"Wonderful place and wonderful family! The best accommodation we stayed in in China. Perfect position very close to the monastery. Very clean.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a snack of dried dates, bread, butter and tzampa, accompanied by some delicious tea.
We stayed with this family for two days and they always offered us breakfast, the first day with house tea and fresh bread, the second day with coffee and fried bread.
We spent the evening with them and they always kept offering us food and tea, always making us feel welcome.
The house is wonderful, ******* style, wooden, always very clean.
The beds are really comfortable, and they have a warming blanket. Inside our room we also had an electric heater to warm ourselves, which made the room really warm and cosy.
The bathroom has hot water.
You can fill your water bottles from the drinking water containers they have in front of each room.
We always saw them cleaning the common areas.
The owner, his wife and their three children welcomed us warmly like family.
I will recommend them to all my friends.

"Very nice staff and extremely close to the monastery entrance without the noise being too bad, tucked round a corner off the main drag.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable - the only issue we had was no hot water for the first night/ morning - after we spoke to the lady at reception it was fine for the remainder of our stay.
The bar area is nice, we didn't try the food but very cosy for drinks."

"This guesthouse has a lot of local character, and the rooms are decorated very warmly and kept very clean. It's also quiet at night. It's not far from Labrang Monastery, and you can walk there, which perfectly helps you avoid traffic.
The owners are wonderful people, and our family of three had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you for your warm hospitality; we truly felt at home ❤️"

"We opted for tent camping on the Sangke Grassland during the Gannan Loop! It was a unique experience. The campsite had a one-on-one butler, and a friendly staff member helped us with our luggage both during check-in and check-out. The service was excellent! The breakfast was simple, as shown in the picture, but it was filling. The campsite had a beautiful view, and the campsite was relatively quiet on our arrival day, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful night. However, since it's on the grassland, there were plenty of flying insects, making it feel quite pristine!"

"The room was small and poorly soundproofed; you could hear your neighbors talking. The toilet seat had fallen off, and there was no hairdryer in the room, making it inconvenient to wash your hair. The only downside was the beautiful courtyard, where you could relax in the evenings. Definitely avoid the restaurant next door!"

I am very satisfied with my trip. I selected Treasure B&B. The rooms are very unique and the boss and staff are very enthusiastic! We arranged special breakfast and dinner, and also upgraded the room type for free. It was a great stay experience!

By the time we arrived at the B&B, our family was exhausted. As the car pulled up to the alley entrance, my family members said, ”Looks like your B&B booking is a dud.” But when the guy who picked us up arrived with our luggage in a tricycle, it felt like a friend's home. Many guests gathered and chatted, and the landlords and their spouses joined in the conversation. They seemed like cultured people, not at all like a commercial hotel. The atmosphere was wonderful. Both our children remarked that this was the highlight of their trip. Even in Lhasa, we had never stayed in a house with such authentic Tibetan style. The cabinets in the rooms were filled with beautiful, antique Tibetan bowls that were truly captivating. Next to the welcome fruit in each room was a welcome card with heartwarming messages, which made us feel very warm. This place has become a reminder for our next visit.

Outstanding
We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at Shangu. Not only is the guesthouse conveniently located near the monasterybut the hosting family also taught us so much about Tibetan culture. They generously shared their time, traditions, and delicious cuisine—things we would never have experienced anywhere else. They were always kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. And all the food we ate (a lot) was genuinely local, delicious and had the warmth of homemade food. Furthermore, the guesthouse itself was absolutely lovely. The common spaces were very tasteful and inviting, and the rooms were clean, well-designed and beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful sleep, and no problems whatsoever. We will never forget these few days at Shangu guesthouse, and our lovely moments with its family. This stay will remain one of the most meaningful memories of our trip to China.

Nice and cozy room. Unfortunately the room was really warm, like 30 degrees, and they could not manage the temperature. We left the window open all day and even during the night when it dropped to freezing, but the room didn't get any colder. That wasn't comfortable. Beside that we had a pleasant stay near the monastery.

The B&B makes people who are away from home feel like they are back home, with delicious dishes and a warm and homely environment. You can see the misty mountains and the strange rain in the surrounding area. You can also drink tea and rest in the lobby. It is not far from the scenic area and there is a parking lot at the door. It is worth it for those who go out!

Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover Tibetan culture. I recommend staying here not only for the comfort of the hotel but also for the wonderfully warm atmosphere. 在Xicheng Inn 的入住体验令人难忘。酒店装饰别致温馨，三楼的图书室尤其迷人——里面摆满了文化工艺品、游戏和书籍，待上一整天都不会无聊！酒店员工的待客之道无可挑剔，我虽是独自旅行，却从未感到孤单。他们会带客人漫步古城，领略藏地文化风情。我强烈推荐这里，不仅因为舒适的住宿环境，更因那份宾至如归的温暖氛围。

The hotel is extremely close to the monastery. Some people at the reception speak english and they can book you a private tour to visit the grasslands and the monasteries outside the city that otherwise would be unreacheables for 400rmb per vehicle. The room is big and the beds are warm.
