GGuest UserI had a secluded beach tour, and Ayapura Hotel perfectly matched my criteria. Others have mentioned it's a bit old, but everything is wonderfully maintained. The grounds are being updated, the rooms are huge, and I love the wooden floors. It's all incredibly clean – I can't even remember the last time I saw such pristine, soft towels that are changed daily. The balcony/terrace is very spacious, with two sun loungers with soft mattresses and a comfy armchair, which was really convenient (I haven't encountered sun loungers on a balcony before!). We stayed in the Krishna building. There's a cool pool with a built-in bar, and an abundance of sun loungers both by the pool and on the beach – there are more relaxation spots than guests! The restaurant is good, and the breakfasts are delicious, with new dishes every day and plenty of seafood. Kayaks and SUPs are provided free of charge, so you can paddle out for snorkeling or to a wild sandy beach. You're essentially living within a national park, which is captivating. Peacocks roam around like domestic chickens; on the first day, I followed them everywhere, taking photos. We loved that you can call for a buggy to your room, and they'll take you anywhere on the property, whether it's to the restaurant, the beach, or the lobby. Others have already mentioned the shuttle service to the supermarket and White Sand Beach, and I can confirm it – you can even ask to go at off-peak times and have them wait for you. The reception area has a game room with billiards, foosball, basketball, and more. This is rare and a great touch for entertainment in such a remote hotel (I didn't visit the gym). I'm happy to answer any questions.

1️⃣ We booked a twin room, but they only had king rooms. The staff proactively added an extra bed for us, and we received a complimentary box of delicious chocolates upon check-in.
2️⃣ Breakfast was incredibly rich, varied, and delicious. It also felt very organic; for instance, all yogurts came with fresh fruit and were sugar-free, and all juices were freshly squeezed.
3️⃣ The room itself was just average, nothing spectacular. But given that it's a new hotel, it's understandable.
4️⃣ The outdoor beach and pool areas were lovely, and the kids really enjoyed them. My only minor gripe is the lack of a water slide.
5️⃣ The hotel is very photogenic, perfect for beautiful photos.
6️⃣ It's widely regarded as one of the top two hotels on the island.

During my stay at this resort, I was pleased with the cleanliness and its location in a relatively peaceful area on the island. However, I must mention that the quality of food offered at the resort did not meet my expectations. Fortunately, there were excellent dining options available just outside the resort, including the Mexican restaurant ”Amigos” which stood out with its fantastic service and delicious cuisine. On the downside, the front desk service at the resort fell short of providing a satisfactory experience, improvements are needed in terms of food quality and front desk service.

DDidthatkingeixstThis was my first visit to Koh Chang. The location is quite convenient and other amenities well prepared for single bed room. The food is good but the resturant is quite far from the hotel which means you have to ask a cart from place to place throung they have many project in one area. Staff was very helpful. I think it is worth money to stay here even if you want to go outside the hotel or not. Also the beach is very private and clean.

GGuest UserNice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

YYUYANGThe hotel is the same as in the photos, lovely newly refurnished pool area, beach right in front of the hotel is absolutely a bonus.
However, I have to complaint on the awful service Trip.com provided. I booked a simple thai double room. However, The room I checked in is completely different to the photos Trip.com provided. It's absolutely a cheat. Basically, the photos shown on Trip.com for simple thai, is actually a Local Thai room, which's a newly refurbished room. However, Just be aware that the Simple Thai is the old room. (Please refer to the photo I uploaded for the Local Thai room)
During my stay, I have tried all the means I could to get in touch with Trip.com and try to resolve the issue. But they didn't meet their promise to change my room neither, and it's totally a ridiculous experience with Trip.com customer service.

KKhant Soe NaungThe Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway is a solid 4-star resort located in Bai Lan Bay. As the name ”Hideaway” suggests, it is secluded, peaceful, and removed from the busy party areas. It is an excellent choice if you want privacy, relaxation, and great swimming pools, but it is not the best choice if you want to swim in the ocean directly from the hotel beach.
Key Features
• Location: It is located at Bai Lan Bay, which is south of the popular ”Lonely Beach.” It is very quiet. To find nightlife or a variety of street food, you will likely need to take a taxi or rent a motorbike to drive about 5-10 minutes to Lonely Beach or Kai Bae.
• The Beach: Important Note: The hotel has a private beachfront, but it is quite rocky. It is beautiful for sunsets and relaxing on bean bags, but it is generally not suitable for swimming due to the rocks.
• Pools: To make up for the rocky beach, the hotel has two excellent swimming pools. One is a large free-form pool by the ocean, which is very popular with guests.
• Rooms: The resort offers a range of rooms from Standard to Private Pool Villas. The rooms are generally reviewed as spacious and modern with Thai influences. The Pool Villas are highly recommended for couples seeking privacy.

HHUMINThe hotel did not include breakfast, the hotel looked very stylish, the room was okay, the location was good, there was a lot of food around, but the hotel room had mold and odor, and there was a serious mold odor when we entered the room. It's the same for both rooms, and then requesting another room is the same. The order cannot be cancelled, so it can only be sent for one night.
