Hakone Hotels with Kitchens

"This is one of the best experience I have ever had! A very friendly owner + impeccable service. They offer pick-up drop-off services at togendai and oishishita, and when I asked whether they can drop off the luggage at Gora they said yes!!! Saved me so so much time!! Great room, not the most luxurious but definitely comfy. Be aware there is no private showers though. But needless to say, when theres an onsen why would you need a private shower! The onsen is great in a sense that since it's a small hotel, there was rarely anybody. It's almost like a private onsen. The water temperature of the inner one is just right, but the outdoor one, when it's snowing is quite cold. Also, the outdoor onsen had some debris as well. So the quality of the onsen isnt top notch but for the price, it's already way above my expectations. (Also you can see mount fuji as you are enjoying the onsen!) Only downside is the location. When they offer very good pick-up and drop off services, the luggage system from the railway doesn't include this hotel. This forced me to start the trip at togendai (you could ask then to simply pick up your luggage). Not a big problem if I have known this beforehand, but I had to change plans and get on the pirate ship first, so be aware!! Overall. 10/10 experience. Good price, good room, excellent service. Would come again definitely!!"

"Check-in was easy, and I received an email a few days prior with instructions. The room was generally clean and tidy. The view right outside the hotel was stunning. It was so chill to walk to a coffee shop in the morning. The only downside is that Moto-Hakone is a bit remote; most restaurants close after 6 PM. You might need to drive about half an hour (on mountain roads) to find a livelier town."

"A perfect experience! The hotel was very clean and tidy, and both the bedroom and living room felt incredibly spacious 🌟 1. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which was great 👍🏻 2. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for simple cooking – no issues at all. 3. The sofa and space in the living room allowed for complete relaxation, and opening two suitcases didn't cause any obstruction. 4. The bed was very comfortable and spotless. 5. The view was absolutely superb."

"This modern, minimalist onsen hotel in Hakone Sengokuhara is fantastic! The staff speak English, and it's super convenient to get around with a bus stop right outside, perfect for visiting the nearby museums. The rooms are comfortable and come with a balcony and a kitchen. We stayed two nights and booked dinner both times. One night we had an incredible American-style steak delivered to our room – seriously, it was as good as Wolfgang's! The other night we enjoyed a wonderful Japanese-French fusion dinner, and the waitstaff explained every dish. A truly wonderful stay!"

"The atmosphere was fantastic, and they even had a campfire BBQ at night. The hotel has a kitchen, so you can buy ingredients and cook for yourself, and there's a 7-Eleven and Lawson nearby, which is really convenient for grabbing things. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and I plan to recommend it to my friends."

"I stayed overnight on my way back from climbing Mt. Kintoki. Since I was traveling alone, I booked a capsule-type room (sleeping space). The guests were mostly Western and Chinese, and there weren't many Japanese people there on weekdays. There was also a hot spring and the common areas were well-equipped. There were no noisy people, so I was able to sleep quietly. It's only 5-6 minutes to the convenience store and about 10 minutes to the tozan railway station."

"The staff is young and enthusiastic, can actively communicate in English, and is friendly to foreigners. "Highly recommend this hotel, though the building looks weird but the view from the hotel rooms, onsen and the free lounge was amazing. However this place is only accessible if you have a vehicle. The public Bath had two outdoor tubs with beautiful view of the Mt fuji. I have stayed with the hotel next to outlet before, in comparison, this was so much quieter, less crowds and better view."

"The location is excellent being 2mins from Gora-Eli station. It is surrounded by private onsens and even some good restaurants. It’s a below average guest house without any lift or elevator. 2 flight of steps to the front desk and men’s and family rooms, 1 flight of steps to the ladies. It warrants a lot of work on cleanliness service and amenities to grow its image. The only saving grace is its excellent location next to Gora station and the ropeway/cablecar bringing you to Lake Ashi, Owakudani and many places of interest.."

"Excellent hotel for breakaway at Hakone, especially for families. Clean, spacious, comes with kitchen, full set of utensils and cutleries, dining table, and even dish washer, private hotspring bath and outdoor hotspring leg rest, balcony, you name it. Also “unmanned” concept - electronic check-in, password instead of room card/key, assistance is provided remotely. Rather futuristic feel. Good experience. Not to mention great view!"
