SureStay Hotel by Best Western Kemptville

It's obvious that a lot of work has been put into this motel recently to make it look nicer. One of the issues we had when staying here was the incredibly noisy heating unit. It kept kicking off and on and was so loud we eventually just set it to fan, but the room got so cold we had to turn it back on again for a while. This went on all night to the point we eventually got up and left at 5:30 in the morning. The other critique I have is around customer service. Although the staff were perfectly nice, I found it odd that when I came in I had to pickup a phone to let someone know I was at the desk to check in. They answered the phone as if they didn't know who was calling them. This isn't great customer service and also, I don't want to pickup a phone that who knows how many other people have been using and put it to my ear. For these reasons I would not stay here again.

We were visiting some friends who live just outside Kemptville and needed a room for the night. The SureStay was close and convenient to get to. It may not look fancy from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised and impressed at how warm, welcoming and clean it is on the inside. Our room was beyond our expectations with cleanliness and decor. The breakfast bar in the morning meet our needs and we loved the selection of coffee available.

Next time will book with the hotel and not through *******. We checked out a day early but had to pay 2 days because the hotel had to pay commission for 2 nights to *******. We tried to reach ******* by phone but finally gave up trying. The hotel was as expected. Problem was with *******.

The room was musty like a dank cellar with horrible sulphur -like (rotten eggs) odour emitting from the bathroom. The bed and media/TV access were great. The best part of the stay was the staff who were kind, friendly and very helpful -- for this reason alone, I'd stay at this property again.

Love this place. Clean , country setting. But the bed was too high. I couldnt get on the bed , needed a stool but no stool available. Ill bring my own stool next time.

Clean comfortable room for price. Not alot in the area but good gor passing through.

Very clean, great breakfast options, not within walking distance of anything. Staff was friendly.

The property was convenient for travelling in the area around Kemptville and was only about 45 minutes to downtown Ottawa. Our room looked like it had been renovated in the last 5 years or so and the renovation was poorly done. There was the smell of sewer gas in the bathroom room when you ran water or if you flushed the toilet. Breakfast was very limited. This was the worst Best Western I have every stay at. The staff were fine and the room was cleaned every day. Would never return to this hotel.

This hotel is perfectly set up if you have a large dog with you. There is close access to the large yard for pet walks on a leash in the evening and early morning.
