I like it very much, the location is not far from Ton Tan Market, very convenient to travel, lovely staff, good service, personally, staying here for the second time, recommend it for anyone who is traveling to Khon Kaen, the price is good, but I would like to criticize the accommodation, there is no hair dryer, everything else is ok. Personally, go to rest and have to carry a drive. Next round to Khon Kaen, I will stay here again.

It is a hotel in Khon Kaen located parallel to the sky train. So far, it's actually okay. The indoor swimming pool is also an outdoor swimming pool. Our complaint (Defective safes, non-functional TVs and defective hinged closets) were quickly processed and repaired. We hope that the request to put a chair on the balcony has also been actively processed and provided. Breakfast Asian👍 and American👍. The food in the restaurant is great and inexpensive. Sufficient parking spaces are available and free of charge. We will be back.

We booked here on our first trip to Khon Kaen looking for some affordable accommodation close to the Lake. The place is relatively new and set up for Business Travellers locally in Thailand we suspect. Nevertheless its clean with a great bathroom and comfy beds and aircon. The location is down a laneway close to the lake. Its not in the main part of the city but we are avid walkers so easily made the trip walking to local markets and restaurants. There are eating places close by and a good bar in the Sunset Bar within walking distance.The staff managed by Pepsi were very helpful and also rang the car rental company to come and do the paper work along with the car. There are a couple of things we would like to see added. Firstly they need a good local map showing resaturants and bars especially for us travelling foreigners! Secondly its set up as an apartment with a small kitchen both it doesn't have any appliances or cooking utensils which is very odd given its purpose. Thirdly given the location it would have been nice to have an area with a bar / lounge area to relax in at the end of the day. We are seeing this through our western eyes and locals might have other needs maybe. Overall we liked the accommodation would stay there next time visiting this part of Thailand.

We stayed at the Mantra Varee for 1 night in May 2019 when visiting the Green Market. We did think that it would be within walking distance to the market but on advice of hotel staff we used a taxi for the short drive! Following a swift check in with the very pleasant staff we were lead to our superior room. Having paid only £16 (with a small promo included) I was instantly surprised at how big it was! In fact every aspect of the room was better than I expected for the price. Stylish decor with a decent bed, shower and wifi. Small negatives would be not a fat lot of storage if staying for more than a couple of days and then there was the bed surround. Looked good but a bit faffy and meant you had to get out of bed twice, visit and you'll see what I mean! On exploring the location of the hotel there's not a great deal in the close proximity. There is a 7-11 roughly 200 yards away and if you walk for 11 minutes you reach the neat little Fairy Mall. We had a mooch here and ate some really decent food in the court. The hotel has a pool and gym, neither of which I got to use but I took a look. The pool was pleasant looking for a quick dip but not really big enough for lengths. The gym was what I would call a token gym ie. small and poorly equipped. We did eat breakfast at the Mantra Varee and I would describe it as very so so. There is very limited choice on offer at the buffet. I had rice soup which was bland and unseasoned. There is a 'nespresso' style machine for coffee with buttons to select all manner of fancy coffees but whatever you press you end up with watery black coffee! I wouldn't choose breakfast as an option unless it was included! On the whole, the Mantra Varee is a good budget choice with an ok location and friendly staff. I would stay here again.
