"Xishuangbanna Jinghong Jimu River View Hotel is amazing! Located along the riverside, it offers the perfect viewpoint for sunsets and evening views. You can see the bridge across the Mekong River and the buildings on the opposite shore, beautifully lit with colorful lights—a truly breathtaking sight. The hotel is also close to street food vendors and food/fruit shops just below the building. The night market is only a 10-15 minute walk away, making this location ideal. The facilities and services, including A/C, a tea kettle, hair dryer, swimming pool, airport pickup, breakfast, slippers (changed daily!), towels, washing machine (this surprised me!), toothbrush, toothpaste, tissue paper, and more, are excellent—better than other hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s essentially a smart hotel! There’s a Xiaodu AI (like Google Alexa or Siri) to help you manage room functions such as opening/closing curtains, turning lights on/off, and controlling music—it's so innovative! However, it currently only supports Mandarin. The bathroom features an automated toilet with self-flushing, a heated seat, and an automatic bidet. One thing to note is that there is no door or partition between the toilet/bathroom and the bedroom, so it’s an open design. If you’re sharing the room with friends or others you don’t know well, be mindful of this for privacy. The staff here are friendly and helpful, although their English is limited. They do their best to use translation tools, which is appreciated and works fine. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00, so if you want to enjoy it, an early wake-up is necessary, haha! The food is simple and leans more towards Chinese style rather than Western, with options like noodles, cakes, stir-fried vegetables, soy milk, fresh milk, and watermelon. Overall, I rate this hotel 10/10! The few minor points I mentioned are easy to overlook, and the price is affordable and reasonable. You won’t find another hotel like this anywhere else! Don’t hesitate to make this hotel a memorable part of your trip—you won’t regret it! (I made two bookings for this hotel—so don’t be surprised if you see this review twice!)"

"Although surroundings are still developing and not all amenities were free, such as snooker and table tennis, it’s a great hotel, I had an enjoyable time staying at this hotel, highly recommended. Celebrated my birthday there and was surprised by both the red wine and birthday cake! Lynn had been fantastic, looking after us throughout the stay, can’t ask for more. The room was spacious, clean and services were excellent as expected from Sheraton. Will definitely visit again!"

"I love this eco-friendly hotel. The reason why located far from downtown, it has pros and cons. Swimming pool is a bit cold on Dec. Breakfast is nice, especially noodles, even if I am foreigner, I totally satisfied."

"This is a very cost-effective hotel with a great location. It is only a few minutes' walk from Xingguang Night Market. It provides free airport pick-up service. The room facilities are very new, the room is spacious and bright, the bedding is comfortable and soft, and the sound insulation is very good. I slept very quietly at night without any noise. It has a smart Xiaodu, the room is very clean, and there is a large bathtub. A disposable bathtub cover is provided. Take a bath to relieve the fatigue of the journey. The front desk service is also very enthusiastic. In short, it is a very good stay experience and worth recommending."

"The hotel is in a popular location and close to many restaurants and shops - especially for purchasing locally grown tea and coffee. The hotel itself is with a building that houses multiple hotel companies that rent floors within the building and this building name is not mentioned in the Trip.com booking receipt. As we are able to speak fluent Chinese we are able to call the hotel and find out where exactly it was. The staff were very helpful and met us in the car park to assist with our luggage and check-in. The room itself was spacious and the bed reasonably comfortable. The downside is the windows are very thin and do not block out the street sounds and we are treated a drunk argument between a couple at around 6am. The city is a popular tourist destination within China and many people go to wear the local costumes and have photos taken - we found so much of the make-up used for these photo taking on the floor of the room. Also, for some inexplicable reason the doorbell rang itself around every hour throughout the night. If you are looking for a low cost room and you sleep deeply then this hotel is quite reasonable. There is no restaurant located in the hotel but there are many places to east nearby."

"I stayed at this place in Xishuangbanna, and while it’s not exactly a traditional hotel, it felt more like a short-stay apartment rental. The room came with free pickup service from the airport or railway station, which was very helpful — although we did have to wait a little bit for the driver. A friendly lady eventually found us at the drop-off point near the building and took us to the room. There’s no reception or extra facilities — it’s just the room itself. The room is starting to show some signs of wear, but overall it was still comfortable and acceptable for a short stay. The location is actually great: it’s within walking distance to the famous night market, making it easy to explore in the evenings. My stay happened during the Songkran Festival, so the whole area was full of energy, water fights, and celebrations. Because of this, my experience might be a little biased — things were messier and livelier than usual, but it added to the fun! If you’re looking for a simple, well-located place and don’t mind a no-frills experience, this is a good option — especially during festival time!"

Ms. Veina is not only a very charming and helpful person, but she really tried to make my trip a very special one. No request was too much for her, she always showed a true sense of hospitality and provided very professional service. "The room is very comfortable and beautiful. You can soak in the hot spring directly in the yard. The housekeeper cleans it and drains the water. . There are welcome fruits and afternoon tea, and there are many types of breakfast. . It is cost-effective to take this on Ctrip. . There are peacocks and kittens in the yard. . "We have been visiting the Pullman Resort during our Golden Week Holiday. The hotel was quite empty despite the festival season. We also know the Pullman in Sanya Bay well and were somewhat disappointed of the one in Xishuangbanna. Overall, the hotel was way too expensive for the provided quality and services, we cannot recommend it. Pro: The hotel has been a nice choice due to its rooms in good conditions but nothing “special”. + The location is a bit outside of Jinghong - so it’s quiet and green, you can do nice small walks in the area of the resort + Since it wasn’t full, you could easily get some space during breakfast + The breakfast was quite nice (but monotonous after 3 days). + Very nice of the breakfast staff: in the last morning they provided us some bacon since the children were looking for it Cons: General: - The service level was not good at many places of the hotel: - No English speaking staff in the hotel. Especially at the reception it’s a big disadvantage - No shuttle service to public spaces - In the area are not many shops or restaurants and at least many were closed during our stay (maybe because of Golden Week) - The outside breakfast area is not nice and you are more or less forced to sit inside due to pest control during morning - The intensity of pest control was terrible; every day they sprayed somewhere in the hotel chemicals. During the morning the garden was fully covered in smog of chemicals and you cannot go outside; even inside the breakfast area you could smell it; one day in the afternoon the entrance street to the street was fully covered with smog and it was almost impossible to walk through there, due to pest control the whole garden is literally dead, don’t expect nice butterflies or dragonflies - it’s all gone (see the first picture) The pool service is poor for many reasons: - You cannot order any food or drink at the pool; - They don’t have any seat mattresses/cover, you have to sit on the blank chairs - The number of seats at the pool is very limited, even when the hotel was not full, not every person could get a seat - The sunshade umbrellas are useless as they cannot be moved or changed and their direction does not protect well against the sun - The requirement to wear a swimming cap is strange and everyone needed to buy one… Overall: We cannot recommend the hotel for higher price, if you get it for low price it’s a good deal but look for some alternative if you can."
