The situation, looking out over the Med is superb and only a few minutes cab ride from the airport. Staff are so friendly without ever being gushing or irritating and the place is kept immaculately clean all the time. Breakfast is a joy looking out over the sea and little touches make the place - and you - feel really special; the 'welcome back' bottle of bubbly in the room as you arrive, the chocolates at around 8.30 brought to your room, their willingness to give you a beach towel for the day. Nothing is problem. And then we get into real indulgence territory with the infinity pool on the roof. This was our fourth time here. We'll be back for sure.

The service: I was very much looking forward to staying at The Standard Ibiza due to its modern design and beautiful rooftop. This experience was soured by the treatment myself (American) and my friends (British) received from the staff at both restaurants. They did not hide the fact that they did not like English-speaking guests. We dined at the rooftop restaurant and Jara (floor level) multiple times and each time had a similar experience. The waiters would completely ignore us. We had to get up and track someone down to get a menu even after the bartender looked me straight in the eye and went about her business. We had to ask for drinks multiple times before we got them. Ask for our check several times. When we finally got up to ask the bartender for something she would respond with ”ask my colleague”. Tonight we dined at Jara and not once, not a single time did the waiter come to our table to take an order or ask if we needed anything. We had to get up and find him each time to get service. Meanwhile, he was attending to a family at the table next to us all night (Spanish speaking). I've honestly never experienced such poor service at a hotel, despite the fact that myself and my friends were extremely courteous and patient. We spoke Spanish as much as we could with the wait staff. It was just very obvious that they do not appreciate the business of English/American patrons (visible eye rolls and sh*t talking with each other). I witnessed another American guest have an altercation with the bartender when she asked for more ice in an iced latte. They are very stuck in their ways and unwilling to accommodate reasonable requests despite the high price we pay to stay there. The room: very modern and nice, however, the bathroom sink leaves no room for personal effects, and the bed shares a wall with the hallway, so you hear and feel the doors slamming day and night. Overall: It's a beautiful hotel, but I would not return after the treatment that we received. Many of the wait staff seemed like they hated their jobs.

This place was obviously old but very well updated and appointed. Some might call it quaint. The hotel staff was very accommodating, professional and pleasant, and for the most part spoke English well which made communication less of a challenge. We had a booking discrepancy which necessitated a larger room, fortunately we were able to move into the two bed premier unit which by my standards was very nice. The AC cooled the room off exceptionally well, the windows and balcony doors were all new with double insulated panes and sound trim insulation. The balcony overlooked the square which tended to be noisy throughout the night but not so much that sleep could not be attained. Obviously this facility has no control of people in the square. The rest of the room touted a nicely decorated and well designed living space, and a ceiling fan that could really move some air, the bathroom was newly redesigned and also very nice. Plenty of hot water, not that we needed it in this summer 2022 heat wave. Parking was a challenge, we rented a car when we arrived and street parking was nearly impossible. Lot parking was 38e/night. The upside is with a receipt the hotel reimbursed that expense which was a pleasant discovery. Would definitely stay here again. I had zero concerns or complaints about this hotel. Side note for other Americans contemplating to rent a car or not. I suggest that you do. Parking, though not convenient but reimbursed makes it worth it and getting around the island via one of maybe three taxis would be crazy expensive and not worth the time standing around wasting. Driving is easy after you realize how the roads are laid out IE mostly one ways, the triangles on the road mean you yield at that intersection AND pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way. Scooters and motorcycles will pass you up on the left and right so just keep an eye out. Once out of downtown Ibiza driving is much more relaxing and easy, the rest of the island is an easy and relatively care free cruise. The sunset at Cafe Del Mar is greeted with cheers nightly and an accompanying beat from the club. I would like to come back here again for a longer stay. A full month would suffice.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mirador Dalt Vila in Ibiza, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived until the time I checked out, everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the location of the hotel is simply breathtaking. Perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful town of Ibiza, the views from the Mirador Dalt Vila are absolutely stunning. Waking up to panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean Sea and the charming old town was a true delight. The hotel itself is a gem of luxury and elegance. Where do I begin. Let’s start with the positives…the location is central and the staff was very nice. The hotel however was awful. Run down, dirty, and way past its renovation date. We paid $2400/night for the “penthouse” which was borderline criminal. Filthy grout lines, burn marks on rug, weird bathroom setup with no counter space. There were countless items in the room such as lights and buttons that were broken. The view was nice but the patio was run down and parts of the deck falling apart. Beware this is not a 5 star hotel nor is the service. Our stay started with missing a connecting flight and missing the first night. We gave the hotel plenty of notice but they charged us full price and offered no concessions whatsoever despite me asking the manager if she would work with us if we extended our stay. Despite paying for the first night the room was 100 degrees when we arrived and took over an hour to cool down. It was infested with at least 5 flies. Lastly the pool setup is tiny and the restaurant very mediocre. We canceled as much of our stay as possible and moved down the street to a suite at the Gran Hotel for half the price.

My wife and I decided on a quick visit to Ibiza. We checked the location but otherwise just took the hotel we were given. This hotel was perfect. Locatiion was great. Right near a lovely beach with lovely restaurants and people to watch. Easy walk into the port area of Ibiza town. Hotel was clean, friendly and well run. We would definitely return, Rooms on the 5th floor and above have best views. Thanks

The service of the hotel is very good, because it was my birthday and honeymoon to say hello in advance, the hotel specially arranged the room for us. The service attitude of the hotel staff was super good, and the staff at the front desk gave us a lot of travel suggestions. The hotel is directly close to the sea, and it is very close to the city center. The old town and the seaside are basically walkable. Other areas can rent a car and set off on their own. If you have any needs, you can ask the front desk. There aren't many taxis, but they all have strongholds, which are located near the downtown harbor. Muchas gracias por ayudarnos y preparar todo para nosotros! El ambiente es perfecto y paisaje es guapísima! Pasamos luna de miel con Eurostar, era buena opinión. Los recepcionistas son muy amables y beneficios.

I have been Without Words. It is a hotel that is certainly dated in the furniture and nothing luxurious but comfortable , clean , very kind and friendly staff. Spacious room with a wonderful view directly on the sea despite my room was ” with side balcony” , it was equal to the seafront. Great. Large, spacious and bright bathroom, very clean ... is the first thing I went to see. The hotel is located in a strategic location , near the port , near the spectacular historic centre and the castle ... 15 minutes walk ...e directly on the beach and the sea wonderfully. I will recommend it thousand times. Breakfast is separate and is made in the next hotel .... a lady breakfast with all goods of God ..... The excursion ferries for Formentera (no baggage) are also going off in front of the hotel with excellent hours . The hotel was a great discovery.

Positive: very central, nice stuff, its clean Negative: i've been here 4 nights and was seriously thinking about changing my hostel after the first night. As a light sleeper, you're in hell here. Its SO LOUD, i can hear every single person in this hostal talking, banging doors, having S*x, doing whatever, it feels like the walls are made out of cardboard. And since there are people coming home at all times during the night and even the morning, i woke up a 100 times every night. The toilet right in front of my room was used by so many people during the night coming home from partying (even though it wasn't theirs to be used! ) and everyone was banging the door shut. Constraction work right outside the building starts early in the morning, so even if you found your sleep in the morning, it won't last long, believe me. Would never return to this place and dont recommend it.

We had 2 nights here on way to Formentera. We had a seaview room with a balcony which was amazing. Almost on the beach, fantastic views. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the food. Staff were friendly and rooms were spotless. Perfectly situated for restaurants and bars and some very good bakery/ cafes where we got breakfast just a couple of roads away. A 15 min walk away from centre and the castle, so perfect! Given hotel a 4* rather than a 5* as it is a little tired and worn in places but would definitely stay here again.

We have a very friendly and available staff, and we have given to our handbags, umbrellas and willingness to leave the baggage and enjoy the bathroom before departure. Location is good and hotel is very clean. A slight criticism and one you should be careful of us the number of sea view rooms. We booked a sea view but were originally given a room that faced the wall of the building next door … we were given a better room although were told it is very difficult!!! The breakfast was good and Miska on reception was very helpful with info. Remember this us Ibiza town and we were woken by clubbers going out and coming in during the early hours.
