We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

During a few days stay in Dresden, I wanted to stay as close to the centre, with good communication and a car space. The bus stop was about 200 meters from the hotel, making it very easy to get to the center (1 direct bus at about 20 minutes). In addition, the hotel is located on a very low busy street, so it is possible to park the car ”under the window” for free, and the nights are quiet and quiet. With regard to the design and service I have no objections. Next time I will be in Dresden I will no longer have a problem with choosing a accommodation ;)

First off, the location is great next to Postplatz. It's literally few steps to attractions Semperoper, Residenzschloss, Zwinger, Frauenkirche and the Elbe river. The rooms are tiny with the shower and washbasin inside the actual room, only the toilet separated by a door. There was dust below the beds and the room has seen better days. Overall it was ok, the beds comfy, and cleanliness on an average level. The price was fair given what we got. The breakfast is 8.50 EUR per person. You get some basics. Non-dairy milk (soy / oat) is not available which caused some issues with the cerials (use water or juice). Bottom line is that you get some food, but don't ask for fancy stuff or look for regional items or sustainability.

Finger away! I recently booked a double room for single use for one night in this accommodation via the HRS portal. During the entire booking process and also in the booking confirmation, there was no talk of that you can only stay here with membership in the DJH. Only after a telephone request it came to the conclusion that a membership would be made at a price of €25 per year to stay there. For my terms, it was a clear breach of the price information regulation. The crown was then briefly: the youth guest house tried to cancel my legally binding booking, making it apparently claim to HRS that a night would not be possible for individuals in their hostel. For a youth hostel is equally grossly unfair business behavior –! I will now see to let the youth guest house be discharged by the consumer centre or a local competitor.

My hotel room was HUGE. This was a phenomenal surprise, especially given the location. The Hotel is around the corner from a ton of excellent restaurants, and only a short short walk from the city center were one can find beautiful outdoor terraces with wonderful views of the city. Once construction in the market in front of the hotel is finished, I'm sure there will also be another excellent view on the doorstep. I will happily stay here again next time I need to be in Dresden.

The price is very good, it is a little far from the center! It is also more troublesome to take the bus, but the living environment is still good, the surrounding is also quiet, is a hotel that receives tour groups!
