I normally stay in the CBD and have never thought to stay this side of town. But I'm not tempted to only stay over here. I loved this hotel. Everything about it was fantastic. Check in and out was easy. The room was clean, large, comfortable. Amazing water views. TV channel selection was brilliant. Comfortable bed - unusually so for a hotel, comfortable pillows. Room service food was good, bar food and drinks were good and really nice atmosphere. Improvements - took forever to get a cab to the airport, not the hotels fault; some of the customers at the bar were rude and I felt sorry for the staff (and other patrons); room service -ordered a burger and fries, they didn't explain the burger came with fries (not mentioned on the menu) so gave me both serves, but a hefty charge. I will definitely be back.
I'll start with the very few cons about this motel and finish with the substantial pros: Cons: This motel looks a bit shabby on the outside, and the furnishings in my room were old particleboard and showed signs of swelling at the edges presumably from Sydney's high humidity. The TV wasn't a smart TV. There was no in-room safe that I could see. Pros: The charge for the room was very reasonable, especially for Australia Day weekend. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels clean and changed daily. The room was clean and the bathroom spotless. The included breakfast is (two servings of each if a couple has booked the room): A variety of Kellogg cereal packets (I'm sure you could probably request specific types if you want), milk, two slices of white bread, butter and jam. My room had a toaster, microwave, kettle, kitchen sink and dishes, glasses and cutlery. The air conditioning was excellent and modern. My room (ground floor at the back of the parking lot) was remarkably quiet given the motel's location on a main road. The motel also held my bags cheerfully in their office after we had checked out so we could tour around before our flight. There are a limited number of free parking spots for guests (not reserved). The motel is centrally located, five minute walk from shops including a Coles and Aldi, Pharmacy and Edgecliff Metro Station. It's a two minute walk to a bus stop towards Watson's Bay or to the CBD in the other direction. Bottom line: The staff here were very attentive, far beyond the looks of this motel. This is a good value option for people who want to stay along the Bondi line but would prefer not to be at Kings Cross. It was actually cheaper than private rooms in many hostels around town. They do cut corners to keep the price low (old furniture) but it's a good tradeoff. I would definitely stay again. Pro tip: Try to secure a room facing the back of the building to avoid traffic noise.
Very Good

Very clean room with a big kingsize bed for me one tourist to sleep on is such a comfort in Sydney.
Love the tv and tv programs especially project on Channel 10.
The french lady in the office is helpful and will assist you in everything and the cleaners are also friendly to talk to.
Overall i like the place and is 10 mins to Kingscross station and just 15 mins walk to Royal Botanic Garden

Encreadibly small room. Insanely overpriced. Very shabby, in this case 'historic ' means ' desperately needs renovation'. The bathroom is the size of the pencil case, have to get out of it into the room to be able to open the shower door. The outside area is dirty, surrounded by the concrete walls and overgrown bushes. The place was riddled with mosquitoes, ants and flies. The worst of all that you can't trust them with your credit card. They charged us $25 dollars for water AND cleaning? No invoice or email or any communications at all ! Just took it off our card. And then made TWO MORE WITHDRAWALS without notification. Sent us an invoice post-factum after being confronted over the phone. The tone of email was very rude, no formal address or apologies or explanations or itemised cleaning services we are being charged for. RUDE, DECEITFUL, DIRTY NOT WORTHY OF ANOTHER CHANCE. BE AWARE!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Mrs Banks Hotel in Sydney. Perfectly situated in Paddington with great shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance.
The rooms were not large but stylishly decorated, comfortable and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. So happy we found this
little gem!
We stayed here in early January and chose it based on its value for money and proximity to the Sydney Cricket Ground (as we went to the cricket). It was a nice walk from our hotel to the SCG, and the hotel itself was lovely - friendly staff, clean room and yummy breakfast on offer. I'd highly recommend for those on a budget as this hotel has everything you need. We didn't check out the busy Greek restaurant adjacent, that's for another trip!
Welcome to Palm View Collective's exceptional offering in the iconic Grandview building, a 1930s Art Deco gem nestled in the heart of Elizabeth Bay, one of Inner Sydney's most coveted neighbourhoods.
Experience unparalleled city living with breathtaking views directly at the waterfront. For a truly unique arrival, opt for a water taxi and let our concierge service cater to your every need. Enjoy an oasis of tranquillity and privacy, all while being at the heart of Sydney.
The facilities are nothing like the pictures. I am short and you cannot sit on a toilet seat unless you are sideways. The residence was extremely noisy. I was woken by Jack Hammers at 12.30am on night one. I was then transferred the following morning to a back room that during a slightly rain night created a large dripping noise from a tin vent outside the residence. I would for the price take up accommodation elsewhere. The administration of booking a residence for multiple nights was difficult as we had to sign paperwork to get another room card. The car parking indicated that we would get $40 off for the voucher when we only received $15.
For us Potts point is the coolest, Neighbourhood/village in sydney, this apartment block that is partly hotel, with its art deco charm, is a fantastic representation of the area, it is located in a quiet part considering it border with the cross/*****, we stayed in one of the un-renovated studios, however it had a quirky 70's charm, the studio is huge, with plenty of room, with a workable kitchen and dining table, the bed was a king with a extra single doubling as a sofa, all in all a lovely apartment. The reception staff, (jade), was helpful and very friendly, accomodating my elderly mother, she had a wonderful week stay and cant wait to come back, stay with these guys.
