In town to visit my dying dad for 2 days and it was the closest to the rehab place. I wanted to check in early before seeing my dad but that costed $50 extra bucks. So they just help my bags. Breakfast is only from 6;30am to 9:30am and I didn’t partake. Mostly because I was/am emotionally drained with my dad situation. But night 2 the smoke alarm battery went off at midnight. And I called down to the front desk. No one answered. So I attempted to sleep which didn’t happen. I call down at 7:30am to complain and was told I was to walk down to the front desk at midnight to find a person to fix the issue in the room I was paying for. It was my fault for not going the extra mile. I will never stay here again. Crappy service and absolute zero compassion. Only good thing is you can walk through grass and trees to get to a lake to walk around and either Sweet water Tavern or Olive Garden.
Stayed for a few nights for a near by wedding. Good sized room, comfortable bed (on the softer side, but I like soft), separate desk/couch area with the mini fridge, sink, and microwave. Decent wifi, normal TV channels. For breakfast (which started at 6am!) There was a choice of two hot single-serving options. While I was there one would be egg+meat, the other egg with no meat. (Breakfast sandwiches, mini quiches, etc). Also yogurt, cereal, coffee. Small gym, inside pool. The pool was popular with kids from what I noticed. Small area next to the front desk where you could buy snacks and convenience items. Not much in the immediate area, maybe you could walk to a gas station, but as long as you have a car it's a quick drive to shopping and restaurants. Very convenient to Dulles airport, they have a shuttle as well.
I’d like to begin by letting you know the lady at the front desk that checked me in was very sweet, professional, and empathetic. Even though she had to deliver bad news to me, the sting wasn’t there because of how she treated me. I was so tired that it forgot to get her name. We book a room with two double beds because we are traveling with two children. When we checked in at 11:00 PM, after driving for seven hours, I was informed they sold out of all the room types I had already paid for. They gave us a king room with a couch. I let the gal know we had two children and she said she would give extra bedding. When we got to the room, which is quite nice, the couch wasn’t at all as one would expect. It’s three modular cubes. When I picked up the extra bedding, there was enough for only one child. Thankfully we had extra blankets and pillows in our car so we could make a padded area on the floor for child #2. When it was time to sleep we realized the curtain doesn’t close, so the room became quite bright earlier in the morning than we were needing, because there weren’t the type of curtains that completely cover the window. Our bathroom door will not stay closed because it doesn’t latch. The king size bed is nice and the bedding is very nice. The drawers are spacious. We have a refrigerator, keurig coffee maker, and a microwave oven. All work perfectly. There is a space to hang up clothes and a rack above to store luggage. In anticipation of hungry children, I pre-toasted bagels before leaving home and slightly warmed them in the microwave before spreading on the cream cheese. Happy belly’s. (I know, not a healthy breakfast, but it did the job.) we brought along Go-Go Squeeze fruit purées, Danimals drinkable yogurt, and fizzy waters for snacking. We are about to check out the pool, so right now I can’t comment on that.

My stay at this hotel was excellent. Everything in the room I stayed at was functionally sound and is nicely furnished and laid out. While I was there, everything was quiet I was able to get work done there and get well rested. The hotel's atrium is a nice place to chill in addition to the enclosed courtyard. The restaurant serves up some pretty decent fare for reasonable prices. This hotel is right across the street from the mall, and just further down are several more options for shopping and dining. The hotel staff here are hospitable and warm, and always helpful. It's really hard to find anything to fault with this hotel, as just about everything I experienced was excellent. I look forward to staying here again soon when the opportunity permits.
Hotel is really clean, staffs were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good enough to get your day started. I really like the free shuttle service the hotel provides to and from airport and metro, very convenient! Highly recommended.
Manisha- has been the best lady to come in contact with at this hotel, very nice always welcoming to the guest. Great personality and will communicate with you very well and will try to help with any problems you come into contacts with. Overall a very good employee at the Suburban Extended Stay in Sterling,VA
Stayed here off and on for 6 months working on a project in the area and without a doubt had the best experience staying here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was great every visit. It was great having free laundry downstairs and close proximity to walmart and other stores to buy food to cook in the room. Amy and Adam were great on their communication whenever I have issues with my room which they made sure I have same one every visit. Got my receipts every week after checking out and never had any issues. I drove 15 miles to here instead of closer hotels to job site. Staying here was no mistake.
The location is convenient to the airport. The front desk was extremely accommodating to my request of an early check in. Excellent breakfast. Housekeeping is tip top with an overall spotless room. The bed was firm and comfortable. Only negative: no golf channel!
