"We went on a short break, staff were great. The room itself was fine though there was a broken light switch which we reported to reception. This was still to be changed when we left on the Monday(reported Saturday am). Bar prices were typical for a hotel and entertainment finished at 9pm on the Saturday as the singer was going to another hotel. That said we would go back again."
"Went with classmates, very nice (* ๓´╰╯`๓) ♡, service was good. Friendship reminds girls to wash their hair, please bring your own hair dryer. It is really comfortable to go on a sunny day and the price is fair. The parking lot is also large. Family vacations are also perfect for enjoying a great holiday."
"It's a little far from Blavkpool North Station in the center of town, but it's close by bus or train. The Blackpool Grand Hotel is a very large hotel and very easy to find, so I thought it was a safe hotel for beginners. The front desk staff are always on standby, so I thought it was a very safe hotel."
"Hotel was good but trip messed up our booking. We'd booked for 2 adults and 1 child, but trip told hotel only 2 adults so had to wait for bed to be made up in room"
"It certainly is a fabulous building but jaded splendour springs to mind. The window in our room was in very poor condition and a gap to outside of 4 inches long and 1 inch wide during storm Lillian this was an issue. Apparently some rooms are fitted with UPVC
I reported this to duty manager Louis, I asked for another quilt, we had to ask again at bed time. We were compensated with an evening meal which was good standard.
Bathroom door had swollen so it took two people to open.
But bed was very comfortable and the room and linen very clean. Breakfast buffet was very nice with hot plates and good selection.
The hotel is conveniently situated and very large. Would stay again and ask for a refurbished room"
"It's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator.
The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi.
There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night."

Perfect
JJamesHallGreat friendly couple running this hotel, booked during a period where a lot of hotels were booked up, usually I go to travlelodges/premierinns/holidayinns but this for the price this was way better and more personable. Granted it is a long old running Hotel, the reviews I see of this place are correct! Nice hot showers, hot chocolate and water bottles were an amazing bonus, just a continental breakfast which was free and all I personally needed to start my day. Right next to a convenience store for those quick forgotten items and even a bar if you wish to have a drink or hang out at the hotel. One thing I'll mention is stairs, might be difficult for anyone with a walking disability. Even the extra little services they offer are nice, like leaving your bags at the reception if your return journey is after check out if you plan to spend the day in Blackpool is a nice touch.
AAlgoithmFirstly, the sign on the door says, ”Tudor Rose Original” - in case anyone was wondering.
There's not many places which are on the promenade for a family of 4 for <£40. We stayed in the quad room, which had a double and 2 singles, perfect for the 4 of us. It's a very short walk to the beach, South Pier, Water Land, Pleasure Beach and there's a Whetherspoons around the corner. The tram stop is also close by (South Pier).
The welcome we got was nice. Sarah and Robert were nice. We needed toilet roll, milk and mugs for the room which were quickly stocked. The curtain rail fell down immediately on entering the room, and it was taken care of quickly. They have free pool and fussball in the living room and we're playing energetic music which I liked. The bar is empty, but Sarah told us that bringing in alcohol was not a problem. Very nice welcoming people.
The room was fine. Theres always 3 things that I look for in a room:
1) Comfy bed
2) Cleanliness
3) Hot water and working shower
1) Beds were fine actually. I thought the mattresses were a bit ”springy” - as in I could feel the springs. But we all slept on them fine.
2) Room wasn't as clean as I would have liked. The carpet needs changing, and we found some rubbish (sweet wrappers) behind one of the chairs in the room that wasn't ours. Also the curtains looked a little suspect (?mould on them). Blinds would be a nice replacement.
3) The shower was awful unfortunately and what really let this stay down. The hot water wasnt the problem, but the shower shot out first boiling hot water, then when the cold water eventually caught up, the pressure dropped significantly and so I could only have a warm dribble shower. This may need addressing. It could be because we were on the third floor, but it was still slightly disappointing. We were given towels for the room too. The light above the mirror in the bathroom didn't work either.
All in all, for a last minute booking, it was a cheap and cheerful stay.

GGordonWe were dissappointed in the car parking situation. It wasn't exactly made clear that you need to drive into where it was marked exit and press for them to lift the barrier. Then unfortunately there was no room so had to call into reception to find out where we could park it was a bit stressful and could have been avoided. The hotel itself is very secure as you need to press for access to the entrance. Once up to reception on the first floor we were welcomed and allocated a room. The room was very tired with marked and scratched walls and ceiling. The bathroom had all the ususl facilities but a great big crack was in the tiles on the floor about two and half feet long. The shower head was dirty and the bottom of the main door was peeling away. The bed was two single mattresses put together which were obviously well used and meant there was a bump in between which wasnt very comfy. The bar was expensive for drinks and the staff seemed to multitask serving and cleaning tables etc. Some of the same staff were at breakfast and it just felt a bit overall short staffed. The breakfast itself was adequate but basic. We did notify reception on checking out of our findings as we are not usually ones to complain but the issues do make a difference and some just general maintenance.

GGuest UserHotel was clean, people were friendly, not to far from tower etc
pictures made hotel room look bigger than it is, it's very small. I paid for bed and breakfast, if I knew what breakfast would be like I would have skipped it.
U get small chopped tomatoes from tin which aren't even hot, would have prefers a real tomato. You get a small bowl of beans which is about a table spoon worth. The fried bread isn't even 1 slice or half a slice it's quarter slice . And 1 hash brown. Toast was cold aswell. Small glass of orange juice and coffee. Out of all that I drank orange and coffee and 1 slice of toast , couldn't eat rest. Others may find it ok but wasn't for me
Tv wasn't working and could only connect to WiFi in reception area.
Staff were lovely though .

GGuest UserThe hotel was fine and near some of the tourist amusement area. However, making me change hotel on my last night of stay for some reasons wasn't pleasant to me.

SSharonsolutely amazing hotel ...staff are so friendly nothing was too much for them if there's anything you need they will cater for it if possible ...the Foods amazing ... the bar is well priced the swimming pool and sauna is cheap perfect for families and couples ..
Definitely will be going again
3rd time I've stayed here it's amazing
GGuest UserWas a nice place but the staff could do with some training at the main desk, not everyone had stayed there before so it would be nice to be told where the lift to the room was and where the dining hall and entertainment rooms where too. The dining hall is on the 1st floor by the way. 😃
GGuest UserClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. £50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at £10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didn’t park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasn’t as bad as some reviews.
