"It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together."

"A wonderful hotel, which is difficult to notice from the street and with an inconspicuous sign. As expected, it was found and booked by chance and, alas, only for one night. Friendly staff, who met us with care and sent instructions before the meeting on what to do in case of arrival at an inopportune time. The rented tuk-tuk was driven to the back yard and before leaving, the staff themselves parked it next to the exit (considering the crazy traffic, a deep bow for this 😅). They guided us where to exchange dollars for rupees at a good rate. The room is gorgeous, two double beds for two were not that unusual, I'm just still wondering why they didn't limit themselves to one bed) The pool on the roof with a view of the city deserves special attention, unfortunately I can't rate the cuisine, we arrived late and had dinner in the city, and left early, limiting ourselves to coffee, but the overall impression is extremely positive"

"The staff was very good and clean hotel. The room is large and the hot water in the shower comes out firmly. It has a kitchen and is suitable for long stays, which is very good for this price. "The Good The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture. The Bad The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The Ugly Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort. Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides."

"Like the hotel, not big, quiet. It is situated on a hillside overlooking the city. The environment is beautiful, the old trees in the backyard are towering, the interior facilities of the rooms are perfect and new, and the location is remote, the paradise"

"Lovely view and soft, comfortable beds to sleep in for the night. The single, only problem I had was the waiter at the restaurant kept asking me, “are you okay, is everything good?” literally every 2 minutes. After saying “yes, thank you” multiple times, he stands there and starts a conversation, and once, just stands there and looks at me. The only thing I want to do is eat my food in peace. Lastly, after the only thing he brought me was a cappuccino (as it was a buffet so I fetch my own food), I gave a 1000 lkr tip. He was visibly upset with this and his over-friendliness completely disappeared. I didn’t dare to go back to the restaurant after this. Food was good, however!"

"The owner’s own house was changed, Sri Lanka’s local tyrant, two Land Rover. At the top of the mountain, the top floor bar is really view360. The only problem is that the curtains of the roller blinds are almost shaded. Chef is super good! ! ! Chef is super good! ! ! To be honest, the room is just like that. There is not much room for it. Kandy has a good choice for one to two nights. The chef is super, Md can't help but mention it! The pool is good, but it is too cold to get into the water."
