"I was on a work trip and stayed here for a week. It was a good location close enough to the center but also at a good distance if you prefer non-touristy travelling like me. The person at the receptionist guided me to some good local restaurants nearby. The guard and housekeeping person were also very supportive to me with laundry. The balcony is noisy since its the main road which is normal. I enjoyed early mornings and late night at the balcony watching people go about their day. The balcony door blocks out the noise when you're in the room. I wish there was a small fan provided, in case you want to turn off the AC sometimes. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay. I had a nice conversation with the guard while waiting for my cab via Google translate. I'm glad I chose this apartment for my trip. I will come stay again if I have the chance to. Here are some things you could try at walking distance from this apartment - Long Waits Jazz Club, Èp Station coffee (opp the apt), Lermalemer Cafe (if you want a quaint reading/work time or even a nap), Bun Cha Sin Tu (for bun cha), Van Mieu (Temple of Literature)."

What can I say about this wonderful hidden gem called Evelyn Indochine Chic? The location is fantastic – close to the Old Quarter, yet far enough from the noise, dust, and chaos. The room was clean and new, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and even had a small kitchen. Truly excellent value for money.
But what makes this place a solid 5-star experience is the HOST. Absolutely amazing and incredibly helpful. I received clear check-in instructions with photos, which made arrival hassle-free. The host also provided great recommendations – from the best money changers to reliable tour agents.
I forgot to bring an adapter, and the host went out of their way to buy the exact one I needed. They were always available whenever I needed advice or suggestions.
What really stood out to me was the message I received from the host, informing me that it was going to rain and suggesting I take one of the umbrellas provided by the hotel. Now that’s next-level service! If you are a solo traveler, you will feel very safe and well taken care of. If you're looking for a comfortable, value for money and quiet stay with exceptional hospitality, Evelyn is the place to be.
My only disappointment is that our room is on the lower floor, the balcony is facing the roof of another building.

SSalananamExcellent apartments/hotel rooms with everything you need. Our room was one with a fitted kitchen which we didn’t use but definitely useful for people staying a little longer. Bathroom was good quality with good water pressure and very hot water when needed. The washing machine in every room thing is super useful if you need to catch up with a few bits, or like us have a flight to Australia and need to ensure everything is clean for bio-security checks. The outside area with the washing machine and clothes hanger for drying also has the invertor fan for the AC meaning it gets super hot out there and clothes dry in just an hour or two.
Reception staff spoke excellent English and were very professional and helpful, even gave us an extended check out to help us get stuff packed.
The area is a very cool area of old Hanoi with plenty of shops and restaurants filling the streets surrounding, providing an authentic feel for what I would say is still a quiet area of Hanoi to retreat to.

Rryne.srjno problem with cleanliness, nice little balcony, too good for the price. there's also a projector to watch movie. the only thing that was not the same was that there was no washing machine as shown in the photo.
a tip is to get Zalo first and contact the homestay via Zalo. they also allow you to check in around 30 min-1 hr early. some good sticky rice and supermarket nearby.

DDil007You get what you paid for, my opinion this might be the best 3 star hotel with the lowest price and the location is great. Try not to get lured by taxis charging too much, just use Grab otherwise you will end up paying 4 times more than what the airport transfer rates are.

GGuest UserI extended my stay several times and stayed for about a month. There were no particular problems and it was comfortable. The ceiling in the room was high, so the air conditioner was not very effective. However, if you set the air conditioner to swing, it worked well. Wifi sometimes cuts off or is weak, but it will return to normal if you turn the router off and on again. Organic* and drinks are sold by the reception desk.

We were deceived in another hotel, where we booked an apartment for 2 weeks and we had to go to the luxe paradise residence right at 3 am!! We woke up the security guard and he, having called the owner of the hotel, placed us in the lobby on the sofas inside the hotel for the night. And in the morning we were urgently checked into an already paid room at 12 am!
Thanks to this hotel for entering into our situation and not kicking us out!
Our request for the room is an additional second bucket in the room, because there is one in the toilet. A third towel in addition to the two for the body would also be useful. Also, the water is not very warm and remains cool at night

GGuest UserI absolutely loved my stay here! The location was perfect—close enough to walk to everything. The café downstairs was a real gem, and having a small supermarket just a short walk away made it super convenient for picking up essentials like water and snacks.
The apartment matched the listing perfectly—bright, spacious, and exactly what I needed. I especially appreciated having a washer and dryer in the laundry room downstairs, which made my stay even more comfortable. Staff were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

GGuest UserI really liked the location of this place in how it is near a lot of food, fruit, and vegetable stands. I also liked how it is near a lot of mini stores where I can go pick up things that I need. Owner is very nice and loans me things that I needed. She is very respectful to me calling me sir. Hotel maid was very friendly to be around. I like how there was a portable convection stove for me to cook things with. I like how there were silverware, chopsticks, and dishes that I can use to eat my food with. Very good deal to use the washer where it only costs 20,000 dong for the first time and free for additional uses. I liked how it was near that big Winmart grocery store.
Hotel room was very clean. I liked how it had this small space where I can hang my clothes up to dry which was perfect because it was directly underneath the air conditioning unit of the room upstairs where it gives off the heat which dries it faster. Hotel always has a fresh clean set of towels available whenever I need it. Hotel always has toilet paper available whenever I need it.
The only thing that I didn't like was that now and then, there are spiders, where I had to kill 2 of them. I also had to deal with a big spider on my last day. I am somebody that has a fear of spiders.
I might comeback to this hotel in August, September, or beginning of next year when I comeback towards Hanoi in Vietnam and the situation fits for me.
