Hotel in central location room very comfortable but very warm due to weather. Breakfast was fantastic delighted with the booking was an absolute bargain through Trip.com during the Royal military tattoo and fringe season! Would definitely return!

I think the hotel location is very good, almost touching the royal mile with just few meters away. This hotel is suitable for solo or business travelers as this is an express hotel. The room we got was very small in size 19m2 not suitable for family with a kid. There was no refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was very ordinary with very few options so, I will not suggest to take breakfast at this hotel, in fact people can scout on royal mile for a decent restaurant.
Overall, 1 or 2 days should be ok without much hassle but if you are planning to spend some more time then I will not suggest for this hotel. Staff was always helpful and they do the best to guide you for things.

We are so satisfied with Aparthotel! It is very clean and has everything we need. Especially when you want to stay in the same place for a few days and don't know where to eat, this hotel is equipped with basic cooking ware, rubbish and recycling bins and a dishwasher! Is is also located in between the train station and city centre. When you feel tired you can always go back for a rest before heading out for dinner.

This hotel is a hotel that combines bar, catering and accommodation. After getting off the plane from Edinburgh Airport, we took the tram to the city center and then navigated to walk to the hotel. The hotel is very close to the train station, about three to four hundred meters walk. The rooms, services, and dining at this hotel are all great! They prepared a letter when I checked in. I also wrote a thank you letter to them before leaving. It was very interesting. I will choose their home again next time I come to Edinburgh!

We recently stayed at Novotel Edinburgh for our first wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so special, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.
The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with a stunning view of the city. The hotel even surprised us with a lovely anniversary treat, which was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options.
The location was ideal—close to all the main attractions, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. We also enjoyed the hotel’s facilities, especially the pool and bar area, which added to the overall luxury of our trip.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you, Novotel Edinburgh, for making our special occasion truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

I stayed in this hotel for 3 days. When i arrived we were given a noisy connecting room facing the construction site.I could hear people speaking from the next room clearly and they were really noisy as well. The Front office guy manager helped us check-in.Next day there was a very nice lady named Andrrea (sorry if i spelled it wrong)she helped us move to this beautiful room with the view. She was very helpful and always smiling.Breakfast was really nice. But the only thing i am disappointed with is that there were no toothbrush and slippers in the room. The Housekeeping team only cleaned our room but didn’t refill any amenities like water, toilet rolls, coffee, milk and even the hand towel from the bathroom so i had to ask for everything when i came back to my room. Its quite embarrassing for me to ask for these myself tbh.I would love to see Andrrea again when come back.

Awful hotel that is definitely not 4* and the service is not at Hilton level at all….
The hotel goes under the renovation and there were only 2 lifts with queues and they are also used by the staff too
We had a room for 3 people and had all set up for two people only, the room was dirty with hair in the shower and the ceiling.
When I took the shower the pipe was blocked and the water started to leak to the bathroom… yes they sorted the problem quite quickly but still was not great experience
There were no slippers and bathrobes. I asked for x3 slippers and they brought only one pair. I asked again and they brought only one pair again. On the third time they brought two pairs…. When I asked for 3!!! And still no bathrobes. We asked for additional blanket and it was in a random location after the room was cleaned.
The room was cleaned badly on the next day we stayed. My pajamas was thrown elsewhere and I found it on the table, the towels we put on the floor to be replaced were fold dirty on the shelves… the blanket was in a random location and the cleaner did not pay any attention at all left the room dirty. Very disrespectful
I felt that I had to beg for the things we are supposed to get in this kind of hotels. Shocking!!!
Yes they compensated with a complimentary breakfast which was good but still the service was bad. They sent the cleaner and by the time she came we were already sleeping. And she did not speak any English … very disappointed

Everything was overall very good. The location was exceptional. The rooms were so handy and practical, there was a quite functional and almost fully equipped kitchen and there was even a washing machine. I was planning to have breakfast outside - in a coffee shop or bakery, but i changed my plans to have my breakfast in the room sine the room was like studio and had given me a cosy feeling in the middle of the city center. The only downfall was that instead of keycards, they gave me a pincode (like numeric password) to open the doors and the codes were hand written by receptions and handed to customers just like that. This seemed to me not very safe while it may sound somehow practical to some other people in other ways. Maybe i need to get used to it if this method is going to be applied everywhere in the future, who knows.

CCookieFDWe stayed at Wilde just before New Year and we were not disappointed. The location is fantastic. Just behind the castle and around the corner from Grassmarket. The staff were fantastic, from the minute we arrived till the minute we checked out. Nothing is an issue to them. The apartment was both modern and well equipped. I would definitely return, but would get a room on the 1st floor. As the lower rooms you can hear people above moving furniture etc. Not the company's fault, just inconsiderate guests that you can't choose!

GGuest UserMy first hostel stay so im not sure what are the standards for hostels. I chose to stay here due to its proximity in the center of Edinburgh and the hotels near the centre are really costly. However i realised that Edinburgh is tiny and i finished the city centre in half a day and you could just walk or take the bus into the centre anyway. In hindsight i would have gotten a hotel outside of the centre. Edinburgh is unlike most major cities and not worth paying a premium to be in the centre

AAnonymous UserThe room is really average, the soundproofing is not very good, the room layout is also very strange, some rooms of the same level have bathtubs and some do not. Although the location is very good, right under the Edinburgh Castle, the overall price is still expensive

TTianshangxiaoyunThe location of the hotel is excellent, exit the train station, 3 minutes walk. It is still a place to take pictures and punch in. It feels good to live in the scenery of others! The most important thing is to go to Edinburgh, the art gallery net red can be reached in a few minutes. A little expensive is true. Hotels in Edinburgh are generally expensive.

SSuomijp2Super recommend!!! It was truly clean, modern, comfortable, convenient and everything was there that you will need. It was really amazing place to stay. I wish I could stay longer if I don’t have any plan after this. Bath amenities were also provided, kitchen had everything, washing and drying machines was good. If you open the drawer of mirror-desk, you can find the guide book.
This place is the best to stay in Edinburgh.
Thank you so much Holyrood apart hotel

GGuest UserThere is nothing to say about the location, the Royal Mile is just outside the door, and it is also very close to the train station. I don't know if it's because it just happened to be in time for the Edinburgh International Art Festival. The cleaning on the first day was missed, and the room facilities are relatively old and smelly. But it still doesn't affect our love for Edinburgh. I really hope that we are still in Edinburgh every day when we open our eyes!

PPypyppyThe location is perfect! Walking distance to different shops and sites. And there’re delicious restaurants nearby. You can also eat and drink in the bar inside of hostel. The staff is very nice.
It’s good that the shower bathrooms and toilet rooms are separated (and they have 2 toilet rooms and 2 shower rooms) so that I won’t worry about peeing myself.
However, it’s inconvenient that not every bed also hv charging port on bed. The room has charging port but some bed has individual port while some don’t have.

RRobertIts a Premier INN, a low cost, basic hotel room. The rooms are a good size but the double bed has only two pillows. There was only one large towel in the room. There is no fridge. We were given only one room key which can be a bit annoying. It has minimal service, minimal staff, you can self check-in and just drop the keys to check out. It is Ok if you are clear on what you are getting.
