Too many people, crowds everywhere. Small property, crowds when needs to rinse sand from the feet. Nothing to do in the evenings. Poor quality of food, same one everyday. Big waives on the beach. Not for small kids.

Transportation from the airport to hotel was a bit frustrating until we found the person at the airport, after were transported the hotel was fun and welcoming. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the food at the Japanese restaurant and ate a bad eggs that got me sick.
The hotel accomodations are awesome.

The property was great, the staff was amazing as well as the food and drinks.
The problem was the actual room (0152), as there was a bad smell of still-water every time the AC was turned on, day and it intensified at night.
We made seral, and I mean several callas and request to have the issue fixed as well as complaint about the smell to the Riu team, cleaning crew and maintenance.
The front desk sent the maintenance team to try and fix the issue to no avail. Additionally the toilet tank would leak water every 10-15 minutes non stop. this was also mentioned to the front desk but it was also never fixed.
Six day of that horrible smell during the day and night, plus listening to the toilet tank leak was way too much and made for a difficult stay at this particular All Inclusive Resort.
The cleaning lady did her best to mask the smell but it would intensify every single night. The next door also complaint about it and not sure what happen to their complaints.

The whole facility was clean, the staff was none stop keeping up with the maintenance. The staff was very polite and attentive. This is more of a family environment, nice and quiet with not too loud music. But it does turn up at night…

Beautiful beach and property. Staff was friendly and food was good. I believe they were fully book so sometimes they struggled to keep up at Pepe’s grill.

Last day on rui palace december 2023:
Pros:
-neat hotel in general
-friendly staff
-new building
-neat rooms
- bars were ok
-nice beach
-good water park
-nice pools
Cons:
-internet was horrible, 3g network or H of connect to phone network, constant interruption in wifi, slow. I was not able to do office work effectively
- we had difficult time to find shadow around pools. The protection and umbrellas were hard to use.not all of us want to get bakes under the sun.
Beach was good but has no shadows. In dominican we had hot like umbrellas close to ocean where we could watch our kids play or enjoy sound of ocean without dlthe danager of getting burned.
- food quality was mediocre. I did not enjoy anything that was made of meat. If food is important for you this is not your hotel.
-Music and night activities were moderate in quality. I expected more for a 8/10 resort.

A wonderful time! The staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. We preferred to eat at the buffet, which had a large selection and variety so you can find something decent. The pools were great, but I wished they were warmer and open later. Mainly families or couples for a relaxed but fun vibe. The beach was beautiful, as was our oceanfront view. Recommend!
