It is located in Nakasu which is close to the famous yatai area (food stall), within 5-10 minutes walking distance to Tenjin, the major business and shopping area. The Hotel is clean and the room size is good for 2 persons indeed, love the public bath which rejuvenates me after walking for a whole day. There is Donki, supermarket, drugstore and lots of restaurants around, very convenient to travellers. They even gave me a small sweet for my birthday, lovely!

The location is ok, room is ok, service is ok. A very average hotel that is a bit overpriced. The public bath area is always crowded. Easy walk to 中洲屋台.

The hotel is super close to the Airport Line. Just exit the subway, walk to the intersection, turn right, look up, and you'll see the 'HOTEL' sign – that's the one! It's a stylish and charming place. Around 4:30 PM, the lobby was quite busy with guests, but check-in was quick and seamless. Due to a change in plans, I extended my stay for another night. However, I still had to go through the check-in process again, and my request to keep the same room made communication a bit challenging. The hotel staff seemed to be exclusively Japanese speakers, so I was really grateful for an elderly gentleman who spoke Japanese and helped facilitate the conversation with the front desk. (Turns out, the front desk actually had a very useful translation device!) The double room wasn't huge but was perfectly adequate. The sofa by the window was more comfortable for one person, so when I returned late and craved a snack, I had to carefully eat it while perched on the edge of the bed. I stayed for 4 nights and had planned to try the hot spring bath on the 13th floor on my last evening. To my dismay, it was still quite crowded around 10 PM. Upon departure, I received a birthday card and a small gift – such a warm and lovely gesture! 😘 This will definitely be my top choice for a hotel when I visit Fukuoka again.

Check-in was at 3 PM. We registered, dropped off our bags, and went out to explore. When we returned, we simply collected our room key, as our suitcases had already been delivered to our room. The hotel was very clean, and the hot spring bath was wonderfully relaxing. There are ice machines and drink vending machines available on three floors within the building. A great example of their excellent service was when I accidentally left my sunglasses after checking out; the hotel staff kept them safe until I could retrieve them. The hotel's location is fantastic. It's surrounded by affordable restaurants like Kura Sushi (conveyor belt sushi), Matsuya, and Matsunoya. Popular ramen spots like Ichiran are also just a short walk away. The airport line subway station is incredibly convenient, only about 100 meters from the hotel – it's just four stops to the airport and two stops to Hakata. Tenjin, with restaurants like Shin-Shin ramen and a Uniqlo store, is also just a ten-minute walk away.

The location was incredibly convenient. After exiting Nakasu-Kawabata subway station, you'll immediately spot the distinctive Matsuya restaurant on a prominent corner of the intersection. A quick glance around from there and you'll easily see the hotel building. Plus, there's a large Don Quijote discount superstore directly above the subway station – a great bonus! As we were only staying for two nights, we opted for the most basic room. It had a window, was roughly 20 square meters, and offered enough space to comfortably open two, possibly even three, medium-sized suitcases. The king-size bed was also quite generous by Japanese standards. Soundproofing was decent, though we occasionally heard some noise from the hallway. The hotel features a communal bath, but unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to experience it. The front desk staff were fluent in English, but their Chinese was limited. Japanese hotels typically offer basic housekeeping services. We also noticed that the cleaning staff were primarily Indian gentlemen. Therefore, it's advisable to temper your expectations regarding room cleaning.

It's definitely worth staying at least one night in Fukuoka. The location is superb, right by the subway and just a stone's throw from the original Ichiran Ramen Main Store. You can even pop over in the early hours to beat the lines. The spacious public bath on the upper floor is also wonderfully relaxing. A quick tip: While the breakfast often gets good reviews, I found it pretty average. Don't bother paying extra for the breakfast package. There are so many fantastic dining options nearby; it would be a real shame to waste stomach space (and money!) on a mediocre hotel breakfast.

For our 6-day trip to Fukuoka, we stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Aside from the first three nights where we couldn't get rooms on the same floor as our elderly family members, which was a bit inconvenient, everything else was pretty good. Hotel Facilities: Quite new. Room Size: We could open our large suitcases, but the space at the foot of the bed felt a bit cramped when two people tried to pass each other. Room Cleanliness: I brought my own alcohol wipes and gave everything a quick clean, and thankfully, there was no noticeable dirt or grime. Service: Standard Japanese service – always greeted with smiles, and they even helped us take our luggage to our room. Location: Excellent. Just around the corner, you'll find the Ichiran main branch, a convenience store, drugstores (like Kyuuan), and a subway entrance. It's about a 10-minute walk to the neighboring shopping districts, which makes taking a taxi feel a bit unnecessary/wasteful.

Our triple room felt a little cramped, and the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. On the plus side, the location was quite convenient; it's just a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Nakasu Subway Station. The Ichiran Ramen main store is nearby, but during our 4-day stay, there was always a queue, so we decided to give it a miss. We eventually had Ichiran at Hakata Station. Takashimaya, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and Don Quijote are also close by, making shopping very convenient. The hotel offers a hot spring bath and laundry service on the 13th floor, which I highly recommend.

The hotel location is very good. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Although the room is a little bit small, the hotel is comfortable and clean.

Mitsui Nakasu Hotel is currently my top choice hotel whenever I visit Fukuoka. Its main advantages are its excellent location, close to Tenjin District, Canal City, and the subway. There are many bars, restaurants, and shopping stores (such as Donki) nearby, making it very convenient. Highly recommended.

However, I did notice one downside—the bathtub was clogged with hair, which was quite unpleasant. Better maintenance in this area would improve the experience. Despite this issue, the hotel’s prime location, efficiency, and cleanliness make it a solid option for visitors to Fukuoka. I would stay again, but hope for better bathroom upkeep next time!
