Conveniently located for our purposes, the apartment was clean and well appointed. Easy access, secure parking, all amenities including laundry and kitchen items provided. Secure garage parking was a plus, but very tight to get into with anything more than a small vehicle. Strict rules on numbers, noise and parties, but for us this was a plus as it meant a quiet and restful stay.

Awesome price for what you get. The manager there is absolutely great. Only downside is it’s small drive away from Newcastle but that’s offset by the great price.

If I could give a rating of zero I would! I've stayed in budget accommodation before but this was more like a dirty jail cell. Dirty hallways, the floor in our room felt like it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped for weeks. Tiny moulded plastic shower room that looked like it had been ripped straight out of an old caravan (you couldn't even call it a bathroom!) with a toilet and shower with no shower curtain so water went everywhere as soon as the shower was turned on! The sink to wash your hands was on the other side of the room. The pillows were yellow and brown under the pillowcases so we used our own beach towels as pillows. Our little boy had to sleep in our bed as there was a suspect looking brown stain on the sheets on the bunk above our bed. Oh and to top it off, there were no bath towels as they had 'ran out'! Needless to say we were up super early after our 1 night stay to get out of there. The poor girl on reception the night of our stay looked like she was ready to burst into tears after dealing with several irate holiday makers when I went to ask about the towel situation. Definitely won't be staying here again and will be telling others not to either.

good place great bed and neflix tv but a complete rip off in price there just 1 bedroom apartments and your charging 130 aud or so a night. so $1000 week your making from something that rents for 300 week in new castle. There is no service at all ! big restictions on tiny spa outside . this place would be perfect if the price was half , this place is terrible value for australia, pick another place. if you have 4 people then its good 2 people can sleep on sofa which works but $130 for self check in cabin is pushing it even if they are good and clean.

This apartment is cheap, the sanitary conditions are very good, there are two balconies, the most important thing is to make your own cooking utensils complete, washing machine dryers and even washing clothes are prepared, the key is the geographical location is unique in the central area, the supermarket eats The slot machine arrived in a few minutes, and the friends were very happy. Although they had a little trouble before the check-in, they were arranged very quickly. I plan to go there for two days at the end of this month. Shortland Hotel is a great place to meet up with family and friends and suitable for all ages. They have something on every night from cheap food to raffles and special events. Reasonable price food and delicious. The staff were lovely and I'm lucky I can walk there from my house.

I was a little lost because of the different locations, but the facilities were great!
