Argyll Plaza Hotel

Convenient, spacious, and perfect for a quick road trip stop! We picked this hotel during our road trip because of its great location right on our route, affordable rates, and positive reviews. It’s located in a convenient area near a shopping complex, making it super easy to grab whatever you need. Check-in was a breeze—the front desk clerk was extremely welcoming, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. He got us checked in and handed over our key cards in no time. Our second-floor room was surprisingly spacious and even came with a nice seating area and couch. The TV worked perfectly. The AC unit was blowing slightly lukewarm air (it probably needed a coolant top-up), but since we were only staying for one night, it wasn't a major issue for us. As a huge plus, they had an ice machine, which was a total lifesaver since our cooler was completely out of ice. They also offer free on-site parking with plenty of spots, so parking was hassle-free. The breakfast was standard—nothing fancy, but completely expected for typical road trip hotels in the US and good enough to start the day. Overall, it served its purpose well for a one-night stay, and I was very happy with my experience. I'd stay here again!

The hotel ambience isn’t what was expected of the pictures. It was an average hotel, does not match 8.2 or very good rating as in the trip.com. There was construction going on within the hotel. The breakfast was not up to the mark. No hot breakfast at all. The room was good size though and clean. Overall an okay experience. Reception service was good.

The hotel is quite dated, and the breakfast is limited with just various carb options, I. E. Bread, muffins, cereal, waffles etc.. I had a kitchenette attached to my room, and the cups, utensils provided were dirty and appeared to have been simply rinsed out rather than actually washed. Limited tea/coffee options in the room, with a very dated coffee machine. I couldn't get the TV to work in my room. Basically a simple, but tired and dated hotel, however with friendly staff especially the night duty manager.

Rooms were clean but dated. Washroom was renovated. Customer service was excellent. Room was very large. Location is convenient for exploring the city and for grocery shopping and other essentials. There wasn't enough shower amenities in the washroom.

We booked the Argyll because of its proximity to the Saville center. We were attending a Curling camp that started early in the mornings. It was an eight minute drive to get there. The beds were awesome and comfortable, but the rooms were older and beaten up a little bit. The stay probably would’ve been fine except there was a rave at the bar attached to the mall that was half outside and it went until about 10:30 PM. It was super loud in the rooms. We also had a next-door neighbour that started his parties at one or two in the morning. Even after complaining the first night, they still left him in the room next to us for the next night. I got very little sleep for two nights in a row. The breakfast wasn’t much but fine anyway. There’s lots of free parking. And a few restaurants in the ***** mall that the hotel is attached to. Some interesting clientele around, but it wasn’t scary or anything. Just not a good hotel for kids to be at or if you need to be up early in the morning.
