Arrived a bit worn and dusty after a hot 120km ride to this charming little oasis. The friendly and welcoming staff popped out to buy some cold beers and we relaxed on the veranda on a shady side street to recover.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, simple and reasonably sized. Comfortable bed, great shower, new a/c.
The location is great for the city sights
Highly recommend their tour guide Robert - a complete star! Arranged boat trip, cable car ride, transport, etc and stopped at local market on the way back from Yangshuo to buy materials to pack our bikes for the high-speed train back to Hong Kong. He even joined us at the train station the next morning to make sure we had no problems boarding. Can’t thank him enough!
The hotel staff also helped with packing tape, a couple of old bedsheets and lots of enthusiasm . A party on the pavement!
Also highly recommend Black Pepper Indian restaurant a short Didi (or 30 min walk) from hotel. One of the best curries I’ve had anywhere, ever!
