Stables Ashbourne

Wow, is the only word you can use to describe this amazing place. The room is on another level and you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. They have thought of everything and it really does make a big difference. The bar next door is also exceptionally and truly recommended every go and have a meal, the food is to die for, and the staff are the most welcoming and friendly. We will be going back.

The room was exceptional. The attention to detail in the decorating was wonderful. The bed huge and comfortable, the bath was incredible. Everything was perfect and the staff could not have been nicer. We also had dinner and breakfast next door at The Bowling Green and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

A wonderful stay! The staff were welcoming in showing us to the room and had kindly put some petals down as it was a birthday present to my partner. We ordered room service and this came quickly and food was hot. The room was stunning and I could only wish the stay was slightly cheaper so we could’ve stayed a second night. We had the Superior Double with Super King Bed which had a Japanese hot tub on the balcony - no issues with privacy on the balcony.

My wife and I stayed here for a night in a Junior suite. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The staff were super friendly and very helpful (even when I had a slight mishap and broke a door handle they were very kind about it. Turn the handle and push the door towards outside) The rooms are beautiful and clean, everything about it feels high quality. The beds are massive. It’s a nice touch getting the water and drinks in the fridge. The outside tub was nice and clean, but very hot even on a cold night. The food in the Bowling Green pub next door, where you book in was great also. 10/10 stay and will be back in future.

Great room and room service, comfy bed, amazing shower and nice balcony with hot tub! Easy to find and located perfectly at the top of the hill. We had a meal at the pub one night which was great and room service the following night which was just as good!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The rooms are incredibly well equipped, comfortable and superb quality. We had 4 rooms as stayed as a family for a wedding and each room was super comfortable and of a huge standard. Coupled with the pub next door serving food it had everything you need.

WOW !! 2nd visit. And now planning next visit. Fantastic calming luxury room complete with Hot tub. Coffee machine homemade shortbread & refreshments in fridge all complimentary. Best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. Fantasy food at adjoining pub The bowling Green & reasonably priced. All staff were amazing and it was clear the were a work family/team ⭐️

THE place to stay in Ashbourne! It’s our 3rd time here now and this time we stayed in room 2. The room itself is gorgeous, bed is super comfortable, and it has everything you could need. The view on the balcony is lovely looking out to the trees. Balcony is lovely, hot tub gorgeous, super relaxing and super private! It is next to a well used road but you can’t hear it at all from inside the room, and to be honest I love sitting out and listening to just life going by, be it birds or cars, and here sometimes there’s both! The staff are all super friendly and accommodating, and the food in the attached pub and room service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect for access to the Peak District and for a lovely quintessential village break!

A hidden gem. The rooms are decorated beautifully providing a restful sanctuary. We had a Japanese bathtub on the balcony which was so warm and relaxing on a cold night. Great for star gazing. The next room we had included a beautiful copper bath and our own spa in the basement! This really was a relaxing weekend where everything is thought of. Amy is a wonderful host where nothing seems to be an issue. The restaurant is extremely popular and we hadn't booked but she still managed to jiggle tables to fit us in. Would highly recommend.
