Sunset Beach Hotel

The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It's super close to the beach, right next to Kitatani Park, and you can see the ocean from the balcony. It was really convenient to come back and rinse off after a swim. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the in-room amenities were complete. The only downside is that it was a bit dark; a brighter overhead light would have been nice. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

I think this is the best location you could ask for. We had a room on the first floor with direct access to the beach. The American Village is just a minute's walk away. The room might not be the newest, but for me, the location is the priority. There's a special vibe to just throw on a swimsuit and walk barefoot to the beach.)))

The room's cleanliness was appalling, especially when contrasted with Japan's general emphasis on hygiene. The air conditioner was moldy, the vents were almost completely blocked with dust buildup, there were dirty spots all over the walls, and accumulated grime that clearly hadn't been cleaned in ages. As for service, there barely was any. During my 4-night stay, the room was only tidied once, and even that was a very cursory job. Every day, I had to go to the front desk myself to get fresh towels and water. The hotel's location is decent, which is its only redeeming quality. It's right on the beach, but unless you absolutely need to be steps away from the sand, it's not worth it. There are many other hotels nearby with better value for money and a superior environment. Considering the price changes based on the number of guests, and paying 2000 a night for this experience, I definitely won't be booking here again.

Facilities: The hotel offers coin-operated washing machines (300 JPY per wash), but thankfully, the dryer is free. Perhaps due to its seaside location, the hotel corridors and room corridors are just bare concrete, with no decoration. Cleanliness: The room has a wet/dry separation, and the shower area is great – spacious with a unique showerhead. Environment: It's very close to the sea, so you can go for a swim anytime. It's also near American Village, making it convenient for both dining and beach activities. Service: At check-in, the front desk informed us that housekeeping is only provided for guests staying 3 nights or more consecutively. They also don't change trash bags during your stay unless you specifically ask for them. For example, I had to ask the front desk for three bottles of mineral water on my second day. Overall, the service wasn't overly enthusiastic, but it wasn't bad either. Summary: The price isn't particularly cheap, but I was quite satisfied with the three beds, which were large enough for us with kids, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, the room lighting is a bit dim at night. Four stars for the sea view.

The room was very spacious and clean. The toilet and shower areas were separate, with the shower and bathtub areas further divided. The balcony offered stunning sea views, especially on a clear day when the ocean looked like a 'jelly sea'. The hotel's toiletries were also excellent. Oh, and there's free coffee in the morning, which you brew yourself.
