The most quaint place I have ever stayed! Felt very much like a home away from home. VERY CLEAN. Easy to check in/out. If you have a large back you might have trouble navigating up the stairs, so maybe request a ground level room, but views are just stunning. Breakfast had lots of options and was sufficient. Loved staying here and would highly recommend.

Our stay at Petrino Guesthouse was very disappointing. The room itself was lovely and the view from the balcony was exceptional. The bathroom beautiful. Our biggest disappointment was that the place had no heart or soul, there wasnt anyone anywhere. It was contactless check in and after finally getting through the door and nearly falling down the cellar steps (the hatch was left open, right at the side of the entrance door) we scaled the north face of the Eiger to get up the very steep stairs to our room. We paid €250 for 2 nights and they were paper cups for the drinks! We're not snobs but for that price you expect proper cups. There was no teaspoon and after setting up a WhatsApp connection (the only means of communication with staff), I was told to go get one myself from the cellar. I said I would wait for them to bring one next time they cleaned, as it was very dark down there and was told to use the torch on my phone.. ! After we got one the next (late) afternoon from the top of the stairs in the communal room, it was immediately removed when the room was cleaned the next morning. We had used an extra cover for the bed, which was also immediately packed away in the wardrobe again, making us feel like we had done something wrong by using it. We had to ask by WhatsApp when and where breakfast was as there was no information in the room. It was in the cellar, so next morning we braved the steep steps. There were 2 ladies down there and it was absolute basic kalimera/ tea/coffee/yoghurt words, no conversation. Breakfast was ok but no fresh milk, it was the same little cartons used in the room. The restaurant they suggested in the information we found online was down a very steep hill and after walking for ages, never reached it. We went in the first we came to and had to scale the hill back up again. We went in the cafe bar opposite later and it was fabulous, full of lovely people and the food (we had pizzas the next evening, not very Greek but they looked good) was great. It had a really good atmosphere which Petrino most definitely lacked. On leaving Petrino there was a woman sat at the reception desk but she had all on to speak. Maybe a language barrier you say, but I speak Greek so there was no excuse. For us it was very disappointing, the Greek piloxenia is what we love. The place we wanted to go, where we'd been before, was fully booked so it had a lot to live up to before the stay started. As I said the building was lovely but not for those with walking difficulties or difficulties with steep steps as hand rails were lacking at the top. I think it was most definitely overpriced for the service we received. Extremely disappointing

This may be a very good pension in Monemvasia. However, we decided not to stay; a major dredging operation was ongoing in the harbor directly in front of the inn, and other construction was ingoing just behind the inn. Although we arrived before check in time, and the construction stopped in the afternoon, the next day it was going full blown in the morning again. Obviously, photos on the website did not show a dredging operation, but Management should be upfront with clients about changing context and views. Again, this might- when dredging is completed- be a very nice place to stay or, if you don’t care about views and construction noise during the day, as you might just be looking for a place to lay your head at night, this might be very good.

The location was great-we were able to start our hikes to the monasteries right from the hotel without dealing with parking nightmares. Check in was not done in person. You needed to follow instructions from the owner to put code in to get a key. Was a bit complicated especially since we arrived when it was getting dark. I prefer having an in person introduction to the room. The room was clean and the beds comfy but it was very dark. One of the lamps did not have a bulb in it. They took care of it for us but the light was still not sufficient. There were not many places to plug in electronics and none by the bed. The breakfast was pretty bad. We ended up eating breakfast our last day in Kalambaka.

Booked for one night but stayed for two. Really beautiful accommodation and a super breakfast with a fantastic host. Would definitely come again to this lovely spot which is perfect when the sun shines and cozy when it doesn't.

We had a fantastic stay at the Guesthouse Sotiriu. It’s a solidly built building with beautiful warm wood inside. The view from Our room was awesome overlooking Kastraki. The hostess is an extremely kind lady and her helper as well is very friendly. They provide a hearty breakfast in the mornings, the cute little dining room has a homey feel about it- it’s overlooking the garden. They get fresh bread everyday which is super yummy. mrs. Voula gives great recommendations of the places of interest, restaurants and taxis. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here if we ever go back

Lovely guesthouse accommodation in a wonderful location. Includes free parking in front of the house which was very helpful. Walking distance to restaurants, and the breakfast was great!

Old-fashioned decor - in a positive way - and typical architecture. Impressive location at the foot of the rock formations and close to the major monasteries with a short taxi ride. The village offers a number of decent dining options but steep and hilly roads may constitute an obstacle for those who have diffculties walking. (Which would also be a problem to visit the monasteries as such.)

The owner was incredibly helpful in letting us know what to do around Meteora. Views from our room were incredible and the room itself was beautiful. Breakfast every morning was the best I’ve had in Greece! I would definitely stay here again.
