La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Bend Near Notre Dame

We were very satisfied with the quality and value of our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and even cheerfully decorated for the holidays. We used the small indoor pool, enjoyed the breakfast, and would stay here again.

This is a gem of a hotel. The property is attractive and well-maintained but the cost is very reasonable. I stayed here twice while traveling home for Christmas. The staff honored my requests for a quiet room. The rooms were both attractive with exceptionally comfortable beds. They have refrigerators and microwaves, making it possible for me to bring the food I need for my special diet. I didn’t try breakfast, but I think I could have found enough to eat. The bathroom mirrors had a soft, diffuse light that was really flattering. I appreciated the countertop with plenty of room for toiletries. They provide a comfortable desk and two chairs for sitting. There was also a black out curtain in my second room, although not in my first. Because you can see into the rooms from outside, that should be fixed. The only other downsides I found were that the showers don’t have a shelf to place items. I had to put things on the floor outside the door. But they do provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shower floor looked stained but clean. Also, the heater filter looked like it had never been cleaned. I’ve never seen one so dirty. But overall, a shoutout to Sam, the person who cleans and makes up the rooms. Everything else was great. The neighborhood was not the greatest, but I never felt unsafe. The hotel is on a busy street but there’s a light accessible for left turns, which is really handy. If I need an overnight stay in South Bend again, this will be my first choice.

Our family needed a quick few nights stay. This hotel was perfect for a family or single traveler. Modern on the inside, well decorated, clean, and friendly staff!

It was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had and the staff is the most friendly people I’ve ever met for a hotel staff.

I have nothing by positive things to say about our stay. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was conveniently located and easy to access. Our room was clean and comfortable. The fridge and microwave were helpful. Breakfast was offered and included in our stay. The kids went swimming and enjoyed the clean pool and pool area. The lobby is welcoming and spacious. Lastly, the staff was friendly and attentive.

This is our second stay at a LaQuinta in the last 2 wks. The quality of the hotels was beyond our expectations. Very updated, clean, lobby were beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our battery died in our car and they gave us a late check out until we could get our car fixed. The area was only 8 min. drive to Notre Dame. Didn't seemed to be bothered by any street noise.

I was pleasantly surprised by the condition. The hotel was up to date in decor and the service was excellent.
