredibly cozy. The common area is filled with books, perfect for a quiet read in the living room. A special highlight was the pegboard where all shared utensils and items are conveniently available for guests to take as needed. This thoughtful approach eliminates the need to equip every room, making it both eco-friendly and welcoming, just like being at home. We booked a one-bedroom unit on the second floor (there's no elevator). The living room featured a tatami sunroom, a perfect spot for reading. The lamp at night cast a soft, gentle glow, and with the evening breeze rustling the curtains, it created a truly tranquil and picturesque ambiance. The bedding was cotton linen, spotlessly clean and smelling of sunshine. The bathroom, though compact, was perfectly functional. It's evident the owner puts a lot of heart into running this place. The location is also excellent – not far from Paifang Street and Ximalu, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling area. The owner is understated and gracious, a person who seems to have many interesting stories to tell. We stayed for two nights; the evenings were very quiet, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. The sunroom even had windows that could be opened for ventilation. A truly wonderful guesthouse!

A fantastic family-run guesthouse with a superb location right in the heart of the old town. Because we had contacted them in advance, the air conditioning and dehumidifier were already running in our room when we checked in. Unlike the humid heat outside, the air inside the guesthouse was dry and fresh, with a faint aroma of essential oils. Our ground-floor room was a little dim, but the atrium was bright, filled with sunlight and lush greenery. Unlike those trendy 'influencer' hotels, this guesthouse boasted a wonderful ambiance and a genuine, lived-in charm.
