"Overall, the stay was quite pleasant. The room was comfortable and cozy, and it was nice to have YouTube available on the TV. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The remote control had no battery, which made it inconvenient to use. The sink was clogged and drained very slowly. Also, there was some trash left inside the fridge, so cleanliness could be improved a little more."

"This hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away. It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.) 1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed. 2) The staff were warm and friendly. 3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful. 4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice). Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice."

"Overall, the stay was good, but the handling of an accident involving the room key was very unprofessional. I accidentally left the room key (only one set was provided) inside the room. When I reached out for assistance, the customer service staff seemed more focused on blaming me rather than helping to resolve the situation. The incident happened around 6pm. Initially, I was told that a staff member would come over, and I was even asked to prepare a tip for the assistance—which I didn’t mind, as I just wanted the issue resolved so I could have peace of mind for dinner. However, things did not go as promised. I was told to go out first and wait to be contacted when the staff was about to arrive. I went to a nearby shop for dinner and waited, but as expected, no update came. I tried messaging and calling multiple times, but there was no response. After some time, another staff member messaged in the WhatsApp group, suggesting that I go for a walk while they arranged for someone to enter the room to look for the key without my presence. I was not entirely comfortable with this, but I agreed as I had little choice. At around 9pm, the customer service staff contacted me again to ask where I might have dropped the key. I politely suggested checking the living room floor area. Unfortunately, the reply I received was sarcastic, which made the whole experience even more unpleasant. To keep it brief, while the property itself was fine, the customer service was unfriendly and the handling of the situation was disappointing."

"The hotel is clean and smell really good. The room is spaciou and bed is good. We have good night rest. Shower pressure is good and bathroom size is just nice. The only complaint we have is the shower glass panels is too small and this cause the water splash out. room is well equipped with all emenities. They even provide red wine glasses, and plates in the rooms. What surprise me is they have a big cabinet that is with combination lock. This is a very good facility for whoever have big bag to keep safe."

"Called at 10am to request early check in. Advised of additional cost. Agreed. Arrived at 12:30. Checked in. Went up to the room. Room was not ready. Requested room change and left luggage at reception. Went to the beach. Returned at 15:30 and checked in. TV was damaged. Lukewarm shower. TV screen damaged. WIFI not very good. Washing machine was beneficial. Quiet area. Isolated. Not much in the vicinity. I’d rented a car, so not an inconvenience. Requested early check in fee refund the next day. They said needed superior approval. Didn’t hear back for a while. Requested a follow up, stating payment for service not rendered must be refunded. They agreed. However, it felt like somewhat of a strange interaction, as their smirks were as if I shouldn’t have asked for it. Customer service was not agreed, although they rectified errors etc, the demeanor and reluctance was evident. The bed was comfortable. This type of accommodation is better for group travel. It was a spur of a moment booking due to urgent matter, and the property is nearest to the location I needed to be. That is all."

"Easy check-in and convenient parking! The parking lot is right behind the hotel, connected by a skybridge. Got a room for RM98 that's easily worth RM200 – what a steal! It's within walking distance to the mall, very clean, and not noisy at all."

"Love this hotel coz is superb convenient,we took coach frm Sengkang to the hotel. The room itself is big nice n clean. Just the service not so happy whem we call.for room servive they answer vry fast but our needs was not fufilled call till 5 was transfer n no one anwer for room service we wamted order some fpod for the kids. Timing was 8.30pm. The nxt day try again was transfer the call n one answer, so total try twice only no amswer we give up. There is variety of places to eat nearby by to malls and tourist atrraction."

"Stayed here and overall it was a mixed experience. The hotel is old, but I have to give credit to the housekeeping team as the cleanliness is well maintained throughout the stay. The location is not the most strategic, but still manageable. It is within walking distance to Jonker Street and several tourist attractions like A Famosa, Stadthuys, Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum, and the Melaka Ship Museum, which is quite convenient for sightseeing. However, there were a few downsides. We booked a king size bed but ended up with two single beds combined. Unfortunately, one of the beds had a faulty spring, which caused some discomfort during sleep. In terms of pricing, it feels slightly on the higher side considering the condition of the hotel and the issues experienced. Overall, acceptable for a short stay, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially in room quality and value for money."
