Stayed here recently because of the hotel’s proximity to Kaiser Fontana Hospital. My wife lost her father while we stayed here and this hotel served as a refuge for the grief we felt. We stayed in room 429, floor facing the main street. I am a Hilton Honors member and tend to stay in Hilton properties over Marriott and other brands. I have to say this was one of the best experiences we have had at a hilton property. The thing was…there wasn’t anything necessarily exceptional about the stay, other than a few things. However, these things can make or break a hotel experience. FIRST: the staff were EXCELLENT. Professional. Friendly. Good at their jobs. Special shout out to Shalayla, Krystal, and Stephanie (night front desk person), for being super accommodating, professional, and sincere. My wife and I appreciated this, especially during the difficult time we experienced with our loss. SECOND: rooms were CLEAN and BEDS were comfortable. Not too soft or firm, just right. Pillows were comfy. Wifi signal was strong, even without the upgrade which cost 4.95 per day. I streamed my shows with just the free wifi and it was perfectly fine. THIRD: the window in the room opened a few inches, giving you a bit of fresh air, which is WONDERFUL. Please keep this ability. In a time of covid and airborne viruses, it was nice to know we could get some fresh into the room to clear things out. LASTLY, it was quiet when we needed it to be. Although, I would say if you are very sensitive to noise, do not get an adjoining room. As is the norm for rooms with adjoining rooms, we were able to hear our neighbors a bit in the morning when they got up. They were construction guys, so they were up at dawn and out of the room pretty quickly, but just be aware if you want to sleep. Ask for a room with no door connecting to your neighbors. Other than this, which was nothing honestly, we had a perfect stay. THANK YOU to the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Fontana. You were kind to your guests, when they needed it most. If you are looking for a safe and clean hotel to rest when you need to, this Hilton location in Fontana is a good bet. - Maya and Jaime, August 2023

I have stayed at this motel 3 times since December of 2020. My review can only be written in two parts, complimentary and critical. Complimentary: As I have written in previous reviews, this is a very nice motel. Very clean, well maintained, and great location to freeways. Critical: I had total knee replacement surgery on September 24th. On August 28th, I went to this motel to make a reservation for September 24th and 25th. I had to have someone stay with me for the first 2 days post surgery. When making the reservation I was very clear that I needed a handicap access room. I asked if I could see one of those rooms and was told that I could not, due to Covid. I was not going to touch anything, I just wanted to make sure it was what I needed. I explained that the room had to be for me and someone to help me. There was only a queen sized bed in the room, but I was assured that there was a sofa in the room where my helper could sleep. Upon check-in on the 24th, we went to the room, and there was NO sofa. Just a bed, table and chairs, and one other chair too small for anyone to sleep in comfortably. Also upon check in, I was told that the normal buffet style breakfast was different in that they were using up everything until they ran out and that they were going to be going back to sack breakfasts that had to be heated in the room microwave. My friend went to get breakfast Saturday morning, and the only thing available was some scrambled eggs, juice, coffee and toast. Nothing else, so he went to McDonalds to get us a decent breakfast. The soda machine was out of order, with a sign that read ”soda machine out of order, bottled water is being sold in the lobby”. Now, on top of all of that, I paid $190.27 for Friday night and $214.54 for Saturday night. Total: with taxes $437.98. Absolutely ridiculous rates for the type of room and service we received. I paid less than that for an ocean view room on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. I will be staying at this motel in the future, only because it is the only decent motel in an area where I conduct business. I just hope this review does not fall on deaf ears.....

WE WERE ROBBED AND TREATED WITH COMPLETE DISRESPECT BY MANAGEMENT AND STAFF. DO NOT STAY HERE! We were placed on the first floor, and went to a music festival later that evening. Upon our return, our door was held open with 2 sugar packets, room ransacked and many expensive items stolen (including our car!). When we went to explain to the front desk what happened and asked him to call the police, he told us to do it ourselves. His name is Darny (or something along those lines). He then proceeded to tell us we had to stay in our crime scene of a room, and also continued to use his personal cell phone, which I found extremely disrespectful and strange. He then gave us a phone number for management (Rose Gonzalez), who answered the phone, lied to us saying she was NOT Rose, and then blocked our number. The next morning, we found out we could have been moved rooms, and Rose Gonzalez only tried to comp us for one of our night's stay. WE WERE ROBBED and our CAR STOLEN on THEIR PROPERTY. When we were moved rooms to the 4th floor we noticed several differences. One, there was a metal window jam on our window on the 4th floor, but ZERO jam on the 1st floor. The window was also locked, whereas our room on the 1st floor was UNLOCKED. We did not even notice our 1st floor room (Room 139) was left unlocked until the 2nd visit from the police around 5am with handprints all over the glass. There was NO screen, window jam or safe located in our room. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SAFETY! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! THEY DID NOT CARE THAT WE WERE ROBBED! They told us they felt attacked, which was hilarious because WE WERE COMPLETELY VIOLATED on THEIR PROPERTY. WE HAD TO SLEEP IN A CRIME SCENE. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY OR BELONGINGS, BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT EITHER.
