It's far from the city center, not very convenient. There are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. I feel like living in a barren mountain. There is no elevator in the hotel and it is very difficult to carry luggage. The breakfast is rich, but the quality of coffee is poor. The dinner is good and the service attitude is average.
Service was absolutely brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble! I had great brides morning and they left a bottle of fizz for us which was really nice! Beautiful spaced room, clean and had all necessities. Would definitely come back if I would need a room in Edinburgh. Highly recommend.
The room is very artistic in style. Although the price is a bit expensive, the service is really good. When checking in, they will try their best to meet all your room requirements!

Location is 5 to 10 minutes walk from Waverly train station. Just turn RIGHT from the MAIN STREET. Staff was helpful in arranging a cab for us to airport costing only £28 for 2 of us. IF we took the tram, our costing would be £15, but you needed to drag your luggage 🧳 and if raining 🌧 will be tough.
The washing machine works well and come with ironing facilities.
There's a iron with ironing board. Me managed to washed and iron all my clothes after 6 nights before flying off to Bergen.
I will definitely recommend to all my friends.

Conditions are quite comfortable. The address is in the city center. It is very convenient to go anywhere. The elevator can go directly to the train station. Calton Hill is right next to it. It is quite cost-effective.
It is quite close to the train station and the location is very good. The price is not too cheap, and of course it is not too expensive. It is quite close to Mingsheng in various places. You can live here for a short time, but it is not suitable to live here for the whole process.
Absolutely a good location for quietness and quiet in the new city. Very close to the train station and the airport bus. If you bring large luggage, it is recommended that you live in the new city. It is very convenient. As long as you have a bed, you don’t need to wait until the afternoon. If you have big luggage, you need to take some effort to climb this red staircase. Others are perfect. You can cook in the kitchen. Basically, you have fruit, bread, milk, and tea. There is no limit in the hall. Your best meal, please consciously tidy and clean the girl I live in. The 6 rooms have curtains. The bedside can fill the shop. Small luggage can be placed directly in everyone's cabinet. If you are lucky, you can live on the bottom floor. Hahaha. It's a three-story bed, so the first floor is very low and I can hardly straighten the waist. I can end it. After all, the price is so favorable. Right, there is a great coffee bar and small restaurant downstairs. Everyone is seductive when I see the Apple store and turn in. This is the bar and the hotel
Because the travel plan changed, we booked a hostel at short notice. You know, it's not easy to book such a cheap bed in Edinburgh. The place is not difficult to find, but the stairs are small and it's difficult to move luggage. The toilet and bathroom are small, but they can be used. Breakfast is provided, and you can cook for yourself. It's very close to the station, and there are many shops nearby, including McDonald's.
I left my headphones there, so I asked the customer service to contact the hotel, and finally they were successfully sent to the next city we went to. In short, thank you very much to Ctrip's customer service, and the response and service of the hostel are also very good!
It is situated in a prime location. Everything is easily accessible. The room is cleaned. However, the entrance of the hotel is a bit obscure. It is quite annoying especially when it is raining and you have a few pieces of luggage to carry.
Not full set of amenities is provided.
Other than that, I think it is a good choice for sightseeing around Edinburgh.
The arranged room is on the 5th floor. The elevator can only go to the 4th floor, so you need to carry your suitcase and take the stairs to the 5th floor. This is a bit of a pity. Everything else is very good. It is just opposite the Waverley Railway Station and is close to Lisigo. The monument is very close and the view from the breakfast restaurant is very good.

AAnonymous UserGoogle Maps brought us to wrong place. Be careful! Hotel is good location. Much bigger than what it looks from outside.
Parking is limited and requires extra payment. We could not parked onsite and was directed to park at another nearby APEX hotel.
We love the rubber ducky!

DDixi.jhaveri INDHostel location is nice near university of edinburgh.
Breakfast menu is nice although its the same everyday even the options of fruits and crossiant fillings.
Its freshly made everyday . Service is nice at ground level is really nice
Pro: location, hotel staff , laundry and dry cleaning service on first come self serve basis.
Rooms have AC , Table fans, iron kit , mircrowave and fridge.
Con: Room service needs improvement. They have given it to 3rd party so have fixed timing and clean rooms faster and can be some times undone partially!
I would recommend to stay here for 3-4 days or untill you are not bored of eating same breakfast :)
Reception is available 24/7 which is nice.
Nearest bus stop at forrest road.
VVictoriayuanThe location is quite good. It takes only ~10min walk to the university of Edinburgh. And we are warmly greeted and patiently treated during our stay. Recommend it.
GGuest UserOpposite the train station is Scotsman. Exit the train station from the market street direction. Cross the road and walk a few steps to the left. You will see a small black door. Click on the intercom and someone will open the door without speaking. Push the door and there will be an elevator. You can Go straight to the front desk.
Another way is to go up the stairs next to it.
The room is warm and clean, and two free bottles of sparkling water are provided.

LLiziyaochumenWe walked in with normal legs and feet, but the front desk staff arranged a disabled room without saying anything, and it was a connecting room. We went downstairs to ask for a change of room, and the front desk staff arrogantly said that all the double rooms in the hotel were disabled rooms, and insisted that I had booked a disabled room. We asked the front desk to bring the record in their system that showed that the disabled room was booked, but they refused to give it to us. In the end, we changed to a normal room (so it was not because the hotel had no rooms).
When checking out the next day, another front desk staff said that the hotel only had 4 disabled rooms in total, and it was impossible that all double rooms were disabled rooms. It turned out that the front desk staff lied the night before.
When the hotel had normal rooms, they changed the normal rooms booked by customers who did not need special support to disabled rooms without asking in advance, and they wanted to deceive customers. I couldn't believe that I was staying at Marriott.

Very Good
Ttobby12The hotel is located in the new town, 10 minutes walk to Prince Street, the location is very good, downstairs is very popular with locals of the traditional British restaurant, locals will come here specially for breakfast. There is a unique design style, the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable enough, very comfortable experience, the only downside is that the stairs are very narrow and the large luggage is very difficult to get up and down.
GGuest UserThis hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.
NNick89Great location. Didn't use the amenities on site but the bar looked good and plenty of late night food.
Only issue was the beds didn't have dedicated wall plugs or USB ports close by so you have to flight someone for a plug or keep devices away from you if you didn't have a long cord to reach your bed.
Great showers 2 in my room of 8 people, hot and great pressure.
