Marino Beach Colombo

I stayed in a premier king suite which was so affordable. The room was bright, white and really pretty with a nice partial ocean view with balcony. Had a great bathtub aswell and the drinks in the mini bar were included for free. ( a few softdrinks ). The location of the hotel was directly opposite tge beach abd attached to Marino mall which was fantastic as it has some good shops, food places abd even a virtual reality arcade style place. There is a fantastic foot massage place at the base of the travellator which is an extension if the hotels main spa upstairs but its so affordable. I had 3 foot massages there and it was always consistently great. The buffet breakfast was varied with really good food both western and Sri lankan with included cappuccino style coffee for no added charge upon request. Lots of beautiful different fruit variety's, finally had a pink banana and pink pomelo! The staff were courteous and friendly and they took safety seriously as everyone must put their bags and person through screening going into the hotel and your keycard was required to get to your room floor. A great bonus is the 3 hr complimentary city tour on an air-conditioned tour bus.i was hesitant thinking it might be a waste of time but it was actually really good to get oriented with the city and to stop and go through the museum and temple. They cover any entrance fees for you so I would definitely recommend going. The on-site spa Waa extremely good and the infinity pool upstairs was absolutely stunning. There are,a few separate jacuzzi spas separate aswell. 3 on-site restaurants are there though I didn't try them meant you were spoilt for choice. Can't recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely come and stay here again. It's such good value.

The stay was absolutely amazing. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is outstanding. I truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic stay at the Marino Beach Colombo Hotel, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo. The energy of the hotel matches the city in the best way—there’s a lively, enjoyable atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel fun and memorable. One highlight for me was the great view from the hotel. It really adds to the overall vibe and makes it feel special, even when you’re just stepping out to take a moment. I’d highly recommend booking a room with a balcony. As a mature solo traveller, that private outdoor space made a big difference—especially in a city that can be hot and busy. Even when the day is energetic, the balcony offers that easy, tranquil respite you need to recharge. And the rooftop infinity pool? Absolutely wonderful—great views, a fantastic atmosphere, and a calm break from the city buzz. I also need to make special mention to Upendra. The entire reception/concierge service was brilliant, but Upendra’s attention to detail truly stood out. He supported me with my eSIM and helped with my transport needs, and I genuinely felt valued and cared for—like I was a beloved auntie. It’s exactly what I appreciate from young, enthusiastic staff. Finally, I have to mention the beach club. It was a great experience—and thanks to the life guard, I even got to enjoy a “tethered” swim in the sea. (And yes—at almost 6 feet tall, tethering this Viking shield Maiden really isn’t as fun as it sounds 😄😂) Thank you again, Upendra—and thank you to the Marino Beach Colombo Hotel team.

Very good service and allowed early check in when a room was available. Would recommend to friends and use again if traveling to Colombo. Roof pool worth a visit!
