Las Terrazas de Abama Suites

This has been the worst experience I have ever had in a 5 star hotel! Upon arrival three out of 4 bathroom sinks were completely broken!!! Something completely noticeable (we noticed it in the first 5 mins when we went to wash our hands upon arrival) so I have no idea how they could not have fixed the problem before checking in new guests in the room! I had to have the handy man twice in the villa to change a piece in every sink!!! Very relaxing experience!!!!! It took me three calls to the reception to be able to talk to a manager about this!!! Then two days after I found a big chunk of hair with dust (something that was probably stuck behind the bathroom or something) in one of the toilettes when they had come to clean the room that day! And then today the housekeeping had not even bothered to clean the kitchen!!!!honestly if they have not made the bed and put new towels in the bathroom I would have thought the room was not cleaned at all!!!!!! In addition to this the shuttle service they offer to the beach is a joke as well! we called to be picked and was told it will take them 10/12 mins to come pick us up 20 mins after he came but picked up another family and told us he will be back in 10 mins (it’s a less than 5 min drive up and then 5 min max to come back) 3 more calls and thirty minutes later he came back with another family down and finally we were picked up after 50 mins!!!!! The worst part is that it looks like the management of the hotel doesn’t really care about client satisfaction! I have called them about an hour ago after we came back to a complete mess of an apartment which apparently was cleaned and they said they would call me back and no one has been bothered to even call back and offer an explanation!!!

2 bed apts very nice with outside jacuzzi but not very private if you have people sitting outside next door in the garden, and the constant noose of motor bikes while sitting around the pool today Saturday 20/4/24 is maddening! Not a relaxing time at pool also could do with adults only quiet pool which there isn’t.

We loved our stay here - it suited us as a family perfectly. The tropical gardens and setting of the hotel is beautiful. It’s quiet and peaceful and the views are amazing! The choice of three pools was nice and we swam in all three. We self-catered most of the time, which worked ok. Limited choice of restaurants on site. You definitely need a car to travel. We used the hotel shuttle down to the beach a couple of times which was very convenient. The Abama beach was very good, not too busy and ideal for our boys. The hotel staff were very friend and helpful. Everywhere was clean, modern and tidy. Housekeeping and grounds staff do a fantastic job. We would definitely return here if we came back to Tenerife Thank you for a wonderful and memorable holiday!

Yet another fantastic stay at Las Terrazas, it is rapidly becoming our favourite resort in Tenerife. We stayed for 10 nights and was upgraded to a wonderful two bed at the top of the hill, it was brilliant. I would like to say a massive thanks to the reception team for the upgrade. The Staff are friendly, helpful and professional an asset to the resort, all the plaudits are well deserved. It is the place we completely relax and recharge and will return repeatedly.

The good: - Beautiful apartments (we stayed in Apt 1309, 3 bed sea view, very top floor the hill). Immaculate and huge with 3 great en suite bedrooms, kitchen, diner, lounge and massive balcony. Cleaned daily, great blinds that make for dark rooms that keep kids asleep! - Service. Especially Thomas the shuttle driver who was amazing and delivered some cookies to the kids. Across the resort everyone was lovely and really helpful. - Pool at Las Gardines is lovely. It is not advertised as something you can use, but you can ask the shuttle to take you up and can use the pool which is warmer than the rest. - Food is good at Melvin restaurant, breakfast has a wide range of food and you can order fresh bread to take away. Food and drink on site if expensive as you would imagine) breakfast for 2adukts/2 children = €80, dinner around €200. The less good: - pools are freezing. We were unlucky with the weather being mixed but it was still 22 degrees, but our 3 year old couldn’t survive longer than 5 minutes Overall it is a lovely place and would highly recommend.

This was nearly a perfect holiday - apartment was perfect clean and well kept - All round the restaurants were well attended to and the food was very good However be careful when you go down to the pool, the lifeguards are no where to be seen - when eventually I went looking for them I found them lying in a bed at the back room where the towels are held When I brought this to the attention at reception- they said they are hired from outside and yes they are a problem overall but really they can’t do anything about then There’s a lifeguard chair but no one sits in them - disguarded towels are strewn all over the place Please this is 5 star resort sort the problem please

It is our fourth time of staying in the Abama Suites and we have two more visits already planned. Frankly you cannot beat this place for luxury, service, facilities and overall experience. It is, and will remain, our go to, happiest place. Thank you to Giulia, Julio, Ivan, Natalia and all for helping make our holiday yet again perfect.

We had a great experience here, our second visit. It provides the flexibility of the spacious serviced apartment with washing/ drying machine and kitchen facilities . The breakfast was very good, varied and plentiful. Thanks in particular to the breakfast team headed by Melania and Adina. All the staff were helpful and friendly, reception desk were attentive on arrival and kept arranging the efficient shuttle service to the beach and booking Ritz Carlton hotel and on site restaurants. Google Map currently gives inaccurate directions from the airport for the approach to the Terazzas.
