Find the Cheap La Villa Hotels

First some context: I have been fortunate enough to be able to stay at some of the finest properties around the world so I compare La Majun to these properties(Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, The Savoy, Claridges, etc). I started to plan this vacation back in 2019 for a 2020 visi5. After much research, our family settled on La Majun. Natalie and Maura were always very responsive to my many emails. The trip was Covid delayed until this week. I base my ratings on 5 categories(scale of 1-5, 5 being the top): Cleanliness, accuracy of website, responsiveness of communication, dining experience and overall guest interaction: Cleanliness: 5 The rooms were cleaned everyday and nothing was ever missed. The spa was also incredibly clean (We tried everything - Sauna, steam room, pool, quiet room, and soaking tub). Towels were big and fluffy. Accuracy of website: 5 The pictures on the website were accurate depictions of the room and the views. Responsiveness of communication: 5 Obviously, I had a lot of questions over the last three years of planning. Every email was answered and every request was executed. At times, a few days would go by without a response but I knew eventually, a reply would be offered. This was mostly during their off season. Natalie and Maura did NOT miss ONE email. Dining experience: 5 We opted for the ”half board”. The food was well presented, of high quality and delicious. Several offerings for breakfast (try the make your own juicer)and dinner was always presented with a fish, meat and vegetarian offering. Service was top notch (thank you to Melina and Ale) Overall guest interaction: 500! Natalie and her Mom Roberta fully understand what it takes to make guests people feel welcome. I asked Natalie how she manages to train her staff and she told me that she tells every staff member the following: ”Treat each guest as if they were your closest friend coming for a visit in your own home.” EVERY member of the staff did just that! Each morning, we looked forward to seeing Melina and her warm ”good morning.” Each afternoon, Natalie always spoke to us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. A special call out to the other staff who made us feel so welcome: Sacha (bell person - who hugged me goodbye!) Barbara(bar tender - could not have been more pleasant) Ale (waitress-her smile greeted us everyday) Anna (front office - so helpful) Melina (our waitress - so personable and so welcoming) Roberta(Owner): Such a beautiful woman in her soul. And finally Natalie(Owner): Words cannot express how each member of our family feels about Natalie. We love her! She does a flawless job on execution and is genuinely warm in her approach. She is the model as to how every hotel should be run. It is my hope that this review encourages every reader considering a trip to this region to stop looking at reviews and to just book here. Finally, every member of the staff hugged us goodbye. That should tell you a lot!

Everything about the hotel was great . Great location. Friendly staff who were always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable and spacious room with great views. Breakfast was brilliant but the evening meal was always exceptional . Very knowledgeable and helpful waiting staff , Dritains wine advice was always very helpful and informative. I didn’t use the spa but heard very positive things from the rest of the party. The pools are great: I never thought I’d want to swim in a ski resort but the pools are so good I did most days..I have skied many of the resorts in the Alps but this is now my favourite ski area. The room we booked was nothing like what was advertised. The “view” that was described was actually a view of the parking lot and no view of the Dolomites. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful and moved our room, but it appeared they were only able to because the hotel was empty. There was a thermostat in the room but absolutely no cold air coming in so we had to open the door that was connected to another hotel members balcony, plus allowed horrendous busy street noise into the room. The hotel being $800+ a night PLUS additional fees ($50 per night for parking, $25 room service fee when the kitchen is only 2 floors down) is absurd. The only thing I have to say about this hotel being nice is the staff. The updated rooms is the only thing this hotel has to offer and it does not make up for the poor room “view” advertising and uncalled for additional fees. Breakfast was included but the only thing you can order is eggs. Only allowing 60 minutes per STAY in the spa is not okay either, or again having to pay more if you’d like to stay more than an hour. I will never stay at this hotel again. It was a total rip off.

We have been in this building for five days. We have been in the outskirts, but with a bus stop in front of the entrance, we have always moved to walk because in ten minutes you get to the center and you can admire a wonderful landscape. We were welcome, and the staff were always very kind and ready to meet our needs. The room is comfortable and spacious for us who were in four with two bathrooms always clean. The pool covered is very wide and with large glasses with a beautiful view. Positive experience, very recommended hotels! We would be happy to return!

We were doing a road trip and had no plans to go to Corina De Ampezio, after 5 hours driving from outh area around venezia, we did arrived during a rainy day in Cortina, we were tired and didnt wanted to continue driving, so we decided to find a hotel and all were booked and super expensive for 1 night, we walk several since th apps were not helpings, and we found this hotel Aquila, in the center of the city, is older, but very well kept, they help us with umbreall to park our car, we unload out bags, and gave us a triple room with breakfast , very spacious and onfirtable, they had tead and hot water in the lobby, we had tea and warm up, they also have a tea kettle in the rom, it was nice since were cold not expecting this drastic chamge of weathe and also raining. we really enjoyed a our short stayed, they are very helpful, the breakfast was super good, not much variety for us on meet since we dont eat pork, but we undertad is italy!! they had a variety of bread, pastries , very delcious, juices yougurts, eggs scrambed , and some cold meats but all were pork no chicken or beef. they also have a restaurant for dinner if you want to, but we did had dinner in a nother place. the balcony had spectacular views. they had very nice stores in the walking area , a church very close by, we really enjoyed.

We arrived early because the weather was not looking good and we decided to cancel our hike. Fortunately the room was ready for us. Hotel Olimpia normally charge 15 euros per day for parking but we were originally booked in Hotel Al Larin which has free parking, they honoured free parking for me in Hotel Olimpia. That was good because the carpark is behind and our room was on the ground floor. So we did not have to go up nor down any stairs with our luggage. Otherwise from the street there is a long flight of stairs to the hotel reception and if your room is upstairs, more stairs to climb. The room was of adequate size for 3 of us. The bathroom was very small though and smells of mold. There was a kettle. coffee and tea, but no fridge. The tv didn't have any English channels. The picture here in Tripadvisor are old. Our room was newly renovated with modern decor which is different from their old pictures with dated decor. However they did not have blackout curtains. Also our room face the road and a carpark. So there was traffic noise even till late. We could sleep but light sleepers might find it bothersome. The room was clean and beds comfortable. There are toiletries and the shower is strong and hot. Breakfast had limited variety and the first morning the croissants were either burnt or cold. The hard boiled eggs were cold too. Unfortunately for us, we were mostly stuck in the hotel for the 2 days we were there because it rained all day. The hotel is near shops and restaurants so we could walk around a bit but not for 2 whole days. We will be back and will stay in hotel Olimpia again for its central location.
