Avil OngA lovely ryokan located about 8 minutes drive from Kawaguchiko station. The ryokan provide shuttle bus during check in, to call upon arrival (I called via trip.com internet call) and wait at platform number 10 for pick up. They also provide free shuttle bus service to oishi park (schedule would be informed during checkingin), and free pick up from Kawaguchiko station everyday during our stay.
The staff were helpful and friendly English and mandarin speaking staff are available. The service was great, as this was my first time staying in a Japanese ryokan, so I wasn't sure if every ryokan provide the same service that there is a staff led us to our room and explained the amenities to us during checking in.
The breakfast and dinner was superb! We were so amazed by the breakfast and dinner everyday.
The room is equipped with fridge, ice water in jug, complimentary drinks and cookies, private shower, towels, hair dryer and outdoor slipper. You can wear yukata that was provided to move around the hotel.
The room window and restaurant is facing directly at lake Kawaguchiko, unfortunately it was cloudy during my stay and we couldn't catch any fujisan view.
There are indoor and outdoor onsen, with the outdoor onsen offering a Mount Fuji view. Changing room has locker but make sure u bring your room towel to the onsen. And like the other onsen in Japan, facial cleanser, hair shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available. The changing room is also equipped with facial cleanser, moisturiser, body lotion, hairdryer, and comb.

We stayed for one night in a large room with a private bathroom and shower. The hotel is quite old, but it has a certain charm. It was a bit chilly in the room in April, but the air conditioning with heating mode sorted that out. The ventilation in the bathroom isn't great, so it gets very humid, doesn't air out well, and things don't dry. The plumbing is old but functional. Our stay included access to the onsen. There are a few important things to note about it: tattoos aren't allowed unless covered with tape, and men and women bathe separately and completely nude. On the first floor, there's a complimentary bar with drinks like tea, coffee, juices, and sodas. The location is excellent: a 16-minute walk from the station and just 3 minutes to the lake with views of Mount Fuji. There's a bike rental nearby, but it's expensive; I'd recommend using other places closer to the station.

QingsonglvxingdexunlianjiaOn the way to the hotel, I saw Mount Fuji shrouded in clouds, and at Lake Kawaguchiko, I experienced my first ever fireworks festival and stayed at a hot spring hotel. The front desk at Hotel Regina had polite and friendly Chinese-speaking staff, as well as convenient and timely shuttle services to and from the station. The room was spacious and bright, and I could even gaze at Mount Fuji from the balcony. The hot spring water was warm and silky smooth, making my first visit comfortable and enjoyable. Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop on the first floor was a lifesaver, allowing me to pick up gifts even when I was rushing back. It was a novel and delightful stay, rejuvenating both my body and mind, and allowing me to truly enjoy the moment.

The hotel's front desk staff were warm and courteous, making us feel right at home. Our room had a direct view of Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms by the lake, which was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was included and suited everyone's taste. We also enjoyed the hot spring on the 6th floor. Plus, the hotel offered a complimentary shuttle service to the station, saving us a lot of hassle – truly excellent! The driver was incredibly nice too. This trip will be unforgettable!

lrd11The hotel's location is excellent. It's right by the lake, and the red line bus stop is practically at the doorstep, making it super convenient for getting around. You can even see Mount Fuji from your room! Breakfast was incredibly varied and served by room, so it never felt crowded. The onsen (hot spring) was also great; for just 900 JPY, you can enjoy it for free! The water was very hot though, so I couldn't stay in for too long.

This place is very close to Lake Yamanaka, and its off-street location makes it very quiet. If you're driving, you'll need to set your GPS to Yamanakako Post Office. The staff, especially the younger woman, was very polite and could communicate in both English and Mandarin. The whole place is a traditional Japanese ryokan with a bit of history. Don't expect it to be brand new, but it's clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. We booked room 102 with a garden, and we were so lucky to see a clear view of Mount Fuji on our first day! It was truly amazing to see it from our room. The only minor inconvenience was that you have to reserve a time slot for bathing. There are two private onsen rooms outside the guest rooms. When you reserve a slot, it becomes your private bath, complete with a shower area and a small indoor tub. They also provide a full range of amenities, including cleansing oil and facial wash. Overall, it's still a great choice! Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel with a view of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room is quite spacious, and the staff is very welcoming. The hotel has an onsen, which is essentially a sauna and a hot spring pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of cycling. We booked a room with breakfast and dinner included, both served buffet style. For those not used to eating fish, rice, and other Japanese cuisine in the morning, there are also European croissants, jams, and coffee available. For dinner, the buffet features unlimited crab, but you'll have to contend with the Japanese guests for the crab claws – it seemed to me they choose this hotel specifically for that reason! The cable car is just 30 meters from the hotel, which will take you up a small mountain with a great view of Mount Fuji. It's also quite close to the bus station, about a 10-12 minute walk.
