GGuest UserThis was our first time vacationing in Xiamen, Fujian. Due to short time confirmation , we had to confirm the hotel accommodation in midnight . But this guesthouse was surprised.
First, it’s located on 37th floor with a sea view, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The unique unit features a large indoor bathtub, which is quite impressive. The room is equipped with a projector, a Dyson hairdryer, and an automatic toilet. The bathroom shower has stable hot and cool water with powerful pressure. The guesthouse service was sufficient to meet the needs of two people; since our trip was 3 days and 2 nights, they provided extra daily necessities and toiletries. They also gave special recommendations for nearby takeout food options and transportation, so there was no worry about being unfamiliar with the area.
Some key points need to be considered, if you are visiting Xiamen Island mainly for sightseeing and have specific time and transport requirements, you might need to make some compromises. Besides calling a taxi, the only option is the Bus Rapid Transit (BTR) and going out takes more than an hour or even longer. The BRT is often crowded with no seats available, and calling a taxi costs over RMB 70 one way for two days.
I was very satisfied with the vacation. The room was distinctive, and other units even have family-friendly facilities. It was quiet and comfortable, with a long beach nearby suitable for cycling and other activities.

GGuest UserOnly those who understand Gulangyu will choose this place. Located in the center of the island, not in the bustling downtown, it is convenient and free from the hustle and bustle of the commercial city. Needless to say, Chuncaotang is beautiful. Chuncaofan is from the same family as it. Just below Chuncaotang, Gulangyu's only open-air swimming pool and sightseeing elevator were moved into his private residence. Here you can feel the comfortable, refined and elegant life of our ancestors. It is very worthwhile, and I also want to give a big thumbs up to the housekeeper👍

WWangxiaopianerThe young man with glasses provided excellent service—he helped with luggage, answered all our questions, and was very accommodating. The hotel offers luggage delivery, but the timing wasn't convenient. We couldn't wait, so we ended up carrying our bags ourselves, which was quite a struggle. The navigation on Gulangyu Island is really inaccurate; if you don't follow the route provided by the hotel, it'll lead you up a mountain. I also have to mention that the hotel breakfast was really good. The 'mianxian hu' (vermicelli paste) and 'bianshi' (wontons) were incredibly delicious, even better than what we had at the old shops on the main island.
I booked this room for my friend, and I'm including my review as well!

AAnonymous UserOur stay was truly amazing — if the full score is 100, I would honestly give it 200! The room was exceptionally clean, and the host personally checked everything again even after the cleaning lady finished. The host was warm, generous, and always attentive. During check-in, she even shared helpful travel tips and recommended places to visit, which made our trip so much easier.
Every day, they asked whether we needed room cleaning or a cup of coffee, which made us feel very well taken care of.
The flowers and garden were personally maintained by the host, so the environment was beautiful and welcoming. The location was also incredibly convenient — just downstairs, there were plenty of food options, and even late at night, we could easily walk out for supper.
Overall, from the location to cleanliness to the host’s hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place!

GGuest UserThe room is super, super, super spacious, a one-bedroom apartment with two large beds. I used the bathtub directly; it was very clean and well-stocked with toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the shower gel smelled great! The best part is it comes with its own garden, a cafe courtyard, and a pool. It felt just like being on vacation in Puerto Rico! The location is on a hillside, a quiet oasis in the bustling city center. Perfect for a holiday retreat~ I'll definitely be back this year!

CCuarrowThis place is all about location! Out of lobby, road junction turn left and you are at Ba Shi (八市) and turning right you are heading towards Zhongshan Road pedestrian walk (中山路步行街）. It was easy to hail a taxi in front of the hotel too. Airport is around 20-40mins away to the hotel. Once out of the hotel, there is food aplenty and a 7-11 just across the junction. The front desk staffs are all friendly and willing to help and a pleasure to chat with. Rooms are small but clean and the cleaning lady is a delight as well. Always with a smile when I see her.
I enjoyed the washer and dryer amenity as I was there for a week and washing powder / detergent is provided. Open from 9am - 10pm.
I do find the window view not much of a view. This is the old district, so buildings are looking their age. The toilet flushing is quite loud and if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs.
My mom enjoyed the firm bed whilst I would have preferred a softer one.
Photos on website are the same as what you see. I attach photo of washer, my window view （I see another window) and view from rooftop access.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse has a beautiful exterior and is easy to find; the pictures sent by Sister Fang made it very easy to locate. The room was cozy and clean, fully furnished, and very comfortable. Sister Fang was very kind and considerate. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and the place was very well cleaned. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

Yyura_zhouThe location is incredibly convenient, right next to Zhongshan Road, with tons of food options just outside the door. The room, though not large, is very well designed and has all the necessary amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. Getting such a great B&B at this price was a pleasant surprise; it's excellent value for money. The customer service guy was also super nice, always responding promptly and patiently. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area!

KKtravelerIll offer constructive criticism to the boss of this private apartment in Vanke, yes, its nice, comfortable, location is close to North railway if your main purpose is to catch train next day as it was mine, but what ruins it is the Chinese boss who messages you in Trip.com first and doesn't really have your booking information, you need to clearly give him the name and phone number you used to book, he will try to call you but if you dont speak Chinese it will make the check in process a nightmare process, we exchanged messages for almost,30-45 minutes until finally i had Trip.com Support service contact him and he gave them his wechat number to add him and then continue the process, he asks right away to send him your Passport and Selfie to register you with the PSB Police, however getting to that point took almost 30 mins where most check in hotels takes 3-5 minutes, so, if you don't mind waiting and waiting to check in.your room after a long tiring day of travel then book this homestay apartment and enjoy the ordeal of lost in translation and telling you to ”find some other house if you are feeling anxious”
