Castaway Resort Koh Lipe Reviews

Nice place with all things that you can do, nice food and activity.

I came to Koh Lipe and chose this place with very low expectations. But the beach bungalow at Castaway really blew my expectations. I've stayed in many beach front properties during my travels,but this one is literally right by the white Sandy beach. Totally giving you the beach getaway. The bungalow is two stories, the top floor houses the main/big bedroom with huge terrace/verandah complete with lounge chairs and swings. Two more beds can be found on the ground floor including a big bathroom The restaurant/beach bar is amazing. Great service with variety of choices. The seaside massage hut also didn't dosappoint. Getting a massage with the sound of rolling waves just hit differently. The BEST part, I booked the island hopping and snorkeling trip directly from the hotel and we got picked up right in front of the place.Not just that, the price is cheaper than the ones offered on the walking street. We got the whole boat just to three of us for 600 THB each, heck, it even includes underwater photography and video. The cute and friendly three-legged paw paw resort patrol is just an icing on the cake. Great price, amazing experience, excellent hospitality by the staffs made me smile as I write this review. I will be back!!

We loved castaway the bungalows were decorated really nicely and staff were there to help with anything. It was very hot as you’ll read in other reviews but they gave us an extra fan which did the trick. They also gave us mosquito spray for the room. I would recommend taking ear plugs and an eye mask as there is no soundproofing from the noises of the Forrest and from other people in their bungalows which can be quite loud. There isn’t really an option to sit in the sun since it’s mostly shaded by trees but it’s easy enough to walk up the beach and find a spot elsewhere.

Such a beautiful property and location, I couldn’t recommend enough. The location, staff, food and views were all 10/10. The bungalows are such a lovely experience. We didn’t have a problem without air con, the fan kept us nice and cool (even on the colder side) at night and it’s not ridden with misquotes, just make sure the doors are shut and you lather on mosquito cream if you’re prone to being bitten! The staff are very polite and helpful and 50Bhat taxis arrived quickly on request. The food is good, and the happy hour was great, but the property is so close to walking street you can’t miss it! There’s a diving school on site, but we only had time to kayak and snorkel. Definitely for couples, perhaps not children.

Family room had two bedrooms. Downstairs bedroom was too dark. Upstairs was better lighting. Full of mosquitoes. Clean rooms

Nice and good place to stay..very near to beach.. hotel are comfortable. Recommended if u like quite place. Far from walking street if u choose to walk.. but the best thing is they also provide free ride tuktuk after checkout.. overall i like this place!

Good spot with stunning sunrise views, solid breakfast at the restaurant with good looking bookshelves, some toys are available for kids to play as well, full of activities to do like Thai massage, yoga (400 Baht/person), kayaking，snorkeling tours are available for booking. Recommending it especially for families.

The staff there are nice and friendly and always wear a smile on their face. They are also helpful❤️Most importantly, the hotel have done so many things for the beautiful island and the environment there which I appreciate it so much. I will recommend this hotel to everyone even though hot water and air con are not available👍🏻❤️

Great location and cute resort

Excellent resort. Well run by helpful staff. Value for money I'd say the best on Koh Lipe.

Friends who choose this hotel, please pay attention. We were robbed in this hotel. We left a document bag with our ID card, bank card, RMB, USD, MYR, driver's license, etc. in the hotel. When we swiped the card when we checked out, we found that the entire document bag was missing! We called the police, but the Thai police have not responded to the progress of the case so far! The waiter went in to blow the fan when we went out to eat, and went in to clean when we went out to sea, so you must carry your valuables with you when you check in. There are many choices, and there is no need to experience this original ecology. The price is not cheap. It is also worth noting that Thailand’s economy has been bad in recent years due to the epidemic, so the waiters, including luggage storage, have stolen things. Carry all valuables with you or put them in the safe, not in the suitcase!
