Breakfast was average, clean, and close to the night market. Due to the nature of the dormitory, it was noisy until late at night (especially the couple dormitory beds), and there were people who were inconsiderate and turned on the room lights while everyone else was sleeping, so I guess that can't be helped.

The Youth Hostel is located near the Kaohsiung Beautiful Island MRT Station and is only a 3-minute walk away. Adjacent to the famous Liuhe Tourist Night Market, the surrounding life is excellent and the transportation is convenient.

Choose this hostel because check in time 3pm. Like the security system & cleaneses. Big common area for guests to hang around. Hear that hostel boss are Japanese. However, feel that most traveller don't like social with others. Maybe this is post covid situation at Taiwan?

Hostel is located directly at the Houyi Metro Station (SMEs) in the 10th floor of the bank. All attractions are therefore easily accessible by bus and rail. Drink automatic for guests in the residence area overday free. Personnel was very premature and helped with all the questions that arose. I would come back at any time 👍👍

Please read the emails sent after booking. Check-in is done online (LINE, Facebook, etc.), but the information is written in the email. If you ignore this, you will not be able to enter even if you arrive in front of the entrance on the day of your stay. Basically, there is no hostel staff in the building, so it is impossible to knock on the door. If you don't have the password sent at online check-in, it will be clogged. It was comfortable inside. The room was clean and had an elevator. If there is a difficulty, there are only three showers in the building, it is small, and there is no microwave in the kitchen. Other than that, it was generally comfortable.

CcclchlorineReally glad i picked this hotel to stay in Kaohsiung! It is near Kaohsiung main station (a big part of the station is under renovation as of August 2024 so the walk from the station is longer as we have to walk a larger loop compared to just walking straight out to the hotel - the hotel faces the main station directly btw). Nonetheless the hotel room is clean and spacious. The bed is larger than what I thought (feels more like a king bed for a double bed!) so that’s a huge plus. The hotel staff were really friendly and kind (living up to the hotel’s name), and we have access to the lounge area which includes free drinks and ice cream + some small snacks! I think these little things really add up to make the stay very pleasant! I would want to come back here next time I’m back in Kaohsiung!

The only drawback is that when I went to bed at night, I noticed a constant buzzing sound, like the sound of electrical equipment. I turned off the bathroom exhaust and air conditioner, but the sound was still there, making it difficult to sleep.

GGuest UserThe place is ok. The staff is just ok, I can't say they are too good either. They have a non-sense pedantic rule that you must collect your dishes and put them in a tray place. I felt like I am in McDonalds or in a trashy human factory. Meanwhile the staff are sitting doing nothing. As a guest, when I go to a hotel I want to relax, I have enough with tidying up and cleaning things at home, the least thing I want at a hotel is doing the same. Breakfast itself is ok but milk tea is EXTREMELY sweet and no milk tea option without sugar so if you do not wanna get diabetes type B you won't be able to enjoy breakfast. The rest is mostly very high carbs suggary or fried fatty stuff except a small salad buffet and scrambled eggs. There was no coffee during my stay as coffee machine was broken so cannot rate it. Checkin should be conveniently done with a kiosk downstairs but when I came it was broken too. The place feels comfortable and private. Water has only BOILING HOT water. So it does not have a mixer so you can shower for the first minute, then water is boiling super hot and there is no way to mix it up with cold water or make temperature cold down. It is funny cause travelling around the world I found some countries where it is difficult to get hot water but first time in my life finding a hotel where it is difficult to get cold water. Location is just ok, it is a bit far from MRT but most staff is nearby.

TThe Happie HypnoOne of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Everything about the hotel was perfectly thought through and designed for the user experience. Located conveniently abiT off the main busy stretch but walking distance to lots of food and bars, a little longer walk and you would get into the main busy shopping stretch. The hotel was super thoughtful in the service and amenities they provided. There was 24hrs free coffee, tea and ice cream which was self service, a laundry room with free use of their washing machines and dryers - the staff would even help you to dry your stuff when the machine is done washing! There was a 24 hour reception which is manned by really polite and kind staff who are always there to answer your questions even at 1am! The room was well designed with all the amenities provided, from hair shampoo, conditioners, bath wash, moisturisers and even facial wash! The rooms are super clean and there was an in-room tap with reverse osmosis water for you to refill your water and boil tea with! The best part, the room also came with free breakfast which was pretty sumptuous for a simple hotel. The buffet spread of stir fried dishes, rice, porridge, soup (oh my god so good!) cereals, salads, coffee, teas and juices. The service was also really good. Unobtrusive and always polite. They are really efficient and nice. I would def stay here again if I come by!

GGuest UserMy friends, please note that check-in has to be at 4 o'clock, so we can only temporarily store our luggage. After going out and going back to the hotel to pick up the room, we only queued up to the 2nd floor. Then we suddenly found a red light near the top of the entrance washbasin. I was shocked and called the front desk later. The explanation is that it is air-conditioned and lighted. It is near the MRT exit. There are also convenience stores and supermarkets nearby.
