Hotel Dei Pini

We needed somewhere to totally switch off and relax after a stressful summer and this place was just perfect. The beach access is great - Sardinia is a beautiful island but sandy beaches are hard to find. Another plus is proximity to the airport, 30 minutes maximum away.

Amazing stay at Hotel dei Pini for 4 nights in October with variety of activities to do and many options in the restaurant. Seaview/beach access room: clean and organized well, good lighting and a lovely patio with easy access to the beach. Quiet throughout the night. Restaurant: Breakfast buffets available daily with a decent amount of suitable options. Dinner was great with many options, as well as a Mediterranean buffet on Monday. We skipped lunch, but enjoyed some drinks at the bar in the afternoons. Beach side: the beach is beautiful and has clear water, with mostly soft sand and some rocky terrain around. Recliner beach chaise (chairs) were available often, even though some other guests would sometimes put towels to hold them up. Great view of the sunrise. Water activities available beach side: -Kayaking: available for single and doubles. This was fun with many views around the coast and great for any beginner! -Motorized Boat: fits 3 people well, up to 4 comfortably. We rented the boat for 4 hours and traveled around the coast to the Capo Caccia and Isola di Foradada. We were instructed on how to operate the boat and all safety measures prior to leaving. Plenty of time to sightsee, as well as to take a dip in the waters. Pool: clean waters and not so busy because most guests rather go to the beach. Great view of the sunset. Poolside drinks/snacks available to order. Overall, amazing experience and well worth every minute of it! 5/5 would recommend!

What a wonderful place..gorgeous beach..very clean..but most important excellent staff from the moment we arrived..we needed a full weeks sun sea and sand..its was just what the doctor ordered ..we hope to be back again sooCaio from The Kelly's

I, my wife and son spent a week here at the beginning of September. For those considering a stay here is like to give you a balanced review. I cannot understand how people are raving about this hotel, it's ok, but not great. Let me give you the pros and cons: The good bits:- The staff (all the staff) The location - right on the beach The common areas are nice The not so good bits:- Rooms-all small and poky The breakfast same every day, not the best quality, you queue up for coffee. Pool area bleak, no pool service, in fact nothing there at all, nowhere to get a drink of any description, most odd. A/C in rooms poor Beach bar soulless, looks like Ikea! Food expensive on site We had a nice time but it's lacking in is many ways. To get to a 4 Star rating they need to make so many improvements.

A beautiful hotel and property, with a fantastic staff. The private beach is perfect along with the pool area. The food in the breakfast buffet, and its location was a nice way to start the day. In my opinion this is thee place to stay if travelling to Alghero. We got upgraded to a beach side main floor room with a spacious patio and really appreciated that!! As with a lot of Italian hotels, we didn't have a coffee maker in the room, so that wasn't a big deal considering all the benefits of staying here. From what I understand we could have had a tea kettle and tea brought to the room, but we're Canadians and we love our coffee, lol!!

The staff was very friendly and responsive. Although the property was clean, the beach is nothing like they show on their site. The beach is extremely small and is surrounded by rocks of both sides. We were hoping to stay at a resort with a beach that Sardinia is known for... this was not the place to experience that.

Staff were amazing friendly. Location is stunning. Having to insert your room key for electricity is stupid.

Absolutely beautiful location with a gorgeous private beach. Soft sand, Crystal clear water and great snorkelling. You will battle to beat this position. Good wifi and views at dinner are amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. We would have given it 5 stars but had a gripe with how inflexible they were to accommodate our needs as a family. We paid €100 to reserve our sunbeds on the front row but we’re told that a family of three could only have two sunbeds and a chair? My 14 year old daughter is 5 foot 8. The bed was not that much bigger than the chair but the chair was very uncomfortable. There were sunbeds available but they refused to help us stating all sorts of reasons, none of which made any logical sense. So we took turns to be uncomfortable. Kinda ruined what was supposed to be a special experience. Personally I feel you should not charge for a service that is not going to meet guests needs. We were offered a refund if we took two beds and chair (still not three beds) off the sand at the back?🤷‍♀️ So we remained in the front row but left feeling rather disappointed. My Dad owned hotels and in my experience of great service you accommodate/meet guest needs you don’t tell the guests what they can have! Policies should have clear reasoning that makes sense. Another tip it is 20 min outside of Alghero and a return taxi is 55 euros. So budget carefully.
