The female staff remembered the room I asked before and responded immediately. The staff was very good, but the room was dusty and sorry. The level where the kusami did not stop all the time. The body sponge was deteriorating, and the hole was empty and many were uncomfortable. It is a common type of sponge in a business hotel, but I saw such a deteriorated sponge for the first time. I have been taken care of by this hotel many times, but it is the first time that it is terrible. There is a clear problem with hygiene.

From the former local people, I was able to stay at the ”health pension hall”? The image of the hall is strong, but it feels like a cheap price zone in the pack tour now. It is close to Peace Park, but the location is halfway and the city trams are not available. I was travelling with a group, so I didn't choose it myself. The location is excellent. It is close to the Peace park, a big shopping mall/area and the stop for the streetcar/tram. The is a supermarket and a bakery close by. I stayed in the New Ikawa building. The building has both stairs and an elevator. The rooms are nice and clean. We had a traditional room with futons. There are nog regular chairs or something, but there was a floortable and some cusions. They offered complementary shampoo, bodywash and conditioner. And you could borrow the provided nightshirts. You can ask for the staff not to clean the room and they will leave out clean towels and such. If have problems with getting up or sitting on the floor, this place is not for you. The staff is nice. There is small area where you can sit, but no additional place to eat as you can't use the dinning area or the microwave for your own food. I recommend a stay at this ryokan!

Had a sumptuous one night stay here, introducing the family to the ryokan experience. Check-in was gracious and easy, the family room was a good size (for Japan!) and the air conditioning in August was super-frosty. All facilities clean, with yukatas all round including little ones for the kids at reception. A sobering view of the A-bomb dome across the road, secreted behind trees providing kind cover. The onsen was hot and very welcome after all that walking. Traditional breakfast was a feast-like experience and the pickled plums turned our heads inside-out. Had a friendly chat with the owner as we checked out - a big Carp fan - that rounded off a very pleasant traditional stay.

First of all, the sense is very good. There are two outlets on the bedside and several photographs. The photographs were all nice, I liked the warmth of the lights, the arrangement of the basket and the lamp, all. It is also a happy point to have a window. It seems to be an ordinary house and the lounge is also small. This is apart style accommodation. No housekeeping during my stay (less than 7 days). Room was equipped with full kitchen (but no oven), fridge freezer, microwave, IH cook top, all utensils and dishes. Dish washing detergent. Bathroom equipped with standard Japanese bathroom (tub and shower), washing machine with washing detergent. Clothing can be dried with bathroom drier function. Garbage bag is provided for length of stay and discard of by the guest. Rubbish point is just outside the building. In-house guests can pick some teas, coffee and bathroom amenities such as comb and tooth brushes at the reception area. Sound proof is good. Basically no reception staff on the spot, reception staffs are available via video call. Check in is self service. The accommodation is in quiet neighbourhood area although located just walking distance from Hiroshima peace memorial park. There are convenience store and small supermarket nearby, this not too inconvenient. Nearby street car (tram) station is less than 10 minutes by walk. Great luxury choice for long stayer.

The price is really cheap, 10 minutes walk from Yokogawa Station. Downstairs is 711 for the whole family. Attractions are not afraid of trouble to walk for 10 minutes to the city center. The disadvantage is that there is no curtain in this room, the hotel does not have an elevator, in fact, it is a hotel converted into an apartment in Japan, and the water flow in the bath is so small. Check-in is basically self-service, stayed for 3 days, except to see the young lady who cleaned in the morning, did not see anyone at the front desk.
