The hotel is next to the river and in an ideal location to cross the nearby bridge into the centre on foot. We were checked in by a very nice lady, who explained about the hotel, the keys and arrangements over Christmas. Initially, we were impressed with the room, although it was on the hot side. Two double beds and lots of space, it was clean. An overhead fan above the beds, and a tower fan and an additional heater in the room. Hospitality tray in the room, and TV. Unfortunately, the bathroom lets the hotel down. The sink-area and toilet itself were clean. Unfortunately, the toiletbrush still had 'DNA' from previous guests clinging to the bristles. Why hotels do not invest in covered toiletbrushes, I will never understand. It was a shower over the bath, and the shower-side was dirty. The showerhead was covered in dirt, which is most likely the reason why the shower had intermittent bursts of very cold and tepid water. At best, the water was lukewarm. And yes, cleaning the showerhead may well resolve that issue, as we had that once ourselves. The shower was switched on by what initially looked like an old soap dispenser, which was dirty. There was a thick line of mould behind the dirty bath-taps. There were signs of mould along the ceiling and top of the walls. The grouting between the tiles was dirty and cracked. They do leave plenty of toiletries to use, though. Our breakfast was nice and freshly cooked. There was also a choice of cereals and other items available. I think on the second night they forgot to switch off the heating overnight, as the radiator was still hot at 10.30pm. I tried switching it off in the room, but it didn't work. We slept with the window open and the overhead fan on for part of the night. If they sort out the bathroom(s), we would stay again, but for now, we will choose to stay elsewhere in future.
An amazing building with historical connections. The bathroom was good, with deep bath and good mains water pressure. But the bedroom needed serious update. No mains lighting in the bedroom or hallway, just plug in side lights by the bed and a standard lamp on old fashioned round pin plug in hall. I had to use a torch to move round the bedroom. The lift wasn't working, although the membet of staff managed some manoeuvre to get it working which I couldn't replicate. Restaurant was ok but the standard of a reasonable pub, not fine dining. Menu was a bit odd - steak and chips, fish and chips style or ”venison pudding” which was a huge stodgy pastry with over cooked dry meat inside. Breakfast buffet was very nice, but too dark in that room also. Six jams and marmalades in open jars with no way of knowing what they were, and no little dishes to put them in to take to your seat. Service at breakfast had to be sought out, no one in site. Breakfast bacon was inedible - cooked previously then reheated.
Overall, it is a fascinating place but needs a big overall and review of what they are offering.

Nice looking pub with lovely river opposite Accommodation was round the back with separate door to enter which had a key code lock where a key to enter is stored in a box this was explained to us as the pub shuts early due to low season. We returned around 11:30pm put the code in and no key was in the box we then had to call an emergency number and somebody had to travel to us to let us in a bit inconvenient for both parties I’m just glad I wasn’t on my own as it’s in the middle of nowhere Rooms were fine bed clean etc but I think it should state very clearly that the rooms share a bathroom as I didn’t notice that and would not have booked knowing this , the apar**ent they have though is lovely and has ample room and it’s own bathroom. Beer was good Breakfast next morning was fine not worth though the £25 for 2 people as you get a cooked breakfast with tea or coffee that’s it it’s just brought to you no buffet option or juice cereal etc and some of it was a bit cold Staff were fine I would stay again as to be honest what we paid wasn’t a lot but I’d prefer to pay a bit more and have my own bathroom I’d also recommend just having a coded door not a key in a box as I gather this problem will happen often

In the small town of Broadway, I saw peace and peace, those antique buildings. The hotel is in that group of characteristic buildings, although it is an old building, but the decoration is very good, modern and ancient complement each other. The room was small and warm, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The hotel's breakfast has several choices, pure English flavor is quite satisfactory, the amount is delicious, but it is not recommended to choose Scottish smoked fish, too salty. The bar is lively at night and you can taste the local GIN wine. Go out from the parking lot and turn right to the end. There is a cafe. It is quite popular. You can drink coffee and eat a cake and chat with the locals.

The hotel is almost next to the bus station. The bus is convenient, the rooms are clean, the bathrooms are large, and they are cleaned every day. There is no elevator and it is troublesome to carry luggage up. The waiter is often absent, which is not good.
Please note that there are very few bus trips on the Cotswolds on Saturday. There is no bus on Sunday. The day I arrived there was no bus on Sunday. .
The so-called public transportation ticket can only be used for this route. If a loop is to be formed, you do not need to buy a pass. 801 is used more. I took 606 from Broadway to Chippenham, then changed to 501, and then changed to 505 to Bibury, so I can leave early, if I go to Morton Ingam and change trains then 10 am Only. When arriving at the place where you live, you must first find out the bus time point and plan the route, because their bus time is fixed and less.
In short, getting to where you live helps to save time by figuring out the bus route.
