My partner and I came to stay for a spa break and really enjoyed our stay, but the hotel could benefit from a few tweaks. Pros: - Gorgeous facilities and decor. The restaurants and spa were just fantastic and the ambience was very special - felt very modern Scottish country hotel. - Pricing of the stay and food and drinks were fair and reasonable for quality. Cons: - The temperature in the hotel was very warm, and this meant the rooms were hot and despite air con we couldn’t seem to bring the temperature down enough and it meant we didn’t sleep well. - The pillows on the bed in the rooms were awful - no shape and flat.

The Roxburghe is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at with a golf course that is a great challenge.

What a place. Absolutely beautiful setting, above and beyond staff, spa was so relaxing we didn’t want to leave. Hotel room just had everything you needed right to hand. My new favourite place.

We loved everything about our stay, the fact you were able to use the facilities all day upon arrival and departure. The house itself has so much history and character, the rooms are lovely and clean and the food was delicious.

Such a lovely hotel. Fab staff, very knowledgeable. Gorgeous views over golf course from our room. Stunning spa, lovely warm water despite the chill in the air. Delicious food. Only thing wrong was the bar could’ve been a bit more comfy, sofas are very hard and uninviting. Same in drawing room where we had afternoon tea. That said, hotel definitely worth a visit.

Visited State Room , ordered 3 coffees. 20 minutes later they arrived, one luke warm, two had to be sent back as cold. No checkback done. Went to buy £200 gift voucher from Concierge. Told I couldn’t, only online. Explained I had no printer???

Not much to say really. This is a typical five start hotel with all the features you’d expect. Bar, grounds, staff, spa, room, etc. all really are worthy of the five stars. The only slight let down was the food. Don’t misunderstand this, it was nice. Nice but not what you would hope for in a five star hotel (and we do stay in a lot of them). Will we go back? Yes definitely.

Made to feel very welcome ! The team were super helpful, bubbly and made everyone felt relaxed! Nicola did great and helped us change our evening meal three times due to childcare! Even helped my partner have a longer lie and spa stay to make up for her later arrival. The evening drinks were superb Taine is a master of his craft and had a wealth of knowledge chatting about whiskeys and gins until late in the night laid back guy and so efficient at his job! The evening meal was faultless great food And the rooms were spotless abt turndown service a nice touch. Only negative missing a dressing table for my partner and some funny layout of certain things with a few dead areas which needed tweaking!? Couldn’t fault on staff they’ve made the place
