It’s rare to find a hotel room without some kind of problem, but we did! We had a king suite in the second floor and it was perfect. The bed was comfortable with 4 king size pillows, and an extra in the closet if you need it! I for one hate those little bitty pillows they give you ant some hotels. The free breakfast was pretty standard fare with the addition of an automatic pancake making machine. In room Keurig coffee machine is good. Staff was very friendly!!!
Staff is great!!! Example AC not working & promptly came up to try & remedy with a kind & happy attitude. Rare now days. Would stay again due to front desk staff. Also loved the fact no carpet in common areas or rooms. Housekeeping, however, is struggling. Not sure if due to shortage of employees, lack of training, inspection staff, or another reason. Room was not dirty, but not comfortably clean. Couple towels dirty, bathroom floor needed attention, dusty.....

All around solid choice. Clean. Fairly new it seemed. Breakfast was great with some healthy choices like Greek yogurt, fruit, berries and oatmeal. And also had hot breakfast sandwiches, eggs, meat and Belgium waffle maker. Tv in room had ability to use your Netflix. Friendly staff. Workout room was nice with a peloton bike. Nice sitting areas outside. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice outside!
The hotel's location was excellent. The hotel and all its amenities were very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were wonderful and fresh. Pool was clean. I will be choosing this location again when I travel back to the area.
Stayed one night; just passing through. It is not 100% perfect - no place is - but for the price, this place is excellent. Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, decent breakfast, nice amenities in rooms. I have stayed in far more expensive places that were not as nice as this little place. Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Would definitely stay again.

KKimberly MLoved everything! The room was very nice, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very nice. They had all the amenities in the room and bathroom. The hotel was just beautiful. Grounds were so pretty, The elevators were nice too! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the restaurants, to the souvenir shop. The pool area was awesome and so nice! The bar was fantastic, from service to drinks. I had the frozen ones. They were so good! I ate at the Splash grill bar next to it. The food was so good! I cannot wait to go back! The beach was so beautiful and renting chairs and umbrellas was affordable and the service was awesome!
TtravlinhixBeautifully decorated and landscaped; the clean, newly modern style hotel had super friendly and helpful front desk staff. The indoor/ outdoor pool was awesome, comfy cozy lobby and sitting areas inside and outdoors. Southern grinds coffee shop is connected to the building, offering delicious breakfast and lunch items as well as tasty coffees, teas, and scooped ice cream. The coffee shop has one of the best coastal gift shops I've ever seen in the area. We were offered 500 bonus IHG points if we spent $50 in food/drink in the bar, but the menu didn't look that great, and we had our heart set on Cobalts anyway. The room was very spacious with wood like floors and modern marine decor, a very comfy bed. The bathroom and shower were also modern, with glass doors and optional spray wand. It felt like coastal luxury. It's further down from the busier ***** area, but that's not a bad thing. The only inconvenience is that you can not walk or cross the busy road to access the beach because there are private rentals that don't allow pass through pedestrians. You will actually have to initial an agreement that you will not do so or be fined? If you are a smoker, they have orange Adirondack chairs in the back parking area where you can puff. Other than that, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property, not even in front or at the coffee shop outdoor tables. They say there is a shuttle that takes you to the public beach entrance less than a mile down the road. It's a nice Pavillion and showers/bathrooms, BUT parking is $10 a day! We didn't see a shuttle but then we didn't ask. We drove there with our beach gear and paid the $10! I suppose you could walk a mile if you had a wagon to haul your stuff to avoid paying the $10 beach access lot parking fee, but who wants to do that on a hot summer day. If staying at Indigo, I would inquire exactly what does using the beach shuttle entail? Anyhow, we usually use IHG points to stay at HI on the beach but it's ridiculously expensive between Labor and Memorial day (the high season), but if your looking for a nice place to stay that's away from the hustle bustle traffic in orange beach, Indigo is great if you can make arrangements for a ride to the beach access at a time suitable for your party (or just cough up the $10 for parking at the beach)!
LladieshoesThe hotel is conveniently located off Interstate 10. Although it is off a major highway, while you enjoy your stay you will not hear the noise from the traffic. It is also located close to Fairhope and Spanish Fort which are a two must visits during your stay. The hotel is also close near the bridge to the other side of the Bay. Another bonus, it's in walking distance to Jubilee Mall which offers restaurants, shopping, and other niceties to enhance your stay. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The only reason why I did not give it a full five stars is the hotel itself is dated. The rooms were dated, absolutely needed upgrading. If they invested a little time and maintenance and upgrading their rooms I think travelers would be quite pleased. Would definitely stay again for my next trip.
GGuest UserThe hotel location was nice, the hotel overall was nice. The toilets in our room wouldn't flush properly and the TV in the room was going bad. They advertised breakfast but it wasn't a buffet style like the Hampton Inn has, they had a bistro that offered a lot of options, but the prices were a little high. Overall it was a nice place and I would stay again.
We arrived in Orange Beach one night early so we stayed the night here while waiting to get into our condo for the rest of the vacay. We were pleasantly surprised with this Hampton Inn. The hotel is beachfront and it is a nice beach. The hotel has a nice size pool as well. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was good and the staff were polite. We have no complaints at all.
SShawniya03Carpet was difficult to roll on using a wheel chair. Disability accessible rooms should be on the first floor for emergency access reasons. Room doorway was too narrow for large wheelchair to pass through without assistance. However, breakfast area was very comfortable and hotel atmosphere was clean and inviting.
First, I’d write we chose this location because we visited years ago and Everything about it was pleasant. Fast forward, we’ve come back and it hasn’t been so pleasant. Still love the location, but on the first night people were still screaming and shouting in the pool well after 12 am which we could clearly hear from our rooms as my family tried to get rest. I called and spoke to the gentlemen at the front after he said the pool closes at 10, it was 10:29 at that point… 11, 12… etc came and people we still out swimming and very inconsiderate. He said he would fix it and Did Not. Next morning, I reported after it after some other lady with reports of an untidy room with pictures. I explained-the excessive running and jumping it sounded like a WII soccer game upstairs in the room right above us. We were told the general manager would be in and we’d hear back from her and that the pool should have been cleared by 10 and that they know music was playing loudly and that it shouldn’t happen again. We are on night three, the upstairs people are still “just called front desk it’s 11:30 p.m.” jumping around and dropping things and running… my family can’t even go to bed. The first night due to the noise and the pool noise I didn’t get rest until after 3 a.m. I am not NOT pleased with the excessive, unnecessary noise we’ve endured this trip. Again usually this our favorite hotel and if we could have some peace in our room it still would be. I hate to stop coming due to this experience, but the lack of rest on a trip we chose to take “To Relax and Get Rest” is unbelievable. Maybe I’d try again but request a room no where near the pool and on the top floor so I won’t have people running and jumping wildly above us. Never had this happen at any hotel before. Hopefully it doesn’t happen here again, if we ever return.
JJINGThe hotel is right next to the beach and has free parking. There is a refrigerator and utensils in the room to cook. Ctrip booked very quickly, but the hotel front desk said that they did not receive the money, and recorded my credit card again. I don't know if I will deduct the money.
GGuest UserThe hotel was amazing and you only had to cross one street to be directly at the beach’s entrance. The breakfast selection was a bit lacking (think cereal, oatmeal, and muffins) but was sufficient enough to fuel the day. The floor of my room was very grainy with sand but that’s to be expected as a beach hotel. Housekeeping was excellent about providing requested sheets, towels and toilet paper in a timely manner. One inconvenience that feels worth mentioning is that their was only one easily accessible plug close to appliances so we could not have the fridge, microwave and tv plugged in at once, however this was not a problem in other trip-goers rooms so perhaps this is just a single room problem. There are a few of outdoor seating spaces that provided a great relaxation spot. The photos below are some of the photos taken of the view from the hotels staircase. The pool was a great escape and a great place to bring kids when the beach is not possible. This hotel was also extremely understanding and accommodating for a child with limited movement ability. If you are not looking for anything too fancy but a decent place to stay while in Gulf Shores, this is definitely a spot that I would recommend.
