Mio Boutique Hotel
"Mio Boutique Hotel location is excellent, as it is connected to many places of interest within 15 min walk. From this hotel, you can access Little India, Jonker Street, etc. very easily. Also, there are many eateries both street food and fine dining located within few 100 meters distance. There is a 7/11 and a general grocery shop within same building at ground level. So, stay wise, the location is excellent if you are there for sight seeing. The hotel rooms layout itself is not very ideal, as only few rooms are facing the open view towards river. We were lucky to be accommodated to get a change of the room from back side to front side facing river view. The front desk manager was very cooperative and immediately attended to our concern as the previously allocated room had a small window with practically no view. The room had basic facilities very neat and tidy. The cleanliness of the room, the bed, etc. were excellent. Improvement can be made in the shower area as the enclosure is open and tend to spill all water in the toilet during the shower, which can be a safety hazard due to slippery conditions. The breakfast area is where maximum improvement is needed. The chairs are filthy, with droppings from previous customers cleaned directly on the chairs. The attendants are not up to mark, as there is no action taken when the food is to be replenished until new diners point out that there is no food left in the serving bowls. The breakfast food options are very limited. However, if you are ready to spend money, there are lot of options outside just at the corner of the building. The Wi-Fi is very unstable and if you do not have a good data plan, you will really suffer. Even after Wi-Fi is connected, the internet does not connect and then after some time, stops working all together. But, since we had a data plan, we did not feel much adverse effect of that. Overall, in spite of these limitations, due to hotel location, we spent most of our time outside sight seeing and had a very good time."

"Room is clean with basic setting - bed, table, chair, kettle, small fridge etc. Staff were courteous and helpful. Gym has cardio machines and free weights with bench. Location is at the start of the tourist attractions, about 10mins walk to Jonker street. Ample parking space behind the hotel."

We love the smell once we enter the hotel lobby...after so many years, Hotel Arissa still maintaining the hotel well. That is why we keep staying here whenever we are in Melaka. Coway water dispenser was well provided at every lift entrance floor and that makes us convenient to get hot or cold water at any time. Thank you for fixing the toilet bowl so efficiently."
